was wondering if there is any truth in the report i just read about victor moses of wigan...which claims that liverpool spurs and sunderland are interested as his contract talks have stalled..

i do recall lfc watching him when he was at palace a cple of seasons back

IMHO I think this Victor Mosses rumour is our most likely out of all rumours I've heard along with Adam Johnson as City apparently need to sell to buy.

"We've not heard a thing from Liverpool," McLeish said. "I'm aware of the speculation. But there has been no contact with this club and I think you've had three parties telling you that.

"But, even if there was contact, we would not entertain that [selling Bent]. We wouldn't want to entertain selling our top scorer of last season. He is a prolific marksman.". Wake up people, Darren bent is not going to Liverpool.

So mcleish says that at 11 pm tonite? Things change in the fickle game of football my friend and if u don't know this then u haven't got a clue!! Ain't saying its happening but wake up this is same guy who said he was staying at Birmingham!!

Mpc

I think some1 else needs to "wake up" cos of course villa are going to say that why would they say other wise untill hes a liverpool player........

Not saying this would happen either, but we said the same thing regarding Torres.

Yeah, because when Villa said Downing was not for sale, they kept to that. Just a few days later he was a red
Hes just saying it to keep the fans happy as he's not the most popular man in villa park atm

Plus, does villa looking at signing Robbie Keane not seem a slight bit suspicious to you?

Didn't he say something similar about downing (not the prolific marksman part)..I too can't see it him coming here but the point is, u never know managers say things when they need to...

He said that at 1,30 this afternoon its been on sky sports news all day and night there must be something to the rumours id be shocked if they sold him he,s there top scorer there struggling a bit as well but you never know after his xmas shopping stunt they might want rid of him time will tell
giblet

We're more likely to sign El-Hadji Diouf than Bent. NOT HAPPENING.

He's not thank God for that

Thank God for that? Yeah thank God we're not signing one of the most consistant goal scorers in the premier league of the last 7 years or so just at a time when we need a goal scorer?! Phew that was a close one....

Yep thank God he may get a lot of goals in small clubs bet he was sh*t at spurs so if he moves up again to a even bigger club (Liverpool) i think he'll flop once again

05 Jan 2012 23:27:20
Heard we are in for Bafetimbi Gomis from Lyon!

05 Jan 2012 23:15:56
I'm a Black Liverpool Supporter since I was born
How can Evra have a go at Suarez
Dan H
Below is the Evra saying the N-word

Can anyone tweet it to collymore,its all hes tweeted on tonight,may shut him up,

Oh dear this so clearly fake, please stop putting all liverpool fans in such a bad light

How can that be fake ?

It can't be him as he said that he does not like using that word ;) (ps I know its him)

Its not fake it was done in 2004 when he was stil at monoco !!

This just proves that culture is an important part to take into consideration when racism is involved. Evra just said niggas out loud infront of cameramen. Does that mean he is racist or said it in a racist manour? No. It isn't racist to him because of black culture. It is the same with Suarez who said Negro and in his culture of south america it is an acceptable term.

Tom19

Yep seen it on you tube...tosser

This just proves how politically correct society is boxxxxxs ,some people can say the n word others cant, even from different languages and cultures when did commen sense become non existent.

06 Jan 2012 01:21:27
it's definitely not fake. Have a look before you say it's fake.

06 Jan 2012 01:22:35
It's never a fake, check the link for full documentary... Actual clip of Evra at 35:29...

www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4_fQXwIV4E&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Hmmm its really tough dilemma when it's seemingly ok for people to make derogatory comments about their own race (see Hip-Hop). What if you're mixed race - does that allow you to make derogatory comments about either race you belong to? Surely it's about context and intention not just the word used. Negro is Spanish for black. The word 'black' or in Spanish 'negro' is common everyday usage but used in the wrong context or after a negative adjective it can be offensive.

06 Jan 2012 01:30:47
the cropped/shortened evra n-word video version was edited slightly which kind of made it look fake, the real version is not as high pitched and does not have hasslebank and lampards name added.

he's a total hypocrite the fa report states:
Question) why did you tell the ref suarez called you black instead of the n-word.

Answer) because i can't bring myself to use that word...LIAR

When you say you're a "black Liverpool supporter since you were born" do you mean you've always been black since you were born or a Liverpool supporter since you were born or both? The point is, I'm half Jamaican and in the 1970's, I was a half caste Liverpool supporter. In the 1980's that changed to coloured Liverpool supporter, and in the 1990's that changed to mixed race supporter. I can't keep up with what I'd be called in these culturally and politically sensitive days. I've always thought of myself as just a Liverpool supporter. I was the black sheep (excuse the pun)with my white uncles for not supporting Everton! All this, and I only just look like I've got a bit of a tan! :o)

Just as an aside, in the 1980's, Blackburne House girls school mixed with another school I can't remember the name of somewhere up near the Cathedral. They banned blackboards and black ink so as not to cause offence to anyone. Genuinely.

Anyway, my other point is, the word Evra used is despicable whether it comes out of the mouth of a black or white person and I'd confront anyone who used it. Evra is a grade A hypocrite.

Looka people he can say it 'Caucasian' can't get over it same way a homasexual can say the F' word and i can't

They shows this on sky news uk how can this be fake if they showed it ? {Ed002's Note - It is not fake, just a few years old.}

Its not fake...its in most of the papers....evra just a loser in simple words ohh and hes fergies joeyy

Just proves once more what a load of witch hunting morons the F.A. are. The whole thing is a stitch up, possibly trying to keep peoples minds off Terry's problem as he is England captain.

I am a social worker and any comments that people find offensive are not needed however, what is worst about this is that a tackle can be made on a player that leaves him with a serious injury, perhaps even career threatening and he only gets a 3 game ban maybe even nothing? words are words people and the world needs to toughen up a little!

05 Jan 2012 22:54:09
AWell reports in holland say de jong deal almost done and a newspaper writer here saying and anfield source said bent deal not close but done

lee

Not close but done??

LJ

Much rather see De JONg in liverpool than Bent. But please, we all know that they will not bring in 2 strikers. 1 striker and maybe a wing

05 Jan 2012 22:07:15
Eds, I've heard from a reliable tottenham itk source that we have enquired about Niko Kranjcar. Seems a pointless signing to me, have you heard any info? {Ed002's Note - I have nothing on it but may be a possibility.}

05 Jan 2012 22:39:12
Hiya Ed. What are the chances that we have had any interest in players from the Russian league, particularly Seydou Doumbia of CSKA Moscov?

I know it sounds like a case of FM2012 fever, but I did see him in some replays of the CL group stages recently. And he looks the part. Excellent finisher of the ball, great pace and strength, and has an all-around game as well with decent dribbling and composure on the ball.

I know he'll be at ACON now, but if we do have an interest, and seeing as it is the off-season in Russia, do you think Comolli could get a deal worked out?

Anyone else seen much of him?

Anfield Rapstar {Ed001's Note - he has been looked at, he is one of the possible targets, but that is as much as I know.}

05 Jan 2012 22:36:43
Just heard that bent deal done this evening according to a source from Anfield. Just passing on what ive heard. Thanks guys (and possibly girls)

Ste

Just heard the same of a agent m8 of mine!!

Mpc

Is your sauce the Mirror guy on twitter? Thought so..

Yer I've heard the same mate! I hope so

Bull , transfers are handled at Melwood Anfield is only were we play games ,hardly any business goes on there

Is your source the same one that Darren Anderson uses?

