Hi Eds,

Have Liverpool signed Ghana U20 star Fatawu Abdul Issahaku?

Thanks.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Abdul Fatawu Issahaku (AM/W) Bayer Leverkusen are moving very carefully and slowly to avoid any breach of FIFA rules as the player is represented illegally by an agent due to his age and the have already spoken with FIFA, UEFA and DFB about being able to complete a transfer. It has been made clear that any direct dealings with the agent could result in serious repercussions and this has made the also interested Borussia Dortmund step back as they think that they would be in direct breach of FIFA rules. There is a potential exemption that Bayer Leverkusen could claim. The interest of Liverpool has been mentioned before but not how they would propose to complete any transfer. Servette and Rapid Vienna have been showing an interest and talking with his club but Bayer Leverkusen have had him training with their squad and need DfB approval for an exemption and they should be able to complete the transfer.}

What would Liverpool need to do within the rules of course, to complete such a deal?

{Ed002's Note - Wait until he is 18.}

Ed02.can we actually sign him? He is under 18 years right?

{Ed002's Note - I have answered that.}

He will join after March when he will be 18 years. So for all intents and purposes, we will only see him in Liverpool colours during 2022/ 23 season. Serious potential! A member of the Black Stars at the age of 17. No mean feat.

Respected African Football journalist James Nalton reports that he will be joining Sporting Lisbon on loan next season and a work permit should be a formality when he turns 18 in March.

If anyone hasn't seen any clips, have a look!

He looks handy. Scored 8 and assisted 5 in the first 13 games of his debut season! Looks powerful and has a good touch. Cracking bit of business if confirmed.

Ghana attacker Abdul Fatawu Issahaku is headed to Portugal for a loan spell with Sporting Lisbon.

The deal with the Portuguese side follows Issahaku’s five-year deal with English giants, Liverpool, which was agreed on Saturday evening.

Prior to that, the exciting young winger seemed bound to sign with Bundesliga outfit, Bayer Leverkusen, but that move fell through, handing Liverpool the chance to take the player to Anfield.

The loan deal between the three parties has no certain time limit, with Liverpool indicating the player will undergo development in Portugal until he can play for the Reds in the English Premier League.

The agreement with Sporting does not only serve the football interests of Liverpool, but also the player’s growth. Besides offering him further development, the winger will have otherwise struggled to secure a work permit in England after only turning 17 in March.

The young star is, however, expected back in Ghana as the Black Stars prepare for friendlies with Morocco and South Africa.

English Premier League side Liverpool have gazumped Bayer Leverkusen by snatching Ghana whizkid Abdul-Fatawu Issahaku from the jaws of the German side, Ghanasoccernet. com can exclusively reveal.

The 17-year-old signed a five-year contract with the Reds on Saturday night to complete the Europe move for the highly sought-after player.

The financial terms of the deal remain sketchy but insiders have told Ghanasoccernet. com that the deal is twice as much as what was agreed with Leverkusen.

I want to know Ed's thought on Hakan Calhanoglu to LFC. He is going to be available for free transfer. isn't it going to be a big steal going by his prolific skills?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Hakan Calhanoglu (AM/LW) Player wants a new contract - Milan will oblige if agreement can be reached over his wages - and it may depend on what happens with loanee Bahim Diaz. Al-Duhail, Atletico and Juventus have asked his German-based agent if a move is possible for them. The agent remains keen on the idea to try the player out in England or in Germany again but may have to accept staying in Italy - Juventus may persist. Certainly approaches have been made to Manchester United and Chelsea and there may have been an approach to Spurs and Liverpool - obviously he would cost the club far less than their preferred options to replace Wijnaldum, but it is hard to see how he would fit in.}

Good player, questionable personality. I can't see Klopp wanting him.
