What's the latest on leandro Damiao eds? Any interest from Liverpool since BR took over? Jamie {Ed002's Note - No interest from Liverpool right now.}

No chance. inter, juve, ac, spurs, psg and a couple of russian clubs are looking to make a move

Any interest from Liverpool in any of the Brazil Olympic squad?

Damiao is overhyped and overpriced -
he might have scored 2 yesterday but he also missed a hatload. The only only young Brazilians worth looking at (Lucas Moura and Oscar) have either signed for other clubs or are way out of our price range.
LFCBrasil {Ed023's Note - So he scored 2 and missed a few and he's overrated? Is Suarez overrated? He missed a fair few last season}

Liverpool considering using Spurs interest in "homesick" Raheem Sterling, as potential deal breaker for the signing of Steven Caulker. Liverpool will demand cash plus the young centre back for one of the most exciting talents in the country.

Monroe

Where on earth did you think that one up?
Homesick after 3 years?

Sterling is not homesick its all rumours as sterling has insisted he is looking forward to working under BR as BR has informed him he will get more playing time this season

Why do people feel the need to post garbage like this? You can have no possibe way of knowing the three variables you postulate! Why do you feel the need to promote negativity when everything that has come out of the kid's mouth in pre-season has been positive and added to his increase in mins on the pitch Im sure he's a very content young man at the minute.

Ciario

We would be a laughing stock if we sold Raheem to Spurs!
Skurks

This is untrue. Raheem Sterlings family have moved upto Liverpool and he is a lot more settled now.

Right ur clever that way we still in a loss

Hasn't Caulker just signed a new contract?

Is this marilyn monroe, raheem is staying.

Haha, what rubbish. The best prospect since Owen to be swapped for a mediocre defender, go easy lad, go back to bed and get some rest.

We want a new CB so clearly you know either Agger or Skrtel are leaving?

To say sterling could go is mad enough, but saying caulker is a good player?!

Sterling is worth at least 12 million, going by what Arsenal paid for Walcott.

Rumour probably posted seconds after a decent block by caulker in the olympics hmmm!

But isnt sterling one of the countries brightest prospects,what a joke

Right this would be one of the worst bit of transfer dealings of the decade if it happened...we have been foolish enough in previous windows but this would just take the biscuit...sterling is one of the most exciting talent to come through the ranks in years why would we sell him when he is about to peak..we have a wide array of defensive talent to sell our best attacking one would represent a day of pure lunacy on our behalf...cant see this happening...slow window for everyone but this is just the pits

Not sure if anyones heard but Mike Marsh has apparently been offered first team coach s role at the reds,contracts have yet to be signed but all in hand, may not have noticed he was on the bench in belarus recently
ScouserJohnny

Mikes gonna stay with the Academy for now. hes learning from the best.

Hopefully true. It would be great to see the club promote from within once again.

Marshy deffo promoted 2 1st team coach no inside info but iv a decent source who has name . . Andys pony tail

Would rather Borrell be promoted, then Marsh into his position

Callejon has scored 6 goals in 7 friendly games. Is he available ed? How much is he likely to cost or is it more likely that he is in the loan market?

Thanks

BthekingB {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any serious interest in Callejon although a number of clubs have apparently enquired as to his availability. I don't see him being made available.}

Callejon is available on loan for 12 months. Madrid wont sell him but will loan him to a team who will play him in at least 50% of games. Mourinho wants him to play in prem for a season to toughen him up. Possibility.

I dont have great sources I'll openly admit that and dont want to sound stupid but I have heard that there's going to be Allen signed Monday, Adam for Dempsey and 3 million.. plus we are apparently in negotiations with 2 top players, one of which will be our major loan singing,.. (who knows who) back to what I exactly think... I reckon Ramirez will sign for us for about 19.5 million which personally i think it'd be a great deal.. ED002 what do you think mate? thanks.

Don {Ed002's Note - All seems plausible.}

A £20million signing of Ramirez would depend entirely on selling Carroll or 2 or 3 other squad members.

Unless that figure is in euros for Ramirez then that want be happening. Liverpool will be looking for a deal for £16 mill max.

Ramirez is rubbish.

I know your source, your source is www.liverpool-rumours.co.uk

Pretty much what you said has been send a million times in the last month on here.

Ramirez asing price is £16.5m if u say Euro 19.5 then it's ok.