05 Jan 2012 22:34:26
Let's just get behind whoever Kenny signs , once he plays for Liverpool support Them

early talks with Wolves or enquirey regarding either Jarvis or Fletcher ( I'am led to belive it's Fletcher ) , who I think would be a good solid signing he knows were the net is

There is a lot of whispers regarding Bent but no one will say one way or the other but I was told at wigan game Dalglish Like Benitez wants him , and Camoli did bring him to spurs

K.O.B

More s**t british players comin in

The Fletchers are not d calibre of players we need right now

05 Jan 2012 22:30:37
Liverpool and Arsenal face a major battle with Fiorentina and Borussia Dortmund to sign Spartak Moscow striker Welliton.

The Brazilian, 25, is rated one of the best forwards in Russia and has attracted interest from a number of European clubs.

Both Liverpool and Arsenal are keen to bolster their forward line and have been linked with a move for the 5ft 9in forward.

Spartak Moscow are desperate to keep their prolific forward but would consider offers in the region of £7m.

Kenny Dalglish and Arsene Wenger will have to act fast if they want to sign him as reports in Russia suggest that Fiorentina and Borussia Dortmund have also entered the race to clinch his signature.

Talksport

---------------

ed is it true for £7m?? {Ed001's Note - I don't know sorry.}

If he is 7mill sureley we must bid

05 Jan 2012 22:30:18
Well lads. Heard a story, don't believe it myself, but thought i would share it wit you all. We have been re monitoring the progress of Sebastien Leto. He is in good form in Greece. Hear any thing on this ed?

Also hearing whisperings that we are in contact again with Internacional over Leandro Damiao. Both clubs valuations are way off still.

YWNA
KMK {Ed001's Note - only the same rumours with regard to Leto, they have been circulating a while.}

05 Jan 2012 22:40:24
@MirrorAnderson: An Anfield source says Darren Bent's move to Liverpool is done.

05 Jan 2012 22:11:50
Just to clarify for all the giddy fans, Torres will NOT be returning to Anfield - period.

Talks over Luuk De Jong are expected to be held early next week..

Cheers

Snowbed

What gives you this expert knowledge no one knows much these days and you for one have not been too reliable

Yer but we can dream kenny had him playing well come home Torres

I really don't know why everybody is so happy about all of these Torres rumours (Even though they clearly aren't true!) we already have one striker that couldn't hit a barn door from 3 yards (two if you count kuyt!) why would we want to go and buy another that cant?At least Andy Carroll is 5 years younger than the Spaniard that doesn't even deserve to have his name mentioned in the same sentence as liverpool for what he did! And for what its worth I do think Carroll will come good eventually im just not sure its going to happen quickly enough to save his liverpool career?(unfortunately) Have faith in the king he knows what he is doing YNWA

Carroll was pushed out of Newcastle and in my opinion it is the only club he has passion for.

He was rubbish when he went to PNE on loan, and it was only his passion for Newcastle that made him work so hard and play so well. I think he's a one club player. I hope I'm wrong.

05 Jan 2012 21:55:14
Hey ed i thought id just let you/ other people know someone on RAWK who seems fairly genuine over the last transfer windows... seems to know a little bit about things, i doubt he is 100% accurate buts its alright, but anyway he said that we made an opening bid for Bent today.

I know you haven't heard anything and Macca said he cant see it, but i thought id just let you know.

YNWA 92 LFC

Oh and he did also say it was just an opening bid which was quite small and will be rejected, but i guess its a starting point.

05 Jan 2012 20:13:58
Hi Eds.. firstly the site is great, the only reliable one I know. I know you've been asked about this a million times but since these rumours about torres returning are everywhere now and people say it's almost done. have you heard anything about it lately? macca?

thank you {Ed002's Note - Nothing sorry.}

05 Jan 2012 21:19:25
BIG NEWS!! Torres coming back if we can agree on a price

Whers the news come from? {Ed001's Note - he has probably just had a wet dream....}

Is it the same person who posted the last 3 posts about torres

Like Chelsea will pay 50m then sell him for 20m

Seems to me there are a few bored people tonight,, its not working.

R u lot serious...y u all cryn ova torres hes not kumin bck and liverpool dnt want him bck...so gt ova him

I Was told 3/4 weeks ago that torres was coming back the guy works at anfield charlie ( old swan )

Notice on this site, how absolutely no one will be discussing what you've just posted.

Kk ed ive called who we were signing on this last year so ill tell ya want funny guy ill just not let u know anymre {Ed001's Note - of course you did. Another nameless poster who claims to have got everything right with nothing to back up their obvious fabrications. Yes, I am sure you will be missed.}

How the flip im i a nameless poster. i called us gettin suarez when every1 was saying he wasnt coming i kept telling use he was and if not u 1 of the eds kept saying no i cant see it. see u eds think u know it all but really use know fa!! {Ed001's Note - easy to say but you have nothing to prove you did so. You are a nameless poster because you don't put a name to your posts, is that difficult to understand? Seemed blindingly obvious to me.}

He has just left Melwood, I saw him. Apparently he was still in Enrique's pocket from last time we played them.

Got to hand it to some people for there sense of humour lol

Packet of rolos for him

05 Jan 2012 21:18:51
just seen torres being driven away from melwood. hopefully deal complete by the weekend.

super scouse

Only in there for 4 minutes?? See post below. He won't be back!

Do you have a phone with a camera on it?

fowler 99

Ed... this isn't a rumour.. does anyone actually believe this? Shouldn't make the board unless there's a remote chance of being true.

Are you sure it wasn't a blonde women? easy mistake to make I know.

Seriously...why would any football club conduct their business so publicly? I enjoy, and am excited by, transfer talk...but this is ridiculous!!

So he was there for 4 minutes? see previous post

I can confirm Torres was at Melwood but not to re-sign. He was just there to apologise to the players, staff and fans for the way he stabbed everyone in the back in january 2010

Probably walked in to see if he can come back and was told to f**k off. that would account for the 4 minutes robbie

Torres alledgedly walked into Melwood at 21:14 and was driven out 4 minutes later. That must have been one hell of a productive meeting.

I live just behind melwood an i was rang today by my mate an told me he seen him coming out an he no story teller. i be able to confirm i live there if any one wants to question me on the area

It was just him grovelling to the king, doesn't take up to much time

05 Jan 2012 21:14:26
ive just seen torres walking into melwood. wonder what thats about

Did you manage to notice what bus he got off?

So how then was he seen driven away 4 minutes later (post above!)......maybe left a pair of scoring boots at melwood that he has been missing for 12 months lol. He won't be back

Picture?

When you see him walking out tell him to keep walking and don't come back

Maybe he turned up begging to return and someone said 'taxi for torres'.

'taxi for torres'.??

He'd miss that too

05 Jan 2012 21:04:49
I don't no I it's true but really good source from sky sports have revealed that Suarez could be on his way out of LFC.

Why do lfc fans still watch or look at ssn.
They talk a load of crap and are totally unreliable, I mean they need fans to phone in to tell them what is happening with their club

Stop following the daily fecking star

On this sight it has been talked about all day from about 10am
ssn prob got it from hear lol

Suarez is going nowhere. Go back to your Scumchester page

Why lie

Name your "really good source from sky sports" if it's true please.

Ssn is one of the main reasons if u ask me why everybody else is on suarez's back!! They have nothing else too report so they report the same story over and over and over again which the last 3 months has been the Suarez saga!!

