id rather harry Wilson have a chance to cover that right hand side. if we are getting an extra attacking player (assuming we get fekir too) then id rather get a good centre forward to hopefully dovetail with Firmino. Then sell Ings and loan out Solanke.

Well if we’re getting one of Fekir or dembele then fair enough but both would definitely suggest Salah is on his way. I hope not but I wouldn’t be surprised, this feels like the same type of scenerio after the 13-14 season, just the buys are way better lol.

We know for a fact Klopp likes him and it does seem like Barcelona want to get rid so I don’t see why not, there is an obvious stumbling block with the price as I think Barcelona paid well over the odds for him in desperation last summer and they will want to recoup the majority if not all I’m guessing.

There is zero chance of us selling Salah one season into his contract, especially after the season he has just had!

We are building this summer, the only players to leave will be the ones klopp wants to let go.

So just sit back and enjoy the transfer window.

I personally think we need a wide player like dembele to add depth to the squad and an attacking mid like fekir. Here’s to hoping we sign both!

Can’t understand the thinking of Salah will go. Surely some fans are stuck in this rut of we are selling club. Kloop is building depth and quality so that we compete for titles

A) Barcelona have to pay us money let's just get that and not any substandard players that they don't and more importantly wont.
Dembele is good but weak in physical strength
Everyone knows they are in for Griezmann and will sell dembele and suarez to make it happen. they need a lot of selling to do for FFP.

B) dembele doesn't want to stay in Barcelona because of playtime he isn't getting, that won't be any different at LFC. don't see him starting before salah or mane.

C) He is too tantrum savvy. threw a major one at dortmund . now at barca. why do we want that?

That list is top notch except for Dembele, had a poor season at Barcelona but mainly due to injury. So that's expected but honestly I'm just too 50/ 50 about him. Yes he has potential but I'm not sure about his attitude to really hack it at the top level plus when I have seen him play, I haven't seen anything special. Honestly think if we are indeed looking to spend that kind of money, it could be used on someone else, I'm not sure who off the top of my head.

I smell a gk merry go round this summer now Chelsea have announced they are not discussing a new contract with their gk. If we are going for a new gk we better keep it snappy or we may end up seeing our rivals sign up the gk targets we really want to see at lfc.

Chelsea may be able to offer more money to buy the player thanks to mr abramovich but I would think we could match them on wages.
Chelsea have pull of being London based which can be a consideration for players, but can’t offer CL football.
I would hope there’s still a good chance of getting a player to choose us over Chelsea, especially given there’s a degree of uncertainty over Conte’s future.

It's not just about Chelsea. There's a sea change in the way we are being perceived in the footballing landscape. A complete turnaround. Just look at the caliber of the players that we are being linked with now (whether the links are true or not is meaningless here) . And compare it with 3-4 years ago when our highlight of the summer was trying to get a Clint Dempsey (with Hendo added in) . There's a clear and definite change in the way LFC is being seen as a prospective club to play for.

ArAr we've always been linked to big names, we just don't remember them cause nothing came off it. weather there is a chance of them signing is very relevant now. Luckily there definitely is more of a draw to play for Liverpool right now. Champions league football, the brand of football we play, klopp, and getting to 2 European finals I recent years will have helped.

Very injury prone and not exactly the youngest. He'd be around 50mil i guess (Contract till 2021, starter for Bayern when fit) so i can't see us going for him.

Hi Eds,

Just a quick question for ed001 if possible.

I was quite surprised to learn that Gareth Bale actually sat in the LFC changing room after the final before sitting with his own teammates. Something not everyone in the Madrid dressing room was happy about.

I was just curious if we had any interest in him? He has said privately and publicly he's not happy and would listen to interested teams. Wages and fee are an issue obviously but if Salah were to go to Madrid a cash plus bale offer might actually be good for both parties.

He still can't speak Spanish? He's been there five years, it took less time to teach a gorilla sign language (not exaggerating, literally took 4.5 years for Koko the gorilla to learn over half her vocabulary) .

{Ed001's Note - took less time for me ma and dad as well and they are in their 50s (well 60s now) and it takes much longer to learn as you get older. Believe me, teaching them anything new is far more difficult than any gorilla. I remember teaching me ma binary when I was in primary school and it was hard hard work!!Bale won't even do interviews in Spanish.}

My understanding is that he may know slightly more than the average Joe but that he by no means has some sort of inside information. Take it with a pinch of salt.