Finally someone who is honest and says he doesn't have great sources thank you

eds do u know if any official bids or enquiry have been made this transfer window

I was just wondering if you have heard anymore about kaka coming on loan, I know it's unlikely but if we could pull it off it would be amazing, because he is sitting on the bench most of the time at Madrid and he is an excellent footballer that would bring extra depth to our midfield. {Ed002's Note - No, sorry.}

He's not been the same since he left AC Milan.

Rob

Hope we don't get him,past it now and would want a lot of money.

I think Kaka is more interested in going back to Italy.

Hi eds, apprceciate all the work you do. Is Nuri Sahin available as some papers have reported or is this not true? If so would liverpool not be interested? I know we are looking at Allen but Sahin is a player of very high quality and is also young too.

Thanks eds.

Puzzled red {Ed002's Note - Sahin is available - there is no question of that. I don't know of Liverpool interest and there has to be a practical limit to the number of central midfield player the squad can handle. I doubt a move to Liverpool beckons.}

For Sahin to come in, someone from CMF must go. Could it be Adam and Aquilani? {Ed002's Note - Aquilani has not effectively been at Liverpool since August 2010 - he hardly needs replacing.}

There is room. Just need to ship sub-standard players: Adam, Spearing, Aquilani (gone)

I agree that there has to be a limit but if he is better then what we have currently (which he is) excluding lucas and gerrard then surely the lesser players must be moved on? This is the only way to improve a side {Ed002's Note - Using what for money?}

Arsenal are intersted

Lmao Ed 02, what do u mean "Using What for Money". Are you openly saying that LFC dont have 15-25M to spend on Sahin which is where his price lies?!?!?!?. As the previous posts have said, all it needs is shifting tortoises like Adam and Spearing and since Aquilani has left, we will have three slots available
Gerrard, Lucas, Henderson, Allen, Sahin and Shelvey is an awesome midfield.
You do know that Allen can also play in Lucas's CDM position and so can Sahin but Allen would be better. Remember that the key to success is good squad rotation. As much as many LFC fans might hate Benitez's Rotation Policy, it was what brought LFC within touching distance of the EPL title when we had finished 2nd. He played with the formation he thought was best for the current match.
Long story short, please stop this crap about there wont be space, it can be made by offloading 2-3 players. And ED 02, no offence but ur remark sounds like as if LFC have not even 25M to spend which i very much think they do.... {Ed002's Note - Actually it was related to the concept of moving on all of the lesser players and replacing them with better players. Aquilani has not been at Liverpool since August 2010 so he is hardly someone who needs replacing. Sahin will not be making a permanent move to Liverpool - you are living in some bizarre fantasy world if you think Liverpool will be spending £15M to £25M on Sahin I am afraid. I am guessing that you are alo of the opinion that the owners have endless pots of money to spend on transfers.}

Jose Mourinho will not stop any potential loan move for Nuri Sahin from Real Madrid to Arsenal “ from The Guardian.

Typical delusional fan. Moving from real Madrid to Liverpool? Ha! You guys hardly make the Europa league, what makes you think he would even want to go there

Ed or anybody know if we would be interested in Dede of Vasco De Gama if Agger or Skrtel were to leave hes a great player who can bring the out from defense can see him being as good as Thiago Silva thanks BelfastRed {Ed002's Note - Inter Milan, Real Madrid, Fiorentina, Benfica and Roma have shown an interest in Dede over the past couple of years but AC Milan, Juventus, Manchester United and Bayern Munich retain a serious interest in the player. Anzhi may look to make a bid in the summer but would prefer to wait until the end of the season in December.}

Thanks ed appreciate your answer BelfastRed

ed, do you think affelay and/or callejon could be potential loan signings?
MW {Ed052's Note - Affelay might be - Callejon I doubt}

{Ed019's Note - Watch my video promo to the new season here - youtu.be/D5C1x5KBoR4 , don't be afraid to give me feedback. Thanks all.}

Ed002, do you think pedro or isco are possible loan signings? {Ed002's Note - No I don't think so.}

04 Aug 2012 15:52:43
I drink in a bar in Boston that's popular with some of the RedSox management and I overheard them mention Liverpool and an agent from Argentina. I thought I heard Tevez name mentioned? I asked them to clarify and they gave me the silent treatment. Sounds like I stumbled across something? {Ed052's Note - I love these types of rumours - you just wish them to be true.}

Next time...everybody stay at bar...24/7...u can get alot of "genuine" story there....