Mpc

May be we got better doctors than Chelsea so he came for some checkups

05 Jan 2012 20:39:40
Hey Ed couple questions, are we actually looking at Lewis dunk? Are we still interested in ki from Celtic? And do you really believe there's any chance Torres will return? {Ed001's Note - don't know sorry. I don't know of any interest in Ki. No, of course not.}

05 Jan 2012 19:35:23
This must be a joke about Torres...Anyway, whoever comes should do just one thing - SCORE GOALS!!

If the Torres deal is 90 % done, how come it is not on any site!

05 Jan 2012 19:10:39
all ive heard and this is a fact is comolli has had talks with newcastle, chelsea and also an un-named club from holland. {Ed002's Note - That has to be Ba, Torres and De Jong. Thanks.}

Well i didnt want to say this but nope, its for tiote (enquiring about the price). malouda and luuk de jong.

Well i didn't want to say this: but your making it up

It can be that sylvian marveaux, frank lampard and de jong... hmmmm

What you said is on Koptalk on breaking news yellow ticker on top.

No, no. It's Ba, Drogba, and de Jong.

No, im fairly sure it is to see who Chealski want to poach on deadline day, a bunch of flowers to newcastle to say an extra thank-you for Enrique and it wasn't a 'football' club Comolli was visiting in holland!!

Tiote, Kalou & Du Jong

De-ja vu wasn't this 12 months ago with carroll torres and suarez talk bout recycling old news lol.
Carlos79

Use dont have to believe, but watch when this happens.

Well guess what, the lads right - it is for tiote, malouda and de jong.

and yes its on koptalk, so the lad is talking facts. not like the crap thats gets discussed when scrolling down the page.

Pfft. You guys are crazy. We held talks for John Terry and We Cobayeanycar.com. The Dutch club was FC Twente, obviously, but we enquired about the availability of Steve McLaren.

No no. It's Demba ba, Drogba, Muamba, and Simba

05 Jan 2012 19:03:42
Torres to return 90% done, good source. remember, before you snigger, did you see him leaving and Andy carroll coming in a year ago!!

Done deal

Torres is a traitor and is not welcome back

We all seen him gojng

Have him back tomorrow. Form is temporary class is permanent!

Torres has class really could have fooled anyone whose seen his pathetic digs at us in the press. Don't want him let him rot at Chelsea

Jim

B****cks

Torres hit a rich vein of form over 2 year ago the fact that it hasn't returned means it was form not class.

I would take him back in a hearteat, but he is gone forever, sadley.

No i wouldnt take him back.....1 he is a traitor..2 he insulted liverpool when he went....3 even carrols scored more goals since he went so go sleep ppz

Im not sniggering, Im guffawing and wetting my pants! ABSOLUTE POPPYCOCK!

05 Jan 2012 18:29:01
I can tell you with absolute certainty that Comolli and Ron Gourlay have been hammering out a deal to bring Torres back to Anfield. Not only that, but it was at the players request....don't shoot the messenger...very genuine news from a very genuine source!

I laugh @ myself for even thinking for a second , that you may be GENUINE! thats why i love this site!!

Difficult to believe...but I would have him back! Class is permanent!!

That is such a ballsy statement that I must admit, I am quietly excited. By quietly I mean other than the fact I have said it on an international rumours website...

The fields of anfield road facebook by any chance?

Like others, I am extremely sceptical. What is the nature of this 'very genuine source'?

Um NO

By genuine source do you mean copy and pasted from the fields of anfield road facebook?

So genuine you copied it off facebook!

Haha. You must be really in the know! Copy and paste?!
Don't want him back anyway! money grabbing tosser that called people at the club liars!

I didn't copy anything- didn't even know it was already on facebook- got a text from a friend who works at the club

'Who' didn't copy anything? (A long-shot I know...but even a hint to credibility would be good)

He's right its a pretty genuine source. If you dont believe him thats fine but this is a very credible source. {Ed001's Note - how is it credible? Do they have a good track record? I have never heard of them. I am asking a genuine question here, as I am not on FB.}

How certain are you?

Is there not £20m outstanding on Torres which chelski owe the club anyway so would they not call it quits they dont pay anymore and we call our player back

05 Jan 2012 18:32:06
can we just sighn a striker an winger ow an some 1 who can can score

Why has no one thought of this?! You should be in charge of transfer, careful Damien!
MansfieldRED

Can we just get some posters that can spell, sick of this abbreviated text talk.

That is simply genius! I doubt that Dalglish has thought about such a brilliant tactical masterstroke.

U want 3 players so
1 a striker
2 a winger
3 someone who can score--tim howard maybe??

I agree maybe a center-half

05 Jan 2012 18:18:04
Hi Ed, any news about lavezzi? Are we even linked to him
{Ed002's Note - Use the search function.}

05 Jan 2012 18:10:26
i understand Liverpool lining up a 18 million pound bid for Ba and are also going to buy ozil for 25 million

do you think any of these are ture ed {Ed002's Note - No.}

It's my understanding that the reason that Ba is at Newcastle is that no prem club can gain insurance on this player so why would Liverpool try and buy him for £18m?? He maybe a great scorer but something doesnt add up for me on Ba!

I think there's a better chance that Evra and Suarez hug it out than LFC signing Ozil..

Ozil thing might be true he is unsettled at real. {Ed002's Note - No.}

No chance for any of these to happen IMO. YNWA

Ba's Knees are so bad it's only a matter of time before it catches up with him!

Ba will be missing for 5 weeks at the African Nations cup so I'd forget that one!

Ba is flavour of the month like Carroll was last year. Rather than nick Newcastle strikers why not poach their scouts and coaches be far cheaper and more profitable.

05 Jan 2012 17:43:22
Hey ed's , could there be a chance of liverpool buying demba ba from newcastle? we could be second time lucky from newcastle !! {Ed002's Note - Try the search function.}

05 Jan 2012 17:40:23
There must be some truth in the Darren Bent transfer, Villa are eyeing up a loan move for Robbie Keane. Whether it will happen or not is another matter.

Why does the fact that Villa want Keane on loan mean we are after Bent? Villa are desperately short of strikers, Ireland has played CF the last 2 matches.

Keane is only a two month loan deal. If that's the case I'd gladly take Bent on a two month till Luis is back.

05 Jan 2012 17:38:35
hey eds do you know if lfc still have an interest in podolski? {Ed002's Note - The standard words still hold true. At least for me. I don't see any chance of Podolski going to a club where he cannot be sure of a starting place - it could well put his international career at risk. Galatasary, Lazio, Lokomotiv Moscow, Schalke, Anzhi and Zenit and Arsenal have shown an interest in Podolski. If he does move to England, Arsenal is certainly the most likely destination. A summer move may be more likely than a January move.}

Cannot be guaranteed a space? I thought he was meant to be class, what's his ability like Ed's? {Ed002's Note - Since I wrote these words he has himself said a similar thing.}

He must know he will be guarenteed a shirt, i know carrols not that bad but podolki is well better

Ed, here in Denmark we watch The Bundesliga a lot. Podolski is pure class, and will every team in PL. He is maybe the best player in the Bundesliga at the moment, and if it was'nt for him, FC Köln would be placed at the bottom place in Germany.
Cheers from a red Dane

He would be garunteed a start with us ofcourse he would hes quality lol

05 Jan 2012 17:24:28
Hi eds I have just read an article by David Maddock of the Mirror and it says are Liverpools owners that have kept quiet over the suarez case is because they might be looking to make a quick buck on the club and that our global as been tarnished by the incident.

