Ed02 are these rumours about pastore true. {Ed002's Note - Time to look elsewhere. Talk to Lee - I am sure he will help you all out.}

03 May 2011 22:46:08
The first signing will be Sylvian Marveux and i havent even seen him play, Ed is he any good ?? {Ed001's Note - I am told he is, though I have only seen bits and pieces of him myself.}

Hi eds this is most prob very old news to you lot and i hope it isn't true, but i read that andre villas boas(spelling) has turned down the chance to take over at roma at the end of this season because he signed a pre-contract with liverpool in jan, this was quoted by kopsource from gazzetta dello sport. Please tell me this isn't true eds? King Kenny is the only man for the job in my eyes! {Ed001's Note - it is not true, no one has signed any kind of pre-contract to take over from Kenny.}

03 May 2011 23:00:53
Hey eds! Great site as always! Was just wondering if there is any truth that we are having talks with Palermo over pastore? And do you really think there is a chance that lukaku will join in the summer? Would be really happy if he did! Would appreciate an answer! Cheers mates! {Ed001's Note - I don't believe there is any truth in the Pastore rumours. I do think there is a chance Lukaku will join us, he seems to be the most likely striker to sign at this moment.}

It's not 100% at all mate because he has only recently in fact less than a week ago said how excited the future looks under Kenny, and i think he is loyal enough to know not to join another EPL Side.

Ashley young won't get near melwood next season never mind anfield unless he gets rid of agent.he is asking for far too much money and let's be honest what has he proven in football.he was good for a poor watford side and has been ok at best for villa.kk worried he is driven by money and not trophies
what do u think ed?
melwood mole {Ed001's Note - it does seem that the situation has changed since January, when he was set to sign. Now he knows teams are paying less for him, he seems to think that extra money should line his pocket.}

Summer ins

E. Banega.
S. Defour.
J. Mata.
S. Marvueax.
G. Clichy.
M. Sakho.
K. Benzema.

Rumours we've made enquiries on the likes of Lukaku, Cazorla, Hazard, Sanchez, Pastore and Kaka. Whether any of these come to fruition remains to be seen.

Both Mcgeady and Young are poor, I also wouldn't want Adam or Downing or Cahill with their over inflated price tags
Mcgeady and Young would cost 15 million, same with Downing and Cahill. Adam at 10 million is madness.

Banega would cost 12 million and the same with Defour (2 players with far more talent and potential).

British players are overpriced simple as that.

Ed what is the situation with Defour I heard he signed an extension with Liege but can't find anything regarding it on net. So does this mean we are still interested? {Ed001's Note - he has signed an extension following the breakdown of talks with Benfica. We have been keeping an eye on him and registered interest, but we have made no further moves since.}

03 May 2011 22:05:54
Just heard a rumour that Liverpool will have 80 million to spend in the summer and the main priorities are Gary cahill and Phil Jones. That's what I've heard, but I think that we won't have a budget but get as many players as the manager wants

03 May 2011 21:47:28
I'll save you trawling through the site and give you the list again Ed (obviously now you can ignore the "Liverpool fan" comment) cheers

03 May 2011 19:18:55
From my source today
Players in (amongst others)
Menez
Matuidi
Baines
Gago
Also the number one target is Lukaku (Liverpool fan) but if this deal cannot be done attention will shift to Bojan. If the Lukaku deal can be done expect Bojan next season

Chris in Tamworth {Ed001's Note - Matuidi is defo of interest, real serious interest and DC is trying to add him. Baines is a player the club like but Everton are not interested in selling him to us, they have other players to sell to raise cash, if need be. The other 3 are also of interest, Lukaku was mentioned by Ed002 a while back as a definite target. I asked around because he said that and people were surprised I mentioned him as it was supposed to be hush-hush. I have to give it to Ed002, he was the one who was the first to ever mention Marveaux as well!}