-warhead

You DON'T drink in a bar and you DIDN'T hear a tall story being told!!
W-h-o-p-p-a!!!
Leftfieldy :)

Ed052's. These are the rumours we want. Much better than people asking you who we want to sign. That was what this site was set up for. More of these please.
warr68

Kia Jobrachin isn't Argentine, so puts that one to bed

That will be the Cheers Bar then - the one where everybody knows your name and who we're signing

Red Sox management wouldn't be interested in Liverpool, just the FSG top dogs and the whole Liverpool department.

Bingo! these are the rumours we want. its a realistic option, city cheifs still want rid of him, no one wants to buy him because hes a rebel and he would fit BRs stile of play. this could be are exciting loan deal! only the powers that be really know. so people can give this guy crap if they want, but they dont know anything anyway. E.P.G.

How much did you drink?

Its sad an they need help

I'm in Boston tomorrow, which bar? I'll sneak over and earwig too... L19 Red

I was in a pub in Dublin and I heard some ex-Liverpool players mentioning Guinness. Paddy Mc has played at Wembley. You heard it here first unless you were in the pub last night.

Just this last half hour been told BR has identified Alvaro Pereira of Porto as his prefered LWB, instead of Juan Vargas.

Great Signing i think. You heard it here first ppl {Ed052's Note - You haven't left a name...}

I didn't hear it first, it was posted on the ssn website about an hour ago as a Liverpool related story that he was angling for a move, you've just edited the story and posted it as your own

I heard it here first if thats any good.

No i never saw that. I have only repeated what i have been told. And i dont believe the person who told me this has repeated the apparent article regarding Pereira.
Carlito-Red (there u go ed)

I never heard it from you first! try the search function

Yeah twitter told you. heard it here first haha. rumours have been all over twitter all morning. very reliable source you have ;-)

Liverpool can't pay for vargas hw are they gna pay 20m for periera

Just heard a rumour. Man city offering Micah Richards plus 6.8mil for Agger.

Poisonz {Ed052's Note - Let it be true!!}

Let it be true??

DaveyBootle

I really like Agger as a player and rate him very highly, but I agree. Taking in to account his past injury record, I would be very happy with deal as Richards is class and can play across the back line in a few positions. He is also lethal going forward as an attacking option

You were lied to. And why would we want another RB when we have Johnson? Richards isn't a good CB.

That would make Agger worth around 17 million, because Richards would be around the 10 ish mark. Wouldn't be bad for an injury prone player. Don't get me wrong id love him to stay, but you never know. Si

Let's not ed! Richards is nowhere near as good as agger! {Ed052's Note - Hmm, I disagree, but Agger is injury prone, and Richards is not injury prone - that's why I would go for that deal. A like for like replacement, as I personally think that Richards is better at CB}

Ed052, are you serious? Richards plus maybe 10 mil then LFC should talk. Agger is one of the most versatile defenders in the PL, I know his injury history isn't great but he's a hell of a lot more effective than Richards. Micah only does well because City's midfield is stunning and he can link up well, there's been an inordinate amount of occasions last season when he was too far forward and strayed into dangerous territory.

JP. {Ed052's Note - As I have said - I rate Richards, especially at CB. But yes, there would be no reason why we couldn't negotiate more than 6.8 million. Still I would be happy to take 6.8 if offered}

Let it not. Agger is way better. {Ed052's Note - Haha - I think I am fighting a losing battle!!}

Ed052 must be a city fan. {Ed052's Note - No way at all mate - LFC all my life. I must say I don't hate City though - but that is just because they stop United winning things now}

Richards is more effective at RB than CB in my opinion, and that's the one area we are very strong at. Agger has become one of the best CBs in the world despite his injury record, and we can't afford to let him go. If we do, however, then it is vital we try and replace him correctly; as much as I think Richards is a good player, he is not the answer. If he were to go to Man City and a swap was included, perhaps a more sensible deal would include Adam Johnson?