I find this as a bit of a joke and a bit more media stirring i would just like your opinions eds. I think we have great owners who are willing to back our club and manager.

Also as our club been tarnished by the Suarez case and the support we have gave him?

Thanks
Mighty reds

{Ed001's Note - I have heard no whispers of any consideration of selling the club, it must be remembered that Henry is a front man, the main mover behind the consortium buying the club is a Liverpool fan. So I feel it is unlikely that he would want to be part of any quick buck consortium.}

If this is what football has come to then a set of rules need to be published with a players contract as too what is accepted a a non-racist comment and what is.
For a comment to be racist it has to be directed knowingly to a person who A. Would find it racist and B. The person saying it intended it to be racist.

Luis Suarez and Patrick Evra both said it wasn't racist and for the record the term Negroid (Negro) was on the rear of Section 9 Police Statement forms, so how can it and he be racist. {Ed002's Note - Would you like to enlighten us to when the Police Statement form contained that term?}

Stop reading the bias red rag tops, and I assure you, life will be much better.

Maddock and the Mirror would say anything to sell a paper and stir things up, especially where LFC are concerned. They are very nearly as bad as the S'*

Forget about the word "negro", I would think saying, blackie blackie blackie blackie, is somewhat racist... and yes. I'm a liverpool fan, maybe just a reasonable one.

Ed: The police use what is called an IC which stands for Identity Code the term IC 3 was Negroid meaning of Black Origin and this was clearly written of the rear of statement forms when describing a persons ethnicity. This has since been replaced with African/Afro Carribean. {Ed002's Note - Thanks, so it is not used now.}

After the mirror published a picture of suarez with the words racist underneath,i think liverpool banned the mirror from anfield/melwood,maddock always negative about liverpool

Ed: Correct.

Wasn't Roy of the Rovers striker partner called Blackie? I think it was and the team was Melchester in the comic so I reckon it is too much of a coincedence and any reference to Blackie was in fact a compliment to Evra when he gets forward with the ball.

And yes I am a Liverpool fan, maybe just an unreasonable one...

FAO Ed001
Henry is v much a type of front man. NESV knew his "charm" would be a change from gobby Hicks. But ultimately its only promises with nothing to back it up.
Not sure who the Liverpool fan behind the takeover is meant to be.
Sounds a bit like G&H who "fell in love with all things football in Liverpoolshire" soon after they saw the potential "customer" base.

The discrimination against Luis, and the cowardice from NESV is appalling.

As for the FA and co, just take a look at the panel, Gordon Taylor, Ouseman, the "independent experts" and all the Manc-chester Utd cronies working their deviousness.. It stinks like xxxx. {Ed001's Note - you clearly have no idea about FSG, they are nothing like H&G at all, they have a proven track record and are not full of broken promises, they have consistently avoided making any. Perhaps you should check up before making derogatory remarks based on your own ignorance? One of the main men (if I remember rightly off the top of my head it is Werner but I could be wrong) is very much a Liverpool fan and is the reason why they chose to buy Liverpool FC.}

Ed001, i was always under the impression that John Henry was the main owner and responsible for buying the club? who is the consortium actually backed by then? {Ed001's Note - the closest thing I can think of to FSG, to keep it simple to explain, is a group of mates getting together to buy a racehorse. They each buy a share of the horse and then share the costs between themselves. John Henry is one of a group of extremely wealthy men, but he is only one part of the whole and is more of a mouthpiece than the leader. That being said, he does have a share in it, so he is able to affect decisions, but he is not in control as such.}

The story in the Mirror has no substance to it. It has been fabricated by the pillock known as Maddock. I expect he's a little miffed as he has been told he's no longer welcome at Anfield! Also expect more support for Suarez..

Ed001.
Sorry mate, but there's something more than a little amusing about you calling me ignorant. Are you actually a Red?
What did u say "I could be wrong"? Werner's as much a Reds fan as Gary Neville. And I do know about LFC and NESV, evidently a fair bit more than you.
I know PL chairmen personally, and have been involved in potential takeovers too.

Back to NESV, " I could be wrong", well you ARE wrong. Lets see a net spend, lets see fan investment, lets see silverware and stadia, and no bluff and bluster from them. Nothing so far eh?
618
PS the Reds fan in the pr was actually some manager, not a partner, and fairly irrelevant to it all. {Ed001's Note - oh yes of course you were personally involved! Now that is funny. Actually the fan was defo one of the partners, give it a rest, stop dreaming and come back to planet earth.}

Ed as mch as I agree with you Ithink the Liverpool fan involved in nesv was a manager of one of the department in the Bston Red Sox from memory he was on sky saying how he had contacted his boss Werner to see if there was anything he could do.
However I do think this guy mouthing is an person and knows nothing and I would much prefer to take KK word and he says the Owners are fantastic and trusts them ompletely.
All eds keep up the good work u seem to know what you r talking about.

Lurgan Red

If the owners have kept quiet, it is because smart people know when to keep their mouth shut. Sometimes, the more you talk, the bigger the hole you dig for yourself (and your club).

*NEW*

KK has been with Neil Fewings (Darren Bents agent) today to finalize a deal.

An 18 million bid accepted and don't be too shocked if kuyt joins Villa.

Enough said for now.

LFC1

Yes, i can agree with this. Apparently a deal had been done for Bent before the transfer window, with only the formalities to finalize.

Mocco

Macca says no so you 2 are lying

No no no not going to happen

Somebody get this guy his own page

You are a very sad person to actually lie about this stuff, do you get some sort of thrill off it?

Just so you know, Kenny doesn't speak with agents or does any deals.
-=Solar=- {Ed001's Note - not quite true, he certainly spoke with Kenny Moyes and was deeply involved in the Charlie Adam deal.}

He never negotiates deals. This is what I'm saying.
He has personal relationships and connections in Scotland and other places. But he never does business.
-=Solar=-

Neil Fewings is also Jordan Hendersons agent and he was seen with him before.

And no i'm not lying, wait and see!

Speaking too a football agent m8 of mine the other day and he told me that he has offered Liverpool jarno anidaze a Georgian midfielder who plays for spartak Moscow, he's meant too be the next big thing! Not saying it will happen just passing on what iv been told! Also on a funnier note he said he offered lisandro Lopez to most pl clubs for around the €30 mill mark and the only club too reply was everton who asked if they could have him on loan!!

Mpc

Seeing as you pretty much announced who gave you the info, can you say who the agent is?

Welsh Steve

Wish we had half the cheek of Moyes. We should try for loans.

Ananidze is not being looked at any more.

have a german mate working in cologne, who says liverpool reps currently talking to cologne about possible transfer of Lucas Podolski. this guy is usually spot on with his shouts about german footy.

german red

Cant be speaking to cologna as it Koln?

Hopefully it is true

Not sure how talking to aftershave is going to help tbh.

Dont he play for fc khon? or sumting like that {Ed001's Note - FC Koln is Cologne.}

It's one and the same mate!

There will be lots of interest in this player. Would be a scoop if we got him.

