Hi ed002

Ive been reading through the posts on Alario and I understand the issues as youve explained with him obtaining a permit etc and would likely make any purchase difficult along with his ownership but do we actually have interest or is it made up? He seems quite slow/ static lump of a forward and imo would make little sense us going for him?

Believable0 Unbelievable19

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any discussions with River Plate about Alario at this time but it would mean Liverpool having to pay way over the odds in transfer fee and wages in order for him to qualify for a work permit for a player Klipperty was interested in when at Dortmund. The starting point for any approach would need to be Italian lawyer Luca Vittorini. Ajax and Palermo have both declared an interest with his club and have both been told of the issues that exist and the difficulties in negotiation and, specifically, that River Plate are only a minor shareholder in his rights at this time. In January Inter used Alario as an example of a player they could "easily buy" whilst trying to negotiate for another player they did not have the money for. It was pointed out that his ownership is split between two clubs and third party investors as well. River Plate are looking to buy out the remainder that is owned by another club in the coming months - they don't wish to sell. A further complication is that another third party wishes to invest in the player - and this one is much closer to home. They would propose to leave the player in South America for another season before negotiating a move to Europe giving themselves what they hope is a very good profit - and that might suit River Plate. If Liverpool have the stomach to pay well over the odds something could probably be done.}

His Nationality is stated from Argentina and Italy so shouldn't that rule out Liverpool having to ridiculously overspend on him to gain a working permit, with him being of european heritage?

He does not have dual nationality and is only Argentine. His transfermarkt value (£4.13m) is also less than half the amount we are alleged to be negotiating to buy him for (£9.5m) so if it is true it is already way over the odds. I think the Alario link very unlikely to be true but you can never tell.

To me he looks worth 9-10 million in today's market.

Hi Eds,

Rumours circulating the tabloids about Liverpool tabling an offer for Higuain.

I am pretty sure you will say that no official offer has been made, but are we interested in him?

I can only assume that pursuing a striker, especially one that expensive, means that arrangements have been made for Benteke already.

Or is it all just balderdash?

Cheers in advance.

Believable0 Unbelievable23

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool has not sold Benteke and has not made any offer for or shown any interest in Higuain.}

Ed01 and ed02. Youve both oroduced lists and remarjs conxerning a number of players. For cb position- humnels and now martinez been linked are either possible? Sule youve both mentioned- I haven't seen much of him is he fast enough? Back to subotic- klopps tried and trusted? Also goalkeeper- if ter ategen is klipperttys top target but he chooses citeh do we go for hart? Or one of the others listed? Thanks for all the insight you show us absolutely addicted to the site! !

Believable0 Unbelievable18

{Ed002's Note - I am not sure which "Martinez" you are referring to but if it is Inago Martinez Liverpool has not shown any interest. The same is true of Hummels. I have explained before that Sule is the pick of the young German centre backs and that there are two clubs with serious interest in him. You have put a question mak at the end oif the brief statement about Subotic - but there is no question. I have never said that ter Stegen is Klipperty's "top" target, but it is certainly true that Manchetser City is interested in him. Joe Hart won't be moving to Liverpool.}

I think he was reffering to Javi Martinez ed as he was mentioned on the site earlier.

Agree0 Disagree20

{Ed002's Note - Thanks - Liverpool have zero interest in Javi Martinez.}

31 Mar 2016 13:39:28
Is Sule regarded as better than Johnathon Tah? He seems to be very highly thought of and also playing in the national team recently.

Agree0 Disagree17

{Ed002's Note - I don't suppose that anyone has considered who is "better".}

31 Mar 2016 14:38:58
Hi ed sorry yes it was javi martinez. Ok thanks for that ed.

Agree0 Disagree18

{Ed002's Note - The last couple of years have been a rough time for Martinez due to injuries.}

31 Mar 2016 18:57:18
No Ed, it's just you said Sule is the best of the young German centre halves so better than Tah. Wanted to know why you thought rhat.

Is it true is it true?

Balotelli's agent is in talks with Jiansu Suning in regards to a €15M per year move?