I agree mate, as long as City Lives and Breathes, we can forget Man Utd winning the Prem title, even if they buy Kagawa. He wont make a difference, infact just wait and watch him flop. He is at the Olympics right??, what he done over there thats so special.
However, our target Gaston Ramirez has scored a stunner of a free kick and set up a goal. Long story short, i really dont count Utd winning the league this tyme again, its going to be a two horse race between City and Chelsea. LFC on the other hand have a great chance of 4th but if we can work extra hard, 3rd MIGHT just come.
Regarding the topic, why are we even considering selling Agger, why not just bid 12M for Richards, take it or leave offer. That way we stamp our intent that we are not selling one of our highly valued stars. I dont hear Barca ever even thinking whether to sell a player for example Keita, the player himself wants to leave hence they let him go...

Richards is overrated, nowhere near the player he was hyped up to be. agger is far superior.

Why would BR want to sell one of the greatest cb's in the world, even though he does get injured alot, hes still 1 of the gretest and were lucky to have him with a strike parnter like skrtel, also agger said if there was an offer for an extension on his contrct then he would take it, so dont make bull**** rumours saying that were gonna sell agger to man city plus ricahrds who is a crap rumours

He's not at the Olympics, and IMO is a very good player, but not so good that it will swing the title to Man U easily. But I believe that the cracks in Fergie's empire will start to open up this season, especially with Chelsea 's heavy investment.

Speaking of the olypmics, i used to really rate richards until some uncertain performances. although can't be judged on performances with an unfamiliar setting and he could be trained by rodgers so i would be satisfied with the deal!
abc123

Great deal I think. Richards is a top quality right back and we have cover at CB in Agger, Carra and Coates.

Johnson is a real weak link defensively and I've always thought he'd make a more effective RW.

Richards at RB and Johnson in front of him could be a good thing with Johnson able to offer effective cover should Micah get forward.

Just tell man city richards and adam johnson then you have a deal .

trev d

Richards plus AJ and you got yourself a deal.

I think it must be silly season, Richards is Titus Bramble mk 2, don't rate him at centre back at all and clearly neither does Mancini, so why should we give up our best centre half for their cast offs?? Please tell me that??

I bloody hope not .... Richards is total rubbish!!

Ed, if this was true Oldham are due 20% from City if they sell him, but if he's involved in a swap does that make the sell on clause worthless? {Ed002's Note - Putting aside whether it will happen or not, all players are assigned a value if they are part of another deal so money still needs to be paid to third parties if due. Generally clubs will look to agreeing a price with the third party to save arbitration.}

He may not be injury prone, but I wouldn't take Adebayor over Van Persie just cos he plays more!

Plus why would we want a player who throws his toys out the pram when he doesn't get picked for the Euros and refuses to be a back-up, disgusting behaviour and we don't need big egos at our team we need team players!

JonBoy6
YNWA JFT96

Richards is a woeful CB and is normally caught out of position. He is a wonderful right back, however and if Johnson is sold then he would be a fantastic option.

BthekingB

We can move kelly to CB and make richards RB.

LoL , lets take sense out of nonsense

Attirbutes

Run out from defence with the ball: Both can do it well, in fact at times richards does it like a super powerful midfielder with good technique, tackle him at your own risk full pelt he is frightening.

Defending: Both to me are good once again richards being a lil more raw swashbuckling type of defender I dont recall many mistakes from him at right back and centre back

Pace: Richards is quicker by far . . much needed attribute for liverpool pace at the back if you want to play BR's system.

Age: I believe richards is younger.

Danger from set pieces: Both are.

Strength: No contest .. richards all day.

Re-sale value: Richards will win due to age

Injury record: :) There you go

from a sensible point of view I think we need to move on from agger IF he wants to leave that is ive enjoyed watching while he was available.

1. Glen Johnson does not have the ability to play right back.

2. Adam Johnson should never EVER be brought to Liverpool. Over-rated English mediocrity with a terrible attitude.

3. If we're going to sell a CB it should be Skrtel who's nothing without Agger.

You're wrong about Adam Johnson- he is one of the few English players who possess pace, flair and creativity- traits we desperately need at Liverpool. At the moment, the fact we lack such a player is one of the main reasons we're failing to compete for the top four; when you look at the clubs above us, they all have that sort of player, and I just hope Brendan Rodgers brings in AT LEAST one.

Oh, and Glen Johnson has proven himself to be one of the best right backs in the world- did you not see him at the Euros? Our best defender by miles, and our best player after Gerrard. This idea that he is unable to play RB is absolute nonsense, and seemingly based around his attacking skill, which, rather than detracts from his defensive talent, simply means he is an excellent player who has really developed his defensive game over the past two seasons, whilst consistently demonstrating that he is a major attacking threat. Unfortunately last season he was probably one of our best attacking forces.

