Hi Eds.

I've seen Spurs being linked with a January move for Tom Ince for £4m. Are we still interested or have we given up on him? {Ed002's Note - I am not aware of interest at this time.}

Hey eds
Liverpool r doing well and if we stay at the top by the winter why would suarez want to leave?
What is the likelihood of him leaving {Ed002's Note - He has spent the last few months doing everything he can to leave. He doesn't want to be at the club and was happy to go to Arsenal. He will leave when a club makes an offer the club deems acceptable - his representatives continue to sound out clubs but I suspect that Real Madrid remains the most likely destination.}

Believable2 Unbelievable37

Yh I expect him to leave too but I have to say £45m is no where near enough we sold torres for £50m and bale went for £86m I think offers over £60m is acceptable or £40m+benzema/alonso to be quite honest! {Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with Torres or Bale.}

Agree1 Disagree1

Why Alonso? Should be looking to the future not trying to go back to the past. Move on for christ sake.

Agree1 Disagree0

Who in their right mind would pay over £60m for a player who gets himself suspended for ten or more games every season?

Agree0 Disagree2

Well Dalglish I hope we can capitalize on the fact that they need a striker badly atm with Benzema out of form and out of favor with the Real Madrid fans Suarez is their only option besides Falcao so we hold all the cards and he's definitely cheaper then getting Falcao. I don't understand why anyone is surprised Suarez still wants to leave if he wanted to leave in the summer its not going to change in jan he'll obviously want to play so he's going to say he's "happy" for now but when jan roles by don't be surprised when he starts up his old ways. Ed out of curiosity have the club made any enquiries for players that could potentially replace Suarez? I don't mind him leaving as long as the club is well positioned for it I really hope we don't ride our luck on him staying cause that would be very unwise. {Ed002's Note - I am sure there has been plenty of discussion at the club and certainly they will be looking to assurances from Coutinho that he will stay. If Liverpool were to sell Suarez in January (noting that Gonzalo Castro has said that Suarez has told him that he will win the Champions League with Real Madrid this season), it would not be out of the question to see interest in Yarmolenko followed up. The concern with the player is the knowledge that the offer from Zenit that was rejected in the summer was more than double the sort of figure that Liverpool suggested to his agent. Personally, my view is that the club screwed up by not selling him in the summer and then replacing him with Arda Turan - who would have welcomed the move. There will be more information as time moves on.}

Agree0 Disagree2

Hmm thanks ed I agree with you Turan would have been a good choice but we didn't go for it perhaps Rodgers doesn't think he suits the mold but time will tell I suppose. Suarez comments don't surprise me tbh shows what kind of person he is already wearing the Madrid shirt before he's even had the move quite disappointing you'd expect a player to have some sort of respect but I guess with all the money they make its bound to go to some of their heads.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we should just buy a quality striker in January and see if we can hold on to Suarez till the end of the season.best of both worlds, we do our business, we don't look desperate and don't have a glut of money (from the sale) that any club will obviously demand nearly all of and the player we get in will be clear he is going to be number 1 once Suarez leaves and he has time to bed in. Perrrrfec

Agree1 Disagree0

Just as I doubted his departure in the summer, I doubt he will leave in jan especially if we`re doing well. But if a good offer comes, then he`ll go. I do think selling him in mid season will be a huge mistake.

Agree0 Disagree0

You are off the mark once again Ed.
Suarez never said he doesn't want to be at the club. He said he wants to play for a CL club. In case we will be in the CL next year I don't see why he would want to leave.
Of course except if RM or Barcelona comes knocking.
So the assessment of the OP is correct. If we are doing well for the CL spot then I don't think he would want to leave that easily, as he wanted in the summer. {Ed002's Note - You are aware he has his representatives trolling around clubs offering him for January don't you. I am aware of four clubs who have been approached - perhaps there are more.}

Agree0 Disagree1

I don't care when he leaves.

Just as long as the club get a good price for him.

And the constant benchmarking to Bale is stupid.

If you want to play that game, then if Ozil is worth 42m, then why is Suarez worth more than 25 or 30m?

Agree0 Disagree0

Suarez is better than ozil you clown. Have you ever seen him play for uraguay he makes cavani look like rubbish and he is supposedly one of the best stikers

Agree1 Disagree0

Suarez's value is entirely subjective, but a thought for me is that neither PSG nor Monaco judged him to be a player worth going for over Cavani or Falcao which I think speaks volumes as to what other clubs rate him at. Frankly, for me, I still think we should have negotiated the Arsenal offer and went for Turan and another quality player with the cash. I think Suarez would have done less for them than Oezil will, unfortunately.