Or has there been any interest in him at all so far

Great news if it turned out to be true

Fingers and toes crossed.

Any news on this one Eds?

Agree0 Disagree16

{Ed002's Note - His agent is not in China nor having any direct discussions with any interested clubs although there have been enquiries from Turkey and from China - but there is no firm offer. His agent has been in Naples and Turin dealing with matters surrounding three other players and is coming to England to see three clubs about potential transfers.}

31 Mar 2016 13:51:47
Would Liverpool be on that list of 3 clubs?

Agree0 Disagree16

{Ed002's Note - No.}

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome.}

Got some new info from my source who used to work at the club.

*The following players have had their injury records 'extensively researched':
- Mario Götze
- Zielinski
- Jonas Hector
- Jetro Willems

*Klopp was previously having a look at Xhaka, but his interest has ended. To back up the post of another guy on here, he is now taking a look at Javi Martinez.

*He wants his main signings concluded before the Euros.

We may not necessarily approach the respective clubs of said players, but we have taken an interest in them.

I've seen the name Hector pop up alot, and I think one of the eds confirmed we had interest? (sorry if I am wrong)
Is he the Germany left back?
Has anybody seen him enough to give their view on his game?

Javi Martinez makes Mertesacker look rapid.

Yeah he's the German left back, he scored a goal against Italy too.

Dear Eds, I read today that Mkhitaryans contract runs out next year. Any idea if Liverpool have any interest in him?

Believable0 Unbelievable12

{Ed001's Note - we had interest in the past, and it is very likely he will move this summer, but I believe our interest is dead at the moment.}

31 Mar 2016 05:48:54
How the friggin hell have Dortmund let Micky get so close to being out of contract? That's risky on their part. Maybe it's the player who didn't want to enter into negotiations as he wanted to see what else was out there? Oozes finesse and scores a lot of goals from midfield easily a £30 million player if not more. Would walk into any team in the world I think, that's how highly I rate him. Gutted we missed the boat there. Then again Rogers would have played him at right back and destroyed the fella.

Agree3 Disagree12

{Ed001's Note - it is the agent more than the player.}

31 Mar 2016 05:59:22
same meat different gravy buttercup.

Agree0 Disagree12

{Ed001's Note - not really, players with those kind of agents do not tend to get involved other than to sign things after it has all been agreed.}

31 Mar 2016 06:16:58
Thanks for the insight buttercup I didn't realize some agents had that much jurisdiction and autonomy of their clients.

Agree1 Disagree12

{Ed001's Note - there are a lot of players that literally want nothing to do with any choices, they trust their agents to take care of it all. Personally I would suggest steering clear of any player who does so, as it shows that they are only considering earning money, rather than showing ambition to play for the teams best suited to bring them success.}

Skrtyls house is up for sale £880k. lfc also looking at Javi Martinez.

Believable8 Unbelievable11

31 Mar 2016 01:00:37
He would be the perfect player for hendo or can if its true.

Agree0 Disagree14

{Ed007's Note - What about the house?}

31 Mar 2016 04:43:42
Martinez has played 21 times in two years, lots of mileage in him still. At 27 needs to be playing regularly. Could be an astute signing. But we have Lucas to play the Defensive midfielder/ centre back position. Also we have Stewart. Surely we should spend the money elsewhere? I really don't see any legs to this rumour. But then again I believe in Santa and Essex is the cultural capital of the world so don't listen to me.

Agree0 Disagree11

{Ed001's Note - Martinez is injured constantly, hence the lack of matches.}

31 Mar 2016 05:39:51
Can't we just buy him to keep studger company on the treatment table buttercup?

Agree0 Disagree12

{Ed001's Note - I would love Javi Martinez, one of my favourite current players. If it was up to me, we would have bought him a couple of seasons before he went to Bayern. I can't see them letting him go when they have a shortage of centre backs, one is only there on loan. Guardiola has not built from the back there, letting the defensive options become extremely limited.}

31 Mar 2016 06:00:34
This is why I think Bayern will go for Sule and we or even Arsenal won't get him.