Richards is not a good CB. Perhaps Liverpool quality though ; )

Vag

Some of you are clearly quite challenged
1. Agger is world class, Richards is not at the moment - No Deal
2 Adam Johnson is clearly better than Downing and our other wide players, he is youngish, English, quick, direct, scores and creates goals, and could play either side of front three, defo more positives than negatives, sign him!
3. Glen Johnson obviously does have the ability to play right back, ask three England managers, Rafa Benitez, Jose Mourinho, King Kenny, he is also clearly not our best player after Gerrard, nor is Gerrard our best player - do you ever watch the match?

Richards is far better at centre half, fully committed in every single game, puts his head where others won't, fast, strong, not injury prone, 24 years old, English and cash for a injury prone supposedly want away 28 year old Dane.

Would be a magnificent deal, if it came off. Fall's in with FSG strategy. (Nearly 19).

Hi Ed's. Just watched the Celtic vs. Aberdeen game and Victor Wanyama was named MOTM. Looked really impressive. His defensive work was good, and was the creator of most of the attacking moves. Just wondering if their was genuine interest in him from Liverpool and if so how much would he cost?
Gerrard, Lucas, Allen, Henderson and Wanyama for me would be one heck of a midfield.

Thanks

Lewis the Red. {Ed052's Note - There has been interest in him - but I wouldn't say it is strong. Arsenal seem keen to agree a deal - instead of going for M'Villa. I guess there is a chance, but extremely low. Finally, if and when we do sign Allen, we surly would have no need for another CM?}

Just watched the same game and sorry but he was ok at best, the standard of the football was average to be nice

Fazza

We have lost Aquilani, Shelvy may well go on loan, Adam may leave and Spearing ain't good enough so there would be every need for another CM

Lewis the Red {Ed052's Note - I'm not sure, we have Suso, Adorjan and Coady who are all ready - we need to stop knocking our youth backwards}

The guys found his level at Celtic just leave him there

You haven't Allen? You won't have him either end of.

04 Aug 2012 12:56:36
Eds what are the chances of us signing walcott?
Thanks and keep up the excellent work. {Ed002's Note - I don't know that Liverpool have shown interest in him but if he comes up for sale perhaps that will change.}

We are defo interested in Walcott, however, it depends on the Van Persie situation. If Robin leaves (as expected), Theo is expected to question the direction AFC are going in. We would have to raise serious funds to even attempt to challenge both Chelsea and Manchester City for Walcott though.

Well Van Persie is leaving thats why there signing carzola on loan,id rather have walcott than dempsey aswell {Ed002's Note - Cazorla is not a loan deal.}

I hope he is coming that would be great

We have Rahim Sterling on the right side, he is an uncut diamond who just needs smoothing down and pointing in the right direction to be brilliant, exactly the same as Theo Wallcott, only difference is Rahim is 17, Wallcott is 23. Walcott is the same now as he was at 17, doesn't seem to have learned anything. Wallcott would cost a lot of money and wouldn't give us anything extra in my opinion.

Sooty

Sooty, I'm not sure if you've actually seen Walcott but he's wasted at Arsenal. His best assets are playing in a 4-3-3 where he can blast down the wing and whip the ball in. Arsenal don't subscribe to that philosophy. I genuinely think Walcott would shine under BR's tactics, however I do register your point regarding Sterling, the thing is we have to acknowledge how young he is, and at that age the pressure could easily break him.

JP.

JP, u do know that Arsenal also deploy a 4-3-3 formation dont you??. The difference is that in Arsenal's formation, Walcott plays as a line hugging Right(Left sometimes) Winger. Now under Rodgers, we will not have any wingers to be honest. All 3 are forwards hence if we play Walcott as a Right Forward and not winger, we will see the best in him guaranteed. We can tear apart a team in just 5 minutes with his sheer pace and our new found ability to win the ball back quickly...Just see how he tore apart Chelsea in only 3 minutes in the match Chelsea lost to Arsenal 1 season back, score was Chelsea 1 - 3 Arsenal. Fabregas also scored in the game...