My dads best mate works at melwood in the canteen, and the day after torres announced he wanted to leave the club he went over to get some food and gerrard was also getting some food and torrs said hiya to gerrard and gerrard just looked at him and walked off, he didn't say a word to him.
Anyway on to rumours, the same guy who told my dad about the gerrard torres story came round tonight and i read out a story about Ashley Young and Karim Benzema and i asked him if he knew anything about it and he told me that carragher, maxi and a couple of the training staff were talking about transfer rumours they had seen in the newspapers and when Young was mentioned apparently one of the training staff said Kenny has asked villa how much and they said 20 million and kenny told one of them he is goin to offer a couple off million more than that, he also said that benzema is a definate target and it is looking incredibly likely that we will make a successful bid. Another one of the staff also said that he had been talking to kenny, and he is looking at a world class player that is unhappy but they didn't say it loudly enough for the guy my dad knows to hear.
I know loads of people make up stories, most people don't believe the stories and most people won't believe this one but it is 100% true.
He also told me that Kenny getting a contract has been discussed many times betwwen the players and all the players agree that he should be given one! :)

LFC's 'marquee' signings this summer will be Karim Benzema and Eden Hazard. .

03 May 2011 21:13:52
Also the number one target is Lukaku (Liverpool fan)

This the same Romelu Lukaku who is said to be a Chelsea fan ? {Ed001's Note - he is not a Liverpool or Chelsea fan, he denied being either in an interview, he did say his idol was Drogba and that is where the Chelsea fan rumours came from.}
- - - - - - - - - - - -
I apologise if Lukaku is not a Liverpool fan I thought I had read somewhere that he was, however I added that comment not my source so please don't disregard his list of players in. Maybe you, Ed, could give your assessment of my sources list

Chris in Tamworth {Ed001's Note - I haven't seen the original list do you have a timestamp and I will take a look for you mate.}

03 May 2011 21:26:27
Our Marquee signings in the summer . . . Hulk and Hazard.

03 May 2011 21:28:03
Hi Ed, why is it doubtful that Alonso will return if he is no longer first choice at RM? surely he would be welcomed back with open arms?

Also it has probably been mentioned before but we are not looking at Adam anyway and concentrating on a couple of midfielders in France, who are Sissoko (toulouse) and mvila (Rennes). Just passing what I have heard on. We have only approached the clubs so far and are working to agree a fee.

MacIntosh {Ed001's Note - because it is more likely that Diarra and Gago will be leaving than him.}

To blob re marquee signing hulk! its my understanding that spurs have tabled a bid for falcao and hulk for an undisclosed fee and roman pavlyuchenko that has already been accepted by the portugese outfit but due to it being a closed window there are no public details availiable. LFC ins though will be a left back but no decision has been made as to who due to one player being over priced and a second wanting champions league football, charlie adam, forlan, & either n'zogbia of mcgeady (sp) will sign, its also understood a top class centre half will come in.

03 May 2011 20:13:40
Liverpool Had scouts at Spurs, Villa+Blackpool a few weeks back . I Believe , Well have been told we was looking Vaguely at Lennon + Dawson + Young + Downing + Adam.

I can Also say We Have opened Negotiations with Palermo, but only "talking" , and its about Pastore although its not the 40 millions Euro's quoted , its 25 millions Euro's as they arn't exactly "well of" shall we say. There are tentative talks - but there are A few more clubs interested the usual suspects.

The Person i have got all this information of has got a lot of information right . Hes got right :

- Luis Suarez
- Andy Carroll
- Robbie keane
- Joe Cole
- And Kenny Dalglish - The KING!

- theres a list compiled by Kenny, Clarke&Comolli&FSG have an open Cheque book policy on certain players- CERTAIN!

LFC fans underestimate how determined FSG are! We'll bid for whoever Kenny wants, we'll make a major impact this summer!

Sanchez has been an option although it will be difficult , However hes NOT 1st Choice.