05 Jan 2012 16:38:23
Hi ed(s), I just read an article about us possibly making an approach for mauro zarate of inter.. the article suggested it would be a loan move which leads me to believe it may be nonsense as loans are mostly uncommon though I suppose not out of the question either. I seem to recall rumours of interest in him a season or so ago but regardless of that do you know of any interest in at all at this moment in time?
Thanks, Chris Leigh. {Ed001's Note - I don't have anything regarding him one way or the other sorry.}

Zarate was accused of a fascist salute not the best player to loan at this present time

Was accused of a fascist salute do you thing he is a wise signing at this moment in time

Isn't he already on a season long loan at Inter ? how can they be allowed to loan a player who isn't theirs ? {Ed002's Note - The loan to buy deal has now been terminated so he is available.}

05 Jan 2012 16:01:36
Hi Ed,

Im not going to lie, theres so much speculation flying about and most of whcih is rubbish!, but in what ive heard, read tweets and been told, Darren Bent will join LFC on Januaray 12th, 19 millions plus Shelvey on loan for rest of season and with 4 million in extras dependant on goals and england caps.

You may not post this, but just wait, would be quality! {Ed001's Note - I think I should change the first part....}

In fairness Ed, he might not be lying - he could just believe some rubbish he's been slipped.

TSP

Why we waiting till the 12th wierd if that was the case.

Thats just awful kind of deal. lolz.

05 Jan 2012 15:37:31
Ed is there any interest in lisandro lopez of Lyon

Mickleburg {Ed002's Note - As he will not be for sale in January it seems most unlikely.}

05 Jan 2012 15:32:33
LFC are considering a transfer coup for Drogba, this is from a very very reliable source and if we can pull it off it would be fantastic

How could we match the 300-400 grand a week wages the teams in china are offering and i think hes well past it

It's been considered and is not happening

LFC1

Would take him on loan with CFC paying 80% of his wages. ha

Strength of an Ox and pain threshold of a lamb.... surely Liverpool don't need cheat that's past his best?

Must be true, as your source is doubly reliable /:oI

05 Jan 2012 15:29:34
Hi Eds, jut saw us linked with Mauro Zarate and I remember he played well in the premiership at Birmingham. Any truth in this?

Johnno {Ed002's Note - I know he may well be available - whether or not Liverpool have an interest I don't know.}

I thought he was on a season-long loan to Inter? Are they willing to cancel his loan Ed?

Kieran. {Ed002's Note - It was a loan with an option to buy that Ranieri has said will not be exercized, as such he will be made available by Lazio.}

So available in the summer as opposed to now or...? {Ed002's Note - Lazio don't want him so now. It would, I assume, be the same 17M euro to buy him.}

But he's already played for both teams this season so wouldnt be able to move :( {Ed002's Note - Serie A does n ot begin until after the transfer window closes so he can't have. Any friendlies, play offs etc do not count.}

05 Jan 2012 15:19:41
Is it possible that Diego Milito would be available since being somewhat overlooked of late for Inter? I am a huge fan and he might be available pretty inexpensively.....PROVEN goalscorer..... {Ed002's Note - He has been playing pretty regularly but might be available given his age.}

His form this season is awfull so much as he was voted the worst player in serie a.old father time has caught up with him.was once a great player

He had one good year under mourinho, and that was it. he will score less goal than carrol...

05 Jan 2012 15:19:40
Any truth in the rumours of interest in Stephane Sessegnon from your knowledge eds {Ed002's Note - Not as far as I know.}

No hes too good for you

Yes, there is some interest, as Sessegnon is rumoured to be unsettled at Sunderland, however Liverpool will face serious competition from Paris Saint-German and Marseille

05 Jan 2012 15:18:29
Since we have no money think we should sell out Carroll, Kuyt and bring in Bent & De Jong.

Since when have we had no money?
HWTK

What makes you think we have no money?

Kieran.

Maybe your confusing Liverpool with me? I have no money.

Who would buy Carroll

Former Liverpool Star Steve McMohan told me... he said we have no funds available.. He has good relations with the Club so there is some truth in it..

Sell Kuyt buy De Jong would be good.
Can't say that I remember Mcmohan

Can't see this happening unfortunately! I want nothing more than Carroll to score but.... Well we've all seen him play! Kenny will keep him until the summer, atleast. We will buy a striker and cdm to work with gerrard/ hendo/ adam and spearing, the latter being way out of his depth in the prem! Maxi will go soon although he is one of our best midfielders! Same with kuyt

We have more money than you think. we spent only 35m last year and got rit off a hole lot of wage bill. Liverpool will try buy in last second so they dont have that much competition from other clubs. like they did with suarez. :)

You are on the wrong page mate,we are owned by a consortium of mega rich Millionaires WE HAVE MONEY how we spend it is the question and another question which page are you supposed to be on Utd r Everton!!!!!!!!

"Liverpool will try to buy in last second so they don't have much competition from other clubs."

Not sure about that. The Suarez saga with bids going back and forth was all over the place. No secrecy really as the Ajax boss made it very public iirc.

Just heard later this week liverpool will bid 8.5mill for de jong

Who says we have no money to spend

05 Jan 2012 15:08:17
Darren Bent will NOT be coming to Anfield

Deano

Very happy cos he's not the kind of player will help us

The 'Unbelievable' and 'Believable' should be changed to, 'I hope so' and 'please god, I hope not' xD

He not for sale tight that
we need a good striker

Good! I don't like his playing style and he wouldn't fit in at Liverpool, we'd be better with Torres back in patnership with Suarez and Gerrard, we could go places!

05 Jan 2012 15:08:11
Hi Eds, following the recent comments of Jelavic, it appears he has paved the way to an Anfield move, how likely do you think this is to happen? Thanks Eds, love the site {Ed002's Note - Personally I would be surprised.}

05 Jan 2012 14:54:33
Last summer there was a lot of interest (allegedly) in marko Marin. Brilliant young attacking midfielder that can also play as a winger. Any idea if this interest has been rekindled or is this a definite no-go.

Cheers

Rob s {Ed002's Note - AC Milan, Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs, Napoli, Juventus and Roma have all shown an interest in Marko Marin in the past and I hear that Arsenal are interested at the moment. Much will depend on whether or not Liverpool make the Champions League as to whether he is a viable option or not; and the summer is a considerable distance away at present. Perhaps Italy is the most likely destination, and I understand his preferred destination.

05 Jan 2012 14:34:30
Been reading a few posts on here saying wish we had ngog back.

If my memory serves me correctly, when we sold him didn't we put a clause in his contract so we could buy him back for x amount?

I'm not suggesting we should but ED can you confirm this?

TIZER RED
{Ed002's Note - I don't know, sorry. But it is most unlikely.}

No thanks

If/when i read posts saying get ngog back, i just assume that person has never watched a football match and skip right past them posts, hes not good enough, and thats not being mean its being realistic.

Ngog is muck. We're well shot of him.

I would LOVE to have him back!

So people bitch about kks poor signings, yet they want DAVID NGOG back!!!! wtf

I agree that he's not good enough but don't contradict yourself by saying you skip right past posts like this when you have taken the time to comment!

Nice lad Ngog and good tryer “ but not good enough for the reds, one goal against the bitters don't make him great, we've already got a one goal agaist them striker¦.

Why not go the whole hog and make a triple-swoop for Poulsen, Voronin and and Degen aswell ?
ANFIELDPETE

Better than carrol anyday! atleast he does not affect how Liverpool play (hoofing odd balls to a donkey) and he can run but saying that he is average at best..

Ngog ha dont make me laugh i swear if he comes back to Anfield i'd probably hang myself he's slow he's S**T.