Nobody likes defending against pace Theo at Liverpool would be huge asset

Everyone is getting excited about Malaga being ripped apart and linking players. Do any of the eds know of any interest in Malaga players from Liverpool? Rondon or Toulalan would make decent additions in my opinion.

Dan {Ed002's Note - Things have moved on this morning with Rubin Kazan getting closer to capturing Rondon. Spurs may make a counter bid.}

Ed do you know if it is the rumoured 10 million euros Rubin have offered? {Ed002's Note - I don't know the actual amount but it seems likely it is around that figure.}

Do you think Liverpool will bring in another forward, especially of Bellamy and Carroll leave. Problem is, the window shuts in 27 days, and Rodgers claims to be working on quite a few deals. Gonna be cutting it fine, last thing we want is any more rushed signings {Ed002's Note - There is pleanty of time - expect August 31 to be a busy day.}

Whats new? all spurs do is make counter bids. Havent they got any scouts.

Isco is the only Malaga player we should go for.

04 Aug 2012 12:14:27
Liverpool have made 30m gbp combined bid for Isco + Rondon

Is this true ed2? {Ed002's Note - No it is rubbish.}

Seems a bit steep

Rob

Was it a sneaky bid?

HK

Another crap rumour.

Pawoppah sneaky!

A bold claim and not left a name.........so tosh then?! Ed's what the chances of havin a tosh bin and it could be on a lower level than dodgy rumours?!

Brownie YNWA

No, they have not.

04 Aug 2012 11:47:52
When Arsenal complete the deal for santi carzola then theo Walcott will sign for us in a deal worth £13.75 million with add ons pushing the fee to £15 million great site eds

I just don't get this fascination with Walcott. I really don't. Can someone please explain why we'd want to buy him?

I hope this is true walcott is really good

Not good enough - flatters to deceive

Puzzled

May as well get Usain Bolt. Bolt is definitely better in the final third.

So FSG gamble on Carroll do you really honestly think they will do that again on Walcot?! I think Dempsey is more likely and makes more sense tbh? He's a proven striker, rarely injured and would cost less? If you have ever watched Dempsey you would know he's a better player than Walcot. Walcot may be quick but Dempsey's all round game and link up play is better.

Brownie YNWA

The argument that Walcott is just pace and nothing else is sheer stupidity, especially when you consider the same people making it are the ones bigging up Raheem Sterling.

Walcott is a quality player, he'd be a very good signing.

All Walcott needs is to play in his favoured position and that is Right Forward and not Right Winger aka hugging the touchline like he does at Arsenal. Btw, Walcott is good finisher, he just needs to be released at the right time and his pace does the rest of the job.
Secondly, he is miles ahead of Downing, has age on his side and can dribble. Surely If we had Sterling on the Left and Walcott on the Right, their sheer pace can outdo any fullback, even Barcelona's. Ask Adriano and Abidal....

BR definately wants pace down that right flank but also wants someone who can cross the ball - Walcott can't cross teh ball FACT!!

Walcott is also an inconsistant player - At his best he'll score spectular goals after dancing past players with pace. That happens maybe 3 or 4 games a season though!! Reminds me of Harry Kewell - Some games he looked World Class most games he looked average at best!

If Walcot was that good he wouldnt be leaving a top 4 side, it's the FACT he is very inconsistant, he drifts in and out of games and scores few goals oh and can't cross a ball. Dempsy is consistant and would be a better addition to squad was my point.

Brownie YNWA

Walcott doesn't half get some stick on these pages. He's a very good player in my opinion and could be great. A lot of assists last year for a player who cant cross, but this isn't true. 15m for a player in the last year of his contract who isn't a regular starter? Just not gonna happen at that price.

04 Aug 2012 11:32:36
Hi Eds,

Just wondered if we had shown any interest in either Wilifried Bony or Roberto Firmino and what are your thoughts on what these players could bring to the team if we do sign them? {Ed002's Note - Bony has been of interest to Newcastle recently and has been a player Chelsea have been considering for a while. Roberto Firmino was looked at by several EPL clubs last year but I understand Hoffenheim has no intention of letting him leave this summer.}

I reckon Bony

I reckon Bony would be a great shout. He is an absolute steam engine who runs through defenders like a rugby player. He has a quality first touch as well.

JP.

Bony is decent but we need better. Firmino would be excellent.