Also - Hazard agent is talking to a club , trying to sway a move . That is not us! - (Arsenal)

Remember the Name - Its Me YNWA!

03 May 2011 20:32:13
First offering ever on the LFC rumour site the present manager is defo interested in the Celtic left back from Honduras this is a sensible offering this could happen.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
The problem with Honda's is that they are always in the auctions and auctions always sell to the highest bidder

03 May 2011 18:06:27
Liverpool have a marquee signing in mind, by the name of Hulk. A bid will be made, but the result is still unsure. Other signings will be Payet (9 mill), Marveaux (free), and Baines (14 mill).

Liverpools marquee signing is going to be a package deal of 55 millinon. the players are Hulk, Falcao and mutinho

03 May 2011 16:54:52
From France:
Payet and Marveaux are both basically done, £8 million for Payet and Marveaux as all of you will know is for free. However, these 2 are not major signings, just cheap, skilful/ fast and young these are the types of players KD and FSG want to have in their squad rather than the likes of Maxi and Poulsen who have no potential for the future and don't offer any competition. These 2 will be announced on 1st of July or possibly even before after the season ends.(just squad additions, not first team signings) All because of Commoli.
This is going to be a long summer for you Reds.

According to kopsource, R Madrid has stolen a march on Sahin & Lavezzi wants Champions League football. So that's 2 off the list then. SingRed"

Sahin had his pick of clubs and was never likely to end up with us (though there is a hilarious "article" in the Daily Mail claiming Villa were pipped to him be Madrid). Lavezzi i'm not particularly bother about as he couldn't buy a performance in the Europa League and troubled the corner flag more than Pepe. He's got a good assist to game ratio but a poor goal scoring record considering the decline in Serie A, i can't see him breaking double figures for goals or assists if he does go to Madrid and considering they get rid of world class players for a trophy less season, i'd wager he'd be back in Serie A soon after.

Hi Ed,

Is there any truth about Hulk having a release clause of around £10 mil in his contract as is being reported in various news articles?

03 May 2011 16:37:25
Heard today kk may be days away from a deal, onto the playing side kenny debating between rolando and sakho.sakho 1st choice but rolando may cost half the money, imo sakho class for his age rolando is good but will never be classy too slow.no money to be spent on a full back unless a world class one becomes available, kk loves flanna's and robbo's attitude and didn't realise just how good kelly was.aint heard anything on the pastore rumours sorry but hope they are true.scouting ganso at the moment looks a great prospect but i think the mancs look fav.

Just heard a reliable rumour that Joey Barton has been asked by Dalglish if he has got a problem with Gerrard. Joey replied no but if Gerrard has a problem then he should ring him. Dalglish said he wants him for next season.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

03 May 2011 16:25:26
Hi eds,

I know this may sound like a strange one, but do you reckon we could make a move for Drogba? He is currently very unhappy since T****s moved and he thinks he has been treated unfairly. I know he is getting on a bit, but he still has un-doubted quality and would be an asset to any side. He would be great with Suarez and Carroll and would be abe to help develop the younger strikers at the club.

Post in rumours please.
Cheers lads, top site.

I know twitter isn't exactly the best sOurce but I follow a guy on it who tweets Pretty reasonable stuff. He has tweeted about Torres and Suarez and kenny in jan. So to get on to the news he posted today was that Liverpool have opened talks with Palermo over javier pastore. I know ye think it's not happening but this is what he posted. He writes blogs on the Anfield Index I think. He also said we are opening negotiations with real sociedad too and the owners mean real business and are willing to do anything for kenny to put us where we belong, as they have seen what he has done with and average squad. Shoot me or whatever ye want just thought I'd ask what ye thought or any other reds fans. Have you ed heard anything about us opening talks with them in the last 48 hours. He also has posted the young and downing rumour last week over a double deal.