Carroll's better than Ngog. NGOG IS S**T. I would never have him back at Anfield we only bought him because we needed a striker, i want David Villa, Adam Johnson and Mesut Ozil.

05 Jan 2012 14:19:53
Hi there Eds. Whats all this then, must have missed something whats changed on the Luuk de Jong situation. He seemed the most likely for weeks now Ed002 says he doesnt see it happening. What changed? {Ed002's Note - I don't recall saying that I don't see Luuk De Jong happening at all. What I have explained since early October Liverpool have maintained an interest in Luuk De Jong. I have repeatedly said we don't know what will actually happen.}

I think he's referring to the post about Nigel de jong and diarra which also included luuk de jong. Ed002 was talking about Nigel and diarra not luuk

Well the wally with the brolly has gone back to FC Twente, so maybe Luuk will have to stay for the season.

Sorry Ed002 I miss read an earlier reply.

05 Jan 2012 14:01:34
Hi ed's great site, just wondering with lucas barrios falling out of favour at Dortmund , any chance we could go for him.

Cheers if you reply {Ed002's Note - Whilst I think it unlikely that would interested in moving from Dortmund to Liverpool, it is not totally out of the question that he could be available and Liverpool could bid. Wolfsburg, Espanyol and Sevilla are known to be interested. He has struggled to get back in the starting line-up after injury and does not seem happy with sitting on the bench. But I would expect Dortmund to be looking for a replacement striker as they already know that there is interest in Lewandowski and whilst they have their target set as Welliton I am not so sure they would let both players leave. I also think if he gets a run of games he will stop bleating and stay.}

Yet another 'unlikely' followed by a 'but it could happen'. It's like reading a rumour from Koptalk! {Ed002's Note - Well the Editors do their best to bring good information when asked. Clearly from your sending in anonymous snipes to this and other posts trolling for a response, it is not good enough for you.}

05 Jan 2012 13:31:37
Hi Eds

Do you know if we are looking at abel hernandez of palermo? (i know we are linked to alot of uruguayans for the obvious reasons) but from what im told, there may be something in it.

Cheers

Ray {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any interest from Liverpool at this time and I doubt he is available.}

He is AMAZING. I hope it's true but I doubt it. He'll be worth a fortune in a year or two.

He'll be in the top 10 players in the world within two years. Mark my words, he's the real deal. I may collapse with excitement if it happened, which is why I doubt it.

Him and Suarez.

Christ!

BJH YNWA.

Liverpool look to be winning the race for the signatures of Lukas Podolski and Gaston Ramierez!

Only if that race is an egg and spoon race...

Uhhh a funny man....wait and see pumpkin...wait and see

05 Jan 2012 13:19:30
Ed,
Is Damiao a possibility in this window? I know several teams are having him watched like Spurs, Arsenal and clubs in Spain and we have watched him several times.. Also, if you had a preference, him or Soldado, who will you choose?
KBT
{Ed002's Note - Leandro Damiao seems to be of interest to several clubs at the moment not least AC Milan who want him to replace Cassano but need to free up a non EU quota spot to buy him. Spurs and Arsenal have apparently have taken a look recently as have Porto and PSG. His agent is talking up offers but that will probably not be anything to do with transfer fees, just possible wages. Over the summer there was also interest from Juve, Roma, Lyon, Sporting Lisbon and Barcelona have shown some interest in the past two months. Juventus may push for a January transfer but I don't see him moving before perhaps January 2013.}

05 Jan 2012 13:15:58
Hey ed, do u think the likes of downing n adam will be given one more season to prove themselves even if they continue playin crap? Is gerrard expected to start against oldham? Wud be good match practice for him.
Indian Buzzer {Ed002's Note - I remain astonished how little support the Liverpool players get from the fans. I have no idea how much longer their "crap" play will be tolerated I am afraid. I would have though there there is very little chance of Gerrad starting against Oldham.}

Does no one learn from the abuse they gave Lucas? and what a player he is now! we are supporters so lets keep on supporting them. YNWA

How can you say they've been crap?
yes downing hasn't statistically got a goal or assist but he is involved in many goals and he's hit the woodwork so many times. Adam started the season brilliantly, was playing really well up until a week or so ago just before xmas, i think he is just suffering from fatigue and hasn't been given enough rest. Support the team as a whole and we'll soon be back to winning ways and downing will get some goals and assits!
YNWA

I think to call some of the aforementioned player 'crap' lacks a bit of class. We should all support our players regardless of their current form. I do believe that those two player have been particularly poor over the last few games and lack end product (Downling was decent in 1st half vs City though).

There is no need to slate a player when mentioning other players that you want to bring in. It is highly unlikely that Lpool will get rid of either player after they singed long-term contracts in the summer. Adam's set piece delivery and Downing's final ball has been embarrisingly poor throughout the majority of the season.

I continue to be astonished every time the very limited view of one fan is taken as the view of all Liverpool fans.
{Ed002's Note - It is not the view of just one fan though. If you look to these pages after a draw or loss the fans will vent about players, the manager, the referee, the Eds, the FA, the conspiracy against the club, the price of petrol at motorway services ...}

Unfortunately many users (you know who you are) of this website are not representative of lfc fans elsewhere. They are quick to criticise players and expect success to be handed to them and don't realise it takes time to build success, hence the constant "when are we signing Hazard?" posts (answer NEVER).

Whilst there does seem to be a lot of negative comments towards the majority of our summer signings on this site i don't think that many genuine fans feel that way.Players,regardless of cost or reputation can take time to settle into a new club something i think Charlie Adam has done pretty well in my opinion.I can understand some of the negativity towards Downing on here but i feel he has certainly shown glimpses of his undoubted talent.As for Hendo,he was always going to be one for the future and he is improving week on week.I know we all want CL but it was never going to be easy with 6 teams chasing 4 places and the vast improvement at Spurs is making it look like there is only 1 place left with 3 clubs fighting it out one of which is us.So come on lets get behind our team there are still 18 games to go. {Ed028's Note - An example of why we should support the new players through thick and thin - Lucas Leiva}

Fans a entitled to complain about poor performances, we are the ones who pay are very limited funds to watch these players. IMO Charlie Adam is playing especially bad and I beginning to think he was a mediocre player in a bad side. Stuart downing tho is taking some unfair critism, he is a class act and will come good. And I find it hard to believe you all wouldn't jump at the chance of swapping Carroll for an actual footballer. It's a fans right to critise players, team, manager, owners and the price of petrol.

Usually after a draw or a loss I am sure Chelsea fans, Arsenal fans, United fans or City fans are full of praise for their players and managers. A computer is like a gun, ed. If you leave it around when people are emotional, bad things will happen. Are you emotional today?

Canadian Fan {Ed002's Note - No other fans are as scathing as the Liverpool fans. Why should I be emotional today? Because of Eusabio's birthday, no.}

Its the new breed of supporters coming through (even Liverpool ones.) We have always been loyal and true to our players and I feel that 80% of the supporters are still rock solid behind all LFC players. I feel that Liverpool fans are the most knowledgeable fans in the league so for the young pups coming through, give the team, the manager and the board a chance to prove themselves. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Ed002 really shouldn't visit the Manutd section of this site if Liverpool fans are the most scathing. After yesterdays match there was a mob on there ready with pitch forks and torches to round up the entire team and take them to the ol' hangin' tree..... scary stuff

Put Downing on the left for a few matches,Kenny,and then if he does not deliver,we may have a point.