Eds, Are Liverpool sniffing around any players from Malaga? Rondon, Isco and Monreal are all highly rated. {Ed002's Note - Liverpool, Rubin Kazan, Chelsea and Spurs and looked at and enquired about Rondon, but I don't know of any bids at this time. Everyone who has enquired after Rondon has been quoted a figure high enough to scare them off. With the club failing to be sold by the end of July - and the likely buyer stepping back - it may be possible to make a play at a lower price and Malaga would listen. Spurs and Rubin Kazan are still talking to Malaga.}

Hello Eds could you please he;p me clear a few things up :
1. What's the situation with Bellamy. Are we trying to move him on or is he asking for a move ? I would be disappointed if we are trying to move him while keeping JOE COLE.
2. Do you reckon the Dempsy deal is off or we coul still get him ? Also are Fulham really interested in Adam as part of the deal ?
3. Do you reckon Afellay and/or Adebayor could be available for loan deals ? {Ed002's Note - I would think there is a chance of Bellamy leaving after the Olympics if a deal can be struck with Cardiff City. I would doubt a move elsewhere would interest him. At present it looks likely that Joe Cole will stay. The Dempsey deal is not off. I don't know about Adam. I am not convinced that a loan for Adebayor is an option - Afellay, perhaps.}

Adebayor is definitely an option. Here's hoping we don't get Afellay. The Dutch Joe Cole, not at all what we need.

Pablo Betancourt has given a phone interview on Rai radio 1 saying that Napoli are keen on Ramirez to replace Lavezzi but are unwilling to meet the €25 million asking price of Bologna. He say an attractive offer from Germany was made but that Ramirez respectfully said he would not move to Germany. JimK in Lake Como

Nothin on there about a bid from liverpool then?

No one will be willing to pay 25m euros for him.

Can anyone confirm this? If true it looks like the talks in London didn't go too well.

Probably just agent trying to push things through and increase his fees !

PaulLfc {Ed002's Note - Betancourt is the agent of Ramirez.}

He also spoke about Stuani and Godin. I only provided the info about Ramirez because it relates to a player my team is tracking. If you are interested he said Stuani will be the next gold star of Uruguay and will play at the highest level. As for Godin, he is happy in Madrid but Betancourt says that as the best centre back in the world there will always be a pack chasing his signature. JimK

Ed002 - Sorry, that is what I meant, he was trying to stir up things around the Ramirez move saying others are interested or have i got the OP wrong?

PaulLfc {Ed002's Note - We know there is interest in Ramirez from a number of clubs - I can't see anthing new in what the poster said really. The most interesting thing for me was not Liverpool related - Stuani. There had been plenty of hype surrounding the player a few years ago but I had forgotten all about him.}

Ed's, any info on Kjaer? Daniel Aggers CB partner for Denmark and a heck of a prospect. Young, talented and a Dane. Anyone interested? Hopefully we will be soon {Ed002's Note - Roma did not take up the option (by June 1 from memory) but the player is still hopeful a deal can be completed with them. Lille and Metalist enquired but it went no further. He has made it clear that he will not return to Wolfsburg under the extant management and Magath says he has no use for him. The price is 10M euros.}

Im surprised so many people rate this guy I just don't see it, I think his awareness and reading the game is awful Agger had to work twice as hard in the euros because off it. I think giving Coates(a much better player) a run in the side if one of our CBs goes and premoting a youngster like Sama or wisdom is a much better option. But that's just my opinion.

Square tomato

I have heard that he is on the short list should we lose Skrtl. RED LENIN

Kjaer would be on par with when we signed Pellegrino. He is nowhere near good enough and never will be.

Plus, he's a liverpool fan

Hey Eds - Have we had any interest in the winger Jeremain Lens from PSV? Looks very talented and has lots of pace. At 24 he's also fairly young. Just wanted to know.

Cheers. {Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware. The likes of Blackburn, Newcastle and Wolves showed interestin PSV's Jeremain Lens last year. Southampton and Stoke City have shown interest in Lens recently.}

Gaston Ramirez fee agreed in a region of 13m personal terms not yet agreed .

KarateLFCTony

Hope it's true but whats your source?

May you have a long life my friend for this news

It's £13.4m

Another Tweeter BS perhaps, LOL

Ed002?