@ Tommo

I understand your beliefs for Hulk and Sanchez to go to Man City; I concur with that mind set; Man City will be spending masses of money but Hulk is only interested in first team football; unlikely at City. Sanchez has been attracting loads of interest from European clubs; his most likely destination; to my knowledge is Inter Milan; they have been far from the chairmans expectations. They are looking at three big money signings to my knowledge. I believe Kun Aguero, Alexis Sanchez and Pastore are there main targets, over 100m of transfers as Leonardo is looking to reshape the squad from ageing players; Maicon, Milito, Eto'o and Zannetti; to name a few. Sniejder is well documented to be going to Manchester United; IMO 35-43m will be his fee and I expect the Glazers to splash the cash because of agreements with Rooney. I hope I have shed my information on Sanchez and some of the worlds top talent.

On the move this year from that spectrum will be Neymar, Sanchez, Aguero, Hazard(Possible), Lukuka(Possible 1 more year) and Pastore(If a team coughs up the reported 50m+). (IMO they will be big signings and combined together would be 200m between them at least; Pastore demanding the highest fee of the bunch.

The Next ;)

Last week I posted that we will more than likely bid around 7 million for forlan of madrid.I now also know that we could make a bid as high as 5 million for boltens korean winger Lee.I'm afraid people are more than a little ambitious when it comes to our possible transfers next season.its also true we are looking at wolves winger jarvis.however I can't give a figure of what we will offer as it will depend on if they get relegated or not.

Ok, been seaching around; talking to a friend who currently works for "The New York Times" I know it is in America but he is part of the sport section and aside from NFL Draft and Lock-outs they don't have much to talk about; also NBA just started but he does a piece on 'Soccer' and he reported about interesting transfer rumours and results; Interestingly he wrote about how an American star is premiership bound for next season and it is to a Club with American owners; the catch is he said it was Donovan leaving for Arsenal, which is also resulting in a mass exodus of Arsenal fringe and unworthy players. Strangely Arshavin was included and it shocked me at first but made sense. Would be a good buy IMO however another interesting revelation about Arsenal was Fabregas's nailed down move to Barca and Samir Nasri is requesting a move away from Arsenal.

Thought this was an intelligent post until I reread it. Your "contact" should know that the NBA did not just start, there are in fact into the conference semifinals as we speak. Anyone in america knows this. So I have to call bulls**t.

Hi all, my first post on here.

Im hearing a lot of news at the moment regarding transfers in and around the PL.

I can confirm that Alexis Sanchez and Hulk will be heading to Man City this summer. Man City will be offering Carlos Tevez a pay rise, but is still expected to leave. Also, Adam Johnson is unhappy that Roberto Mancini is picking the names that he likes, and he has handed in a TR to the board. This has alerted Kenny who is a big fan of Johnson.

Eden Hazard was all set to join Arsenal but something has happened to have his head turned in another direction. An offer is still on the table from Arsenal but he is as not as interested as he was a couple of months ago. Real have also put a bid in. DC has been in Northern France a lot over the past month, trying to convince Hazard to join us as he is a big fan. Arsenal will be losing Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas this summer as they both want out.

Ashley Young has been of interest to Kenny ever since he arrived as manager again. We bid 15m on deadline day in Jan, and things just picked up from there. We are also very interested in Stewart Downing.

Kenny and DC are considering to make a bid for Karim Benzema, who is out of favour at Real Madrid and wants to leave. Xabi Alonso and Alvaro Arbeloa have talked to him and said that LFC would be a great place for him to move to.

Gary Cahill has been sounded out and his agent has been at Anfield for talks. Jose Enrique has been of interest since Mid February, and he has also been sounded out. Leighton Baines and Gael Clichy are other options.

Also, Charlie Adam is nailed on for a move, was told he would be sold in the summer on deadline day, where Karl Oyston wouldn't pick up any calls from us. He and Ian Holloway knew he was detrimental if they were to stay up. He only wants to join LFC.

Cheers,

Tommo

Well, may be we are following him and you didn't know yet?

