When Jurgen arrived almost everyone billed this game as the yardstick. Mourinho v Klopp would be coming along at a seemly time to start judging our new management against "the Special One".
Well, let's call that job done as far as that particular test is concerned.
Liverpool, under Jurgen Klopp, are unbeaten so far and looking happier and more together than I can remember.

In a way this reminds me of LFC under Rafa but with a warmth that Benitez never encouraged.
Jurgen Klopp has got my heart working more normally. no longer do I dread set-pieces around our box and going a goal behind isn't game-over any more.
Skrtel and Moreno are still dodgy defensively but that isn't quite so important when we are controlling possession and encouraging sensible passing out of defence as opposed to over-passing at the back.

Going forward, we appear to be retaining possession better and regaining the ball more when we lose it.
Okay, our end-product needs to be more clinical but a fit Benteke will be invaluable in our forward play. He changed the focus of our attack when he came on today because he's brilliant at holding up play and winning the airial battles. Firminho, Coutinho, Milner, Lallana, Ibe, Texeira and Henderson should all be able to profit from a fit Benteke or Sturridge. And vice versa.

Almost every player has improved under Jurgen Klopp and his team and there is a definite togetherness which hasn't been in evidence for far too long.
I'm too old to be fooled by false dawns but I'm willing to bet that we are all watching the real deal under Klopp. The Liver Bird could be rising from the ashes but we have to accept that it's very early on in Jurgen's reign but I can't see Man Utd., Chelsea or Spurs finishing above us this season. Even Man City and Arsenal are vulnerable and both have to visit Anfield.

Let's turn on the enthusiasm and atmosphere at home (we were superb at Chelsea today) and get behind our team wholeheartedly.
I'm starting to seriously regret giving up my season-ticket last May but I hope my regret continues. I'm sure it will under Jurgen Klopp die Kopkonig (The Kop King)

I agree with most of what you say, but think we still look very dodgy at defending set pieces. I think we can all see progress and the potential and that's exciting!

On the point of looking happier I haven't seen the team celebrate like that in a while, I think changing room selfies is a bit over the too as it's just one win, but it's good to see them happy and look like it means more to them.

Seems a good pattern of team to field against the style Chelsea play at Stamford Brodge.

Seems to suggest we will sit a bit deeper, bog them down in midfield and go for fast quick breaks with substitutes able to reinforce that as the front players tire later in the game.

Klopp going with his preferred 4-2-3-1.

Every manager builds their team around 2-3 core players - I am firmly convinced now that Klopp will build his team around a spine of Firmino, Benteke and Lucas.

Absolutely agree. He looked sharp on Wednesday. Linked up really well with Firminio too.

Thanks everyone. My source has been given draft line-ups before, for example last week against Southampton. So I'm glad they left this draft unchanged, just for the sake of my rumour's credibility :D.