Us liverpool fans are always slating our our players n managers but sumtimes there right eg,signings made by gh,raffa,now kenny ,managers will get iy wrong sumtimes but when they sepnd over 10m on a player they should know for sure what they are getting eg,,alonso,mash,torres,and on smaler budget players there will always be hit n miss eg,reina,luis garcia,arbeola, then the others,nunez,josemi,paletta,morenties,gonzalez,but thing is kenny has spent big money on players eg ,downing,carroll, who shouldnt have needed time to attapt to prem and in my opinion is that no matter how much we love our club we will know that they were bad buys for the price we paid but on the other hand kenny brought in adam enrique,henderson,bellamy,coates where i think hes done good buisness for the club,in nsigning cheap players under 8 million who are good that will do well ,so support our players and managers through the hard times and we will come our stronger instead of joining in the media hate mob who hate to c us do well eg in the raffa days and put pressure on him and the club

I think the only fans who are "entitled" to complain about performances are the ones that pay to go to the matches. Internet critics have no justification in criticising. It's always easy to be an armchair critic, I think Downing, Adam and Henderson will all be class players for LFC and then these critics will eat their words!
Nigel

We, the liverpool fans have the right to criticise our players: we pay good money to watch football in skysports, we pay the money to see them play in action at anfield and away also for the increasignly high petrol prices..., and we get emotional because we want our team to do well and especially spending 110 million we should be acheiving champion league qualification... However our team has not been consisistent with the results especially at home, kenny has spend a large amount of money on "homegrown english players" but true be told they have not delivered.
Adam - is very slow at mildfield, his corssings, freekicks, penalty are dissappointing, Henderson - he is improving however he is still not worthy to be the starting 11, he still lacks creativity, he looks like a crab in the pitch passing backwards and sidewards afraid to pass forwards, Downing - been playing good in some matches but 0 goals and 0 assist tells you alot, and Carrol - unfortunality for him, but he will never be a world class player and dunno why he is worth 35 mill where he need players to deliver balls for him, he has a very bad touch that makes 16 yr olds look like messi and disturb liverpool play!
The only players that were "good buys" were enrique and saurez both been consistent.
With players like Bellamy, Maxi in the bench are have been performing very well for the club, we still wonder why kenny still picks his underperforming players?

Bet you weren't calling them crap after the newcastle game...most liverpool fans are the worst "supporters" in the world , think they know bloody everything.. most haven't got a clue about real football and should stick to playing footy manager games. lfcfan

F*** you ed002, self righteous Chelsea c**t. {Ed002's Note - I thought you were going to share my agenda with everyone rather than resort to this little spat. You accused me of dissing (I understand that to be the hip term) the working class and were going to share your means to spot someone who is working class from an anonymous post. I appreciate that you were upset and cried a lot last year when I outed Kenny Huang, but please we do not want another little tantrum again.}

How can we get rid of some crap supporters from Liverpool? Sadly, you can't sell or loan them....

05 Jan 2012 13:05:30
Eds,
If in any case Suarez is to go, the only club I can see froking out the cash for a player 1 year through a 5 year deal is Real Madrid. However, do you think a swap deal with Higuin could be on the cards? Really dont want to see Luis going but if thats what the club want...
D16 Red {Ed002's Note - I don't see any deal involving Higuain but Liverpool may wish to suggest it.}

So does that mean that Luis Suarez could potentially be leaving this window?

Higuains dad (his agent) said onky last week higuan isnt leaving . He was offered double the money at chelsea but he doesnt want to leave he wants to stay at madrid. Also mourinho has said he hasnt asked to buy anyone and doesnt want to see anyone leave he wnts to finish the season with all the players he started with is what he said

Now you've done it Ed002 - wait for the millions of posts you will get about asking how you know about swapping Suarez and Higuain!! Feel for you man!

Ed2 is a chelsea supporter, and along with all EPL ( exc. LFC) want Luis to leave our club cos they know what a good player he is.

05 Jan 2012 13:03:14
Hey eds, just read that PSG are interested in signing Honda... Do you think that this may reignite liverpools interest in the player. I hear he is having a good season in Moscow {Ed002's Note - Liverpool were very interested at one time but may have blown their chance of Honda last January when he was available for about £8M. I don't see why Liverpool's interest would return because of what is happening in Paris. During the mid-season in Russia, Wolfsburg and Juventus were interested in Honda but the player said he wanted to move to Spain and the 25M euro asking price put them off. Recent enquiries for the player have been from PSG, Sevilla and Palermo but given the player has been out injured much of the time since September so his season has not been that good. I am not so sure he will be moving this winter, particularly given CSKA may need him in the spring, and when he does move I would guess at PSG being the best option or perhaps the Iberian peninsula. Thoughts about a move to Arsenal come up occasionally as well.}

05 Jan 2012 12:54:23
Hi. eds
do you know if we have sufficient funds in this window. if we do what positions do you think we need more strength in ? . I think we need a striker ( with pace and a good finisher) and a right winger( who can score goals and deliver quality crosses ). i would to see marco reus of Borussia Dortmund and Lukas Podolski {Ed002's Note - Sufficient funds is very subjective so I cannot answer that. Reus only joined Dortmund yesterday, I would expect this is just a little early to be making a move.}

Are you sure ed002 that dortmund cant be tempted into a deal after 1 day you never know they might not like his fashion sense or taste in music if we was to offer them an extra fiver on what they paid you never know
giblet

05 Jan 2012 12:40:26
Hey Ed are we interested in Nacer Chadli of PSV? Sorry if it's a Repost

Daniel Rogers. {Ed002's Note - I recall he was to move to Fulham but without checking cannot say why he didn't.}

He plays for FC Twente. He didn't move to Fulham 'cause he injured his knee and was 6 months out. {Ed002's Note - Thanks for that.}

05 Jan 2012 12:08:45
reports circling in east london suggest that mark noble is potentially on his way to lfc in a 6 million deal...

05 Jan 2012 12:06:21
Hey Eds,
I know the situation with Luuk De Jong that we've scouted but nothing is definite yet, but what about Nigel De Jobg on loan until the summer? Very strong defensive minded defender, can easily fill the gap until Lucas returns. Or failing that would there be a chance of Diarra on loan?

Cheers
77chris {Ed002's Note - I really don't see either arriving.}

Diarra has actually been playing quite frequently for Madrid. If we do get him on loan it would be quite a coup.

PITSILFC {Ed002's Note - Lassano Diarra is playing fairly regular at Real Madrid but still may be moving in January or the summer. Anzhi have made a very significant offer but I understand Roma are very interested in the player and the player is open to a move to Rome.}

Hey ed is it true that suarez will leave!? When he said in his statement on Tuesday that he can't wait to walk out at Anfield again! cheers {Ed001's Note - nothing is set in stone, it is just as much a case of if we will sell him anyway.}

When he says walk out . most like means back onto the pitch after his ban ??

You have all miss understood me i don't mean walk out on Liverpool i meant anfield to play football for lfc sorry boy

Lfc won't sell saurez

Firstly great job ed's. Has there been any confirmed Liverpool interest in Aiden McGeady? Surely he's perfect for the clubs transfer profile requirements? YNWA {Ed001's Note - no recent interest that I know of.}

Mcgeady is nowhere near good enough. Tricky n quick final ball n finishing poor.

McGeady is 26 next birthday ......... how does that fulfil our transfer profile ?

If he could improve his final ball he would be a good choice but just dont see how he would bring anything extra to the team

McGeady is a 26 year old showpony who wouldn't count as home-grown. Doesn't fit our 'transfer profile' at all.