{Ed002's Note - Like Sanchez and Neymar you mean?}

I don't know what is your source of info. . but i think we are following him very closely ( Coentaro for 20m it is realistic, Neymar & Sanchez is not realistic beacuse there are much more quality available for decent prices)). end of the story

Cheeers
YNWA

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool have shown no interest in Coentrao and following a breakdown of talks with Bayern Munich and no follow up from Manchester United, Benfica are back talking to Real Madrid.}

03 May 2011 14:26:17
{Ed002's Note - Why are you going on about price - it is nothing to do with price at all.}

yeah , yeah, but unlike Neymar & Sanchez Coentrao said he would love to join us. that's my point . But You are saying he is an unrealsitic target like Neymar & Sanchez .

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool have shown no interest in Coentrao and following a breakdown of talks with Bayern Munich and no follow up from Manchester United, Benfica are back talking to Real Madrid.}

03 May 2011 14:20:32
{Ed002's Note - Like Sanchez and Neymar you mean?}

Nop. Unlike Neymar & Sanchez his price will be around 18-25m pounds + Coentrao has admitted he will like to join us, we can guarantee him first team football. i think that's not too much to spend @ a position we have been awfull for recent years.
Your are acting like he is an unrealistic target like Neymar & Sanhcez ( over priced ) . Thats not the way its.

{Ed002's Note - Why are you going on about price - it is nothing to do with price at all.}

03 May 2011 14:12:39
{Ed002's Note - Interest in Coentrao has been shown by Manchester United, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Chelsea, Bayern Munich (waning), AC Milan (Waning). Player may even stay at Benfica. Benfica have now started discussions with Real Madrid. Liverpool are not in the loop at all.}

Well, may be we are following him and you didn't know yet?

{Ed002's Note - Like Sanchez and Neymar you mean?}

03 May 2011 14:11:11
Hi Ed will liverpool be signing Benzema {Ed002's Note - Personally I think it unlikely.}

03 May 2011 13:54:13
Ed: You are saying againg & again we have very little or no chance of signing Fabio Coentrao ! WHY ????

If you are thinking we cannot afford him, i am afraid you are getting it wrong.

{Ed002's Note - Interest in Coentrao has been shown by Manchester United, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Chelsea, Bayern Munich (waning), AC Milan (Waning). Player may even stay at Benfica. Benfica have now started discussions with Real Madrid. Liverpool are not in the loop at all.}

Surely these 3 players and fringe players leaving will leave Arsenal struggling for 4th next season; especially if Wenger doesn't spend on a CB, GK and Goal Scorer. (Another interesting point was his article on Wenger leaving this year and taking over for Mourinho; personally I believe it is lazy journalism but he is usually a very good sports reporter.)

I have been told that Downing is top target for the leftside. Villa are not happy that they will lose Young and Downing is keen to make the move which has really caused some unrest. Downing is my odds on bet to join

Clichy a definate, Dalglish to sign 3 or 5 year deal in the summer.
Pepe now wants to stay. He had pencilled a deal to join a spanish club before Kenny arrived which he now wants to back out of due to our upturn in form.

What's with all this demand of Alexis Sanchez? Yes he is very quick and the ball sticks to his feet like glue. But seriously people are saying he's the next C.Ronaldo?! He has no final outlet, whether that be a cross or a shot. You get so much time and space in Serie A yet he isn't exactly lighting it up! Aaron Lennon with his pace could do just as good in that league. I'm sure he's good but no world beater.

We wouldn't have a chance of signing him anyway, but he's deffo over-hyped. I doubt United would pay that much for him so I reckon he'll be tempted by City's CL & wages. That would leave a gate wide open for us to snatch Adam Johnson!

Stone YNWA.

I know Connor Wickhams cousin, lives in Ballynahinch here in Northern Ireland. Wickham is a Reds fan but won't be joining the club as he feels he would be limited to a subs role as the main choice attackers at Liverpool are relatively young. Sounds fair enough to me. Expect him to stay with Ipswich for another year

I know it said a lot but it does seem to be gathering pace around the club -Alonso has been told by RM he will not be first choice next season and has been sounded out about a return.

