Hi Eds, just wondering if you know whether Roma are wanting to sign Johnson to a pre-contract in January, as suggested in the Telegraph today?

Believable6 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - Glen Johnson is able to negotiate and agree a pre contract with a non-EPL side from January 1 and will certainly be listening to what clubs have to say. There is already known interest from Roma and Besiktas.}

Hi Eds, What are the chances of Vela and Cech coming in Jan?

I know previously you have stated no chance for Vela Ed002, is this down to ourselves being FFP wary. In which case if Balotelli and Sakho were sold, would this increase the chances at all?

If not Cech or Vela, could you see a Striker and Goalkeeper being a possibility in the January window?

Thanks in advance

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool is overrun with forwards already. It makes no sense to be looking to add more in January. Right now I would not expect Balotelli and Sakho to be sold in January, although it is fair to say that Balotelli's agent did make approaches to a number of Italian and English clubs about him.

There has been no interest from Liverpool in Vela or Cech.}

We have lots of forwards, which is true, just not a lot of quality forwards.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - As everyone keeps pointing out, all of the players at Liverpool are useless - like the manager, the coaching staff and the owners. Must be a bit of a bitch getting up and having nothing to moan about.}

Hi Ed002, I get what your saying RE: forwards but if Borini left as expected and Balotelli was sold then it would be a different story?
Surely the owners know we our overrun with forwards, but not very good ones? All I am proposing is that if we sold a few of them, would there be a possibility of a forward arriving in January to assist in our style of play, as the forwards we have now do not complement it (minus Sturridge)

Regarding a goalkeeper, Cech is my personal choice I know a few other names have been muted.

Would you see the possiblity of a chance of a GK arriving in January, to provide sufficient competition to Mignolet?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool has Sturridge, Balotelli, Borini, Lambert, Yetsil with Origi and Aspas in the summer and Markovic and Sterling who could play more centrally if required. No doubt there are some youngsters looking for a chance as the third or fourth choice forward as well - but I see little chance of that happening under Rodgers.

I don't see Liverpool selling "a few" of these players to accommodate another forward in January.

Liverpool has shown no interest in Petr Cech and I would think the chances of him arriving in January are near zero. The club has enquired after a goalkeeper or two but there is nothing firm at this time. Perhaps if someone did not open their big mouth about Valdes there would have been a chance there? But there certainly remains the chance of a goalkeeper arriving.

Huh!? What do you mean it makes no sense to look for more strikers!? Maybe you should look at our goal tally. you're acting like our current striker stocks are doing a fine job!

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed001's Note - you really don't understand management, if you think just adding more forwards is going to fix this problem.}

Hello Ed002,
does any of you believe there's any chance Reus will come to Anfield? I don't buy it, don't think Marco will ever come here. So why don't we just drop it.

I think a young goalie should be given a chance, Simon be sold and a new one brought in in Jan. We definitely need someone who will score goals. Both Mario and Lambert are not good enought. Cheers. :=D

{Ed002's Note - Right now Dortmund would like either a new contract to be signed or to sell Reus abroad (Real Madrid) to avoid Bayern Munich exercising an option in respect of a release clause to give the opportunity for the player to make a move in the summer. They have spoken with another club about him, but they are not interested.

I would not think there is much if any chance of Mignolet being sold in January but the club may look to bring a goalkeeper in.

Liverpool is overrun with forwards already. It makes no sense to be looking to add more.}

Eds, now go gentle but if the current strikers consistently fail to find the net won't something have to change?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - So what would you expect to happen in January? I really can't see Liverpool adding even more strikers in January.}

We may be over run with forwards but they couldn't score in a brothel with a £50 note pinned to their shirt! maybe the question should be any chance of getting rid of the poor forwards we have and replacing them with forwards who know where the back of the net is?

Agree0 Disagree1

Will we ever play anyone else from our over abundance of forwards than look at me Mario and the big slow one!