Ed - agents talk to clubs all the time. This is nothin new and doesn't mean Suarez has told them to. Do you think Suarez is in control of his agent? I subjectively guess no. Suarez wants to win, can we win something? I hope so

Agree0 Disagree0

Well, to be fair Ed/s, Suarez didn't do everything, he didn't put in a transfer request! {Ed002's Note - Right - that is because he still wants to get a couple of million pounds out of Liverpool as well. he has his representatives talking with other clubs, he has Gonzalo Castro speaking for him, and now he is using Edison Cavani as a conduit to the outside world again.}

Agree0 Disagree0

"Suarez is better than ozil you clown. Have you ever seen him play for uraguay he makes cavani look like rubbish and he is supposedly one of the best stikers"

Why on earth should I care how he plays for Uruguay? Is this the "Uruguay Rumours" page?

And I couldn't care less how he looks compared with Cavani.

Hopefully we can sell this mercenary for pile of cash in January.

Agree1 Disagree1

What's the situation with Luis muriel I think we will sign a striker and winger from the suarez money myself {Ed002's Note - There was plenty of interest in Luis Muriel over the summer but none from Liverpool. Muriel he has signed a new long term contract at Udinese, there is still interest from Atletico Madrid, Juventus and AC Milan. His focus is on getting in to the Columbian side for the World Cup and then perhaps he will see what offers are on the table next summer I would think.}

Sorry to start the Suarez saga so early on but I'm sure he will still leave either January or end of the season and the club have probably given consent s I'm guessing a new contract would stipulate the clause he wanted and thought he had as this would be the only reason to enter in to negotiations as he only signed a new one last season.

My question is would we go for benteke and how realistic do you think are chances are of landing him? He too signed a new contract and I'm sure a similar clause was inserted at his request. He represents a proven PL goal machine that is young enough to fit the FSG model and I'm sure we could get him for 30 mill.

The other question eds is do you think the club have learned from recent transfer debacles (William being most obvious) and the club will be move quicker for players and there will be less indication/speculation of targets. Do u think there were bollokings handed out last time as we know BR wasn't happy losing William (possibly dodged a bullet there) and mikey?

Sorry it's a long one but thought I would get it in before it gets mental on here. Cheers for Your work

Daniellambretta {Ed002's Note - Suarez has not signed a new contract this season. I have explained that Suarez's representatives have recently approached clubs (four to my knowledge) about him and he still wishes to leave. Benteke was enquired about before - I have no feeling if it would happen again. Willian was not a "debacle", it was simply a player that did not sign. There was a clear expectation over the summer that Real Madrid would return with a much better offer giving Liverpool the money to help reshape the team - it didn't happen then.}

Believable2 Unbelievable16

Personally I can only see benteke going to arsenal if he moves at all?

Agree0 Disagree3

Eds I beg to differ, Willian was publicly as good as a done deal but we messed up. Sure the player may have had his head turned and his agent was touting him but I think our approach allowed spurs and then Chelsea to hijack the deal.
My question was do you think a lesson has been learned about negotiating, paying certain prices that are being asked and not trying to renegotiate, approaching players and sorting deals out with them before agreeing prices etc etc. Daniel Levy is amazing at this and spurs get so much better deals done than us. Is this because of Ayre or FSG or something other? {Ed002's Note - Some players sign and some players don't - just suck it up and move on. There are no lessons to learn about it. If Liverpool had all their business completed on day one then the posters would spend the rest of the window grizzling about the lack of investment. Whatever happens I am pretty sure the Liverpool posters will whine about something. The team has played well since the turn of the year, are doing well in the league, but still there is constant bitching about the players, the team selection, everything.}

Hello eds my cousin was with sterling's mate and brother he was saying sterling told Rogers he wants to play more if not he wants a loan in January just letting you know in case yous don't have a good night hunt10lfc4life

Believable6 Unbelievable24

Don't know about going on loan he should go permanently! never takes a man on, gives the ball away all the time and to be honest I can't see him developing any further we need to cash in while we can, he's stagnated I'm afraid. I know I'm going to get clobbered for this point of view all those saying give him a chance he's only young yadayada time will tell I s'pose