Hi ed do you think there is a chance of chiek tiote comming in ? ano he has signed a new deal with newcastle buh still could happen and what do u rate him out of 10 ?

same with conor wickham please he signed new deal with ipswitch buh i personally think because that will boost his fee as he would like ipswitch to get a good deal for there part in his development again could you please rate him out of 10 ? {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any interest in Tiote as I said earlier. As for Wickham we do know there has been interest from Spurs and Liverpool. Perhaps a 4.}

Williain of Shahktar? We'd be better of with William Shatner. He's not a premier league quality player. Payet is the man we need

Hi ED. it looks like Aiden McGeady's time in Russia won't be lasting too long as his club Spartak Moscow are battling at bottom of table.
I know Kenny is a big admirer of his and i don't think ther is too much between Aiden and Ashley Young but i believe Aiden would not cost as much. What do you think?

(irishred) {Ed002's Note - I am personally not convinced by the player but he has been linked with Liverpool in the past - so possible.}

Hi all

its saying on caughtoffside that we have completed the signing of Sylvain Marveaux is this true or are they talking carp also is baines a reds fan and is there any truth in ribery coming

lfcmike {Ed002's Note - The signing cannot be completed until the registration is transferred in about a month or so. I understand Baines supports Liverpool. Ribery seems unlikely.}

Ed what do you think the chances of us signing Ashley Young and Stewart Downing are? {Ed002's Note - Possible.}

Hi Eds,
Have you heard anything about KK going back to his old club, Celtic, for left back Emilio Izaguire. The 24 year o;d Honduran fits the profile for transfers and was recently voted Scottish PFA player of the year. {Ed002's Note - It has been rumoured in the past so is one plausible option. Phil Thompson of course tells us that Enrique from Newcastle is a "done deal".}

If it is true that Liverpool are going to make a ''marquee'' signing, could we be interested in Tevez. The reported 30M to Inter is a bargain.

Morning Ed(s) any idea if we have been looking at the talented and hard working Slovenian striker Etien Velikonja?

Chris in Tamworth {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any interest Chris.}

A slightly different question for the eds here. Has there been any information regarding the numerous players we have out on loan and if Kenny is looking at bringing some back and in and around the first team? It would be good to see the some players come through and be regular squad players, therefore adding some credance to the loan system, or the players when told they are going out on loan may infer that their time at the club is at an end. Do we know how Mavinga is doing at PSG? I know he is highly rated and if he has had a good season then again it adds weight to us not requiring an expensive left back, the likes of him, robinson, aurelio if still there could cover, as could wilson but also we could get someone like warnock in as experienced cover who would run through brick walls for the club and could play when the younger players need a break. The likes of Ayala, Amoo, Eccleston and definately Pacheco should be given a fair chance during pre season to impress as all will have benefited from playing regularly. Also, has Darby shown any progress as again, another player who would happily be a squad player for Liverpool and could potentially free up resources to be spent in more pressing areas such as the wing. I appreciate the likes of Insua and Konchesky are likely to leave but many others on loan should be considered or what's the point, other than reducing the wage bill which for many of the young players will be relatively low anyway? I presume each player is monitored through the season for progress during their loan, but a full pre season could mean some of these players won't be ruled out.

{Ed002's Note - I don't know of anything firm at all but the club will have the players watched regularly and have constant updates. Some players are not out on loan to get experience but to get in the shop window. It seems to me that Pacheco's days are over at Liverpool, and probably Amoo too.}

Hey eds ! ! What are the chances/ or has there been any interest in Rafael Carioca? If for in example we fail to get M'vila, I think Carioca can be a great alternative. Have not seen much of him I must admit, but he caught my eye the couple of chancses that I've seen him play.

Cease {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any interest at all.}
