Good Afternoon Redmen,

Hope all is well and that you are looking forward to the international break as much as I am. (Yawn) .

4 wins from 4, can't really complain, but I have to say we did not play well. The game seemed to completely bypass our midfield. We either played it back to Allison or long to the forward players.
I think Wijnaldum fell into a black hole in the 26th minute when he played that under-hit pass because from that moment on I didn't see him, has anyone checked if he is ok?!

In all seriousness Leicester is a difficult place to go and so to walk away from there with 3 points speaks volumes.

Enough of my ramblings, time for the loan update.

Southampton have a new striker who is setting the league on fire! 2 goals now in 3 starts for Danny Ings who scored the games opener as Saints beat Crystal Palace 2-0.
There is a history of Liverpool taking Southamptons best players and if Ings carries on like this we might not let them keep him :)

Ejaria scored his second goal for Rangers on Thursday night and this time it was a screamer.
Rangers only needed a draw to see them reach the Europa League group stages for the first time in a decade but Ejaria's early strike set them on the path for victory.
It was not a straight forward game for Gerrards boys though who were pegged back and reduced to 9 men in the second half!
However they clang on for a famous draw and can now look forward to competing in Europe this season.
Ejaria also played the full 90 against Celtic at the weekend and put in a good shift, unfortunately they were on the wrong side of a 1-0 defeat.

Ejaria has stolen all the headlines up North but Ryan Kent also played the full 90 in both games and put in good shifts, particularly against FC Ufa.

For those that missed it Sheyi Ojo moved to Stade de Reims on Thursday night and 48 hours he was thrown straight into action.
Ojo came on for the final 15 as Reims lost 1-0 to Montpellier.

Besiktas saw the best and the worst of Karius at the weekend as he made his first start for the club.
The first half saw Karius pull off a string of fine saves including a 1v1 to keep his team ahead at the break.
However with 5 minutes left in the game Karius completely misread a pass leaving him in no mans land allowing Bursapor to equalise. The game finished 1-1.

Grujic made his first start for Hertha Berlin and put in a mixed performance. Strong on the ball and good in the air Grujic dominated the centre of the park. However the young serb was sloppy in possession and also gave away a penalty.
Fortunately for him the penalty was saved and Hertha went on to win the game 2-0.

Awoniyi is finding life in the upper tiers of Football much more difficult as his struggles infront of goal at Gent continue.
After an ineffective hour against Bordeaux in the Europa league last week Awoniyi was subbed off with his team going on to lose 2-0 and be eliminated from the competition.
The young man was then left out of the squad completely for the weekend game against Cercle Brugge. With no suggestions he was injury it looks like he was dropped purely due to his bad form.

Randall made his debut for Rochdale in the league cup but was subbed after 60 minutes due to injury as they went on to lose 2-1 to Boro.
The injury meant Randall missed the weekends action.

The ever present Herbbie Kane played the full 90 for Doncaster as they drew 1-1 with Peterborough at the weekend.

And finally Adam Bogdan put in a good performance as Hibs lost 2-1 to Livingstone. There was little he could do about either goals and he was one of the few Hibs players who could leave the field with his head held high.

Whelan and Wilson are both still injured.

And that's your lot.

Very happy for Danny Ings. I only wish it would have worked out for him at LFC. I'm a big fan.

Danny Ings is far better than Origi, solanke and at the moment I’d have him ahead of sturridge based on his last few seasons. A fully fit sturridge is a different matter, wish Ings all the best and hopefully he gets his career back on track as his injuries haven’t helped his time with us.

Thanks Carra, nice update. The young reds seem to be struggling a bit apart from Ings and Ejaria.
👍.

I’ve watched a couple of rangers games and Ejaria does actually stand out as one of the best players in the rangers team.

I like Ingsy a lot too and it's nice to see him get starts. I've watched a bit of him and you can literally see the Liverpool in that goal as well as his all-round play.
Remind me Ed is the fee already agreed and can't be changed? 20 mil or sth like that is it? If he bangs in 20 for Southampton this season they'll be happy they got a bargain.
It's actually kinda nice to give something back to the club that gave us Virgil, Sadio, and, uhm, the rest. :)

{Ed002's Note - The fee has been agreed already.}

Hi Faith,

Allan is currently with Eintracht Frankfurt but was left out of the squad at the weekend.

I just realised I also forgot to mention that Woodburn was an unused sub at the weekend as was Shamal George.

Arroyo was not in the Gent match day squad but this is understandable as he only made the move late last week.

Great update as usual.

I particularly like the fact that you've developed a catchphrase - 'And that's your lot'

:-)
