BR says there may be one more player to sign in this window. I expect this is Romero yeah?

Almost certainly, can't think of another player we need with Lallana coming back things are looking good.

Or Victor Valdes?

Agree1 Disagree1

Poor goalkeeper and no improvement to Jones so why bother

Agree0 Disagree1

Agree with above Romero is rubbish, I did see they are looking at Valdes on a free. Also, I suspect we need another central midfielder. Particularly, if Lucas is moved on.

{Ed002's Note - It is interesting to see a Liverpool fan yet again putting down a player the club are interested in and then mentioning a player who has absolutely zero chance of passing a medical.}

I'm taking a shot every time Valdes' name was mentioned here (unnecessarily) on deadline day, well, *glugglug* hick. I think I need a lie down

Hi eds, sorry if this has already been answered but do you believe we will sing Romero before the deadline? I'm not sure we need him but just curious as to whether to keep an eye out for a signing while I'm bored at work!

Believable16 Unbelievable4

{Ed002's Note - I would keep an eye out.}

"Romero. .
Whoa-o
Romero. .
Whoa-o"

There, sung. . Job done.

That's tea coming out of your nose funny. Had to put my cup down and everything :)

Eds any truth in us trying to sign victor valdes?

Believable16 Unbelievable32

{Ed002's Note - To sign Valdes at this time would truly transcend the heights of stupidity.}

Are we really looking at Valdes and if yes how bad is his injury?

Believable8 Unbelievable14

{Ed002's Note - I can't imagine for one minute that Liverpool are showing an interest in Valdes at this time. He will be out for months.}

Ed002, sorry if this question has already been asked.

With a lot of talk about the debt incurred by Liverpool's 'spending spree' this summer, and the subsequent effect on meeting FFP regulations with the added wages, cost of the player etc., how does a club like Real Madrid manage to avoid breaking the FFP rules?

Is it purely down to TV revenue and big sponsorship deals?

Believable3 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - Real Madrid has a wage -related issue in respect of FFP this season as well.}

Thanks ed

ssn reporting that Liverpool have agreed a fee for Sergio Romero and they are discussing personal terms with his agent. Both parties are keen on the move but Romero wage demands are seemingly the only problem at the moment.

Good international class keeper that will allow good competition for Mignolet but just feel Liverpool are going for a cheap option rather than a goalkeeper that could give Mignolet real competition and take his place?

Maybe that's not what we need, who am I to say anyway.

Believable34 Unbelievable6

Yeah, I don't think he was needed tbh, we should just wait until jan or next summer and get a better keeper straight away

Agree0 Disagree2

I completely agree with you Blinkey, Romero is an amazing shot stopper like Mignolet but is as poor as Mig with the ball at his feet.

So let's say for instance, Mignolet doesn't something daft and gets himself sent off. Can we rely on Brad Jones against, say, Madrid in the Champions league?

i think he's a canny backup, with plenty of experience, and still relatively young in goalkeeping terms.