THE SUMON VAI {Ed002's Note - Looks a little Twitterish right now Simon.}

Ed002, with all due respect it's Sumon not Simon. That's the 2nd time you've called me Simon. Btw, I think this guy's previous name was TinyLFCTony. Anyways, I always felt bringing Ramirez would be too good to be true.

THE SUMON VAI {Ed002's Note - Apologies over the name Sumon. As far as I am concerned nothing has changed in respect of Ramirez and Liverpool may well try and complete a deal - but as of right now, I do not know of any agreement of a 13M euro fee for the player.}

We have bid 16m EUROS (£12.67m). Still being considered. Expect agreement at £18m EUROS (£14.26m) for the fee. Whether Ramirez fancies the move is another matter entirely.

To the person above, Ramirez is known to want the move.

Apparently Duncan Oldham saw Ramirez at a McDonalds drive through last week. :D

Carroll to West Ham is likely to be completed in the next week, as is Joe Allen's move from Swansea. There has been no interest in Ramirez from LFC, and it seems that the Dempsey deal is off. Liverpool looking at Soldado as Carroll's replacement.

When the deals do happen, please remember the name of who posted it.

Soul J,

Very good fab-ed story. Nice!
It is actually very entertaining.

All seems plausible, possibly except for the Soldado number. As much as I would welcome him to the club, I think he just signed a long term contract with Valencia.

Fsg and BR both have the same philosophy in the fact they are only interested in buying young players (25 and under) who could increase in value, Dempsey is a different matter as he provides a way into the American market and I still think he will arrive. Soldado is 27 and would likely cost £15m+ and I really doubt we would spend that much on a 27 year old.

Soldado wont be signing

That would be the Soldado who only signed a 6 year contract this summer, right?

TSP

Well clearly there is interest in Ramirez because it is a rumour tht will not go away. There is no smoke without fire. I would urge lfc to grab Ramirez quick ass possible . He will be amazing close to suarez and Allen making bursting runs with Sterling running loose it could be frighening for any team with lfc on the break. It will all make sense.

Soldado......mate, he just signed a new deal with Valencia only 2 months ago, you are way off there.

Ozred

Soldado is not available. Why even bring him up? He will not be going to Liverpool. Remember this name!

Dreamboy

Soldado won't be, he just signed a 4 or 5 year new contract..

You mean that Spanish bloke who signed a new three year deal at Valencia about 5 weeks ago? Soul J is it? You should call yourself OJ because you've just hacked a load of old rumours to bits.

Haha!
I remember that soldado just signed a new conract!
So id say your sources aint happenin...

Can we remember your name when the deals dont happen?

BADGER

Carroll will not go to West Ham, hopefully he will stay, if BR is as good as he is meant to be, he has the perfect opportunity in turning AC into a totally unplayable striker - he showed everybody what he is capable of last year when he made John Terry look totally average.

John B

When the obvious stuff that has been reported in the press happens. You know who to give credit too.

Remember the name that posted theses rumours?
Most of the daily papers, too many school kids to count, the ever reliable caught offside (joke) and about a thousand other people, I'm human not an elephant!!!

Soldado will not be joining us, this is all made up! Hate people like this that just have bs spilling out of them!!! YNWA

I hope we don't get Ramirez as I have seen 7-8 games where he has been playing and he's done nothing bar scoring that free kick last week. We have Henderson who I personally believe is better. I can see dempsey coming too as this will hopefully provide greater financial rewards in the us.

Wrong on every level.
Carroll won't move to West Ham, Soldado not a target and doubt we'll sign Ramirez.
Allen & Dempsey will both happen and if we sell Carroll I'm told we'll move for Walcott.
If Carroll moves on loan no Walcott and probably a loan move of our own for Pato or or maybe Sturridge if Chelsea move or Walcott or Moses.

PieInTheSkyMan

^ Pato?!? haha less likely than Soldado

Dempsey pulled out of Fulham's tour of Switzerland, and is training with the Youth Team. It's pretty obvious he wants to move to Liverpool.

Saldado who has just signed a bumper long contract deal?

First off, the daft boy who posted this:

there is definite interest in ramirez, and no chance of soldado.

secondly to the chap who rambled about carroll hopefully staying and made some daft comment about him being unplayable, carroll is crap. crap. just deal with it. he had a good game in a match that chelsea didn't care about and he cost us the cup final by missing sitters. crap. sooner he's gone the better. can't finish, can't pass, no movement, no work ethic, terrible attitude.