Eds, do you think you could possibly enlighten me as to what players we have shown a decent level of interest in regarding the Bundesliga? There seems to be a wealth of talent randomly appearing in Germany and would be interesting to know who we've been watching. Thanks. {Ed001's Note - hard to say with any certainty, we have our own, and other people's, ideas of who the main targets are, but no one is 100% sure. We have scouted Dortmund, Koln, Hannover, Leverkusen and Wolfsburg a number of times, that I am sure of. Though we could have been there watching their opponents or them, the fact that it has been repeated visits to those 5 suggests they have players we want. I am told Kagawa and Podolski are definitely among the players we are looking at, that came as totally separate information, but obviously ties in with the teams we have had watched. I am also told there are at least 5 other Bundesliga sides we are watching and we have been to take a look at the sides that were relegated last season, no doubt to have a look and see if they have any players worth having to get on the cheap.}

Thanks for the reply. I think both Podolski and Kagawa would be excellent signings if they were to happen. Although Podolski had a poor time at Bayern Munich which may suggest he struggles to cope with the pressure of a high profile club week in week out or he was used incorrectly at the club.
However, there is no denying that they are quality players and it's refreshing to know that we're interested in foreign talent, from other leagues as the last window, only Coates and Doni were foreign league signings and they're only backups at the minute.

Thanks again for the info. {Ed001's Note - you are very welcome mate.}

05 Jan 2012 11:09:04
They are talking about Granero in US. Do you know something about it? {Ed002's Note - Surplus to requirements in Madrid, could interest any number of clubs and may be used as a makeweight in a transfer. Only solid interest at this time has been from Blackburn Rovers and Sevilla but unsubstantiated rumours have linked him to Liverpool and Espanyol as well.}

05 Jan 2012 11:20:03
Sky sports reporting that arsenal chavski tottingham villa Newcastle and Liverpool are keeping tabs on n'zonzi.

Decent defensive midfield player

Drake ovxo

Hes s**te if we get him it will be a waste of our time and his time. he is not good enough!

05 Jan 2012 11:00:47
ed, any interest in oliver giroud? looks a better option than some of the strikers being mentioned. {Ed002's Note - It was expected that Giroud would stay within France with a move to PSG but performances this season have seen Valencia, Newcastle, Villarreal, Arsenal and particularly Malaga show an interest. Nicollin discussed the interest in the player saying Newcastle were too minor a club and Arsenal would have to pay 50M euros, if not 60M euros for the player.}

05 Jan 2012 10:52:29
just been informed that conner coady is heading to wba as part of a deal taking chris brunt to anfield!

Chris Brunt... seriously he has been off form this season and the only place i can see him starting in on the bench.

Chris Brunt a left sided midfielder who is way inferior to Adam so why we'd sign him is a total mystery to me.

You mean coady on loan then? i will say 1000000% we would not sell him. He is 17 / 18 making excellent progress and has been captain of every level he has played in - he is the main part of our next generation, a loan move would be great but to sell him is just ridiculous.
Big Red Man

Maybe the ed's can confirm but wasnt brunt injured recently. looked serious from what i remember. but as we are signing villa, it is possible i suppose.....

Tomkop7 {Ed002's Note - Maybe you could Google it?}

Chris Brunt has broke his leg and will be out for at least 10 games!

I'm just told a Darren Bent bid from Chelsea is imminent , they are set to loose Drogba.
Liverpool like the player but wont meet the valuation Villa have.

Hope so!

My prays have been answered. Now time to get serious and get a real striker

Good Liverpool cannot meet the price because he is a very slow player . We already have Carrol as ultra slow we do not need another one.

Thank god for that

What Bent is slow ahha he is one of the fastest in PL and he is a goal machine one problem in Bent is that he don't run so much .

05 Jan 2012 09:46:36
Ed..Are we watching Daren Bent? 18 mill seems a huge money for a 27 year old guy..
he doesnt run much..neither he is strong in air..but he does score goals...he is a clonical finisher..
But Ed if ae about to pay more than 20 mill for him..like downing...y cant we get soldado...25 mill..but he is worth..and the idea candidate for the no.10...
he is the best in europe now...absolute fabulous striker..like torres was wen he came to pool..
with him and suarez and gerrard...we could score plenty..?

Ed what u think about Defoe? we could get him under 10 mill..now lets be honest..he is a goal scoring machine..and he want ot gte out spurs..and we can give him a starting place every game..
also what are the developments in Luke de jong..i have seen him couple of times...he seems kool finisher..and calm and cmoposed front of the goal...

Ed need your reply....... {Ed002's Note - We know of no interest in Darren Bent from Liverpool. Defoe wants to stay high profile and play regularly to make sure he gets a Euro place. I understand his concern is that at Spurs he is not starting games. So if Liverpool can give him a start, and want him, and make a bid, then I guess something could be done.}

Ed. defoe seems a good option..he wil lcome cheap and he is a natural goal scorer..we can give him starting plce..since we dont have any one to score goals..he is about 30 ..but we could get two good years from him....i always liked him...he could score goals from anywhere..and he is currently doing that from spurs...we should really bid for him...
and what bout luke de jong?..whats his situation? are we considering a bid...we should be very careful.. {Ed002's Note - Tee situation with De Jong remains that there is interest from Liverpool and others. WE will have to wait to see if a bid is made.}

Defoe? He's overrated! His goalscoring record isnt really that good. In 9 seasons he has only scored over 10 goals in 4 of them... Not that impressive :o

05 Jan 2012 09:41:34
Liverpool are willing to meet the £18mil valuation for Darren Bent. Aston Villa will look to replace him with Wolves striker Kevin Doyle.

05 Jan 2012 07:43:55
Suarez is set to leave this window.
Dont like it my self
Hope the info is wrong

Deano

If you don't like it & are hoping the info is wrong, why on earth post it?

What kind of person/friend would he be to Coates if he did that? Coates was playing for a great team in Uruguay and was a star. he decided to come to Liverpool knowing he would sit the bench, partially because he had a good friend here in Suarez. if Suarez leaves, then Coates is high and dry, not playing at all, and one of the few connections he had at LFC and the main person who convinced him is now gone. I can't believe Suarez would do that to him. I hope he won't. {Ed002's Note - It would not make any difference. Clubs cannot decide who they buy and who they sell based upon friendships in the team.}

ED002 - you have made no comment on the rumour itself - which I believe is utter tosh...

RobbehLFC. {Ed002's Note - If you mean about Suarez leaving, I have answered that elsewhere. It basically depends on how the owners feel about the whole mess and how they are getting on smoothing things over, and how the player feels himself. We will see. The owners also have a PR company trawling all available sources to guage reaction.}

Of course everyliverpool hater wants suarez out of epl. If pr will decide it then its very easy to get suarez out.

Over rated anyway i think

Please dont leave me friend i cant play without you lol

Coates

Absolutely ridiculous if true. We'll be lucky to finish 7th if he leaves.

Gotcha ED002'

Cheers.

RobbehLFC

P.S) Hoping this is nonsense, small forward steps will do, but backwards steps isn't what we're looking for. I can't see KD wanting to sell 'number 7'.

Altho Suarez doesn't wear the number 10 shirt, I'm tempted to say he's the best "number 10" we've ever had. All he needs is games, and good players around him. I'm sure he's ahead of Dalglish and Keegan at the same age.

If Suarez does go, then its clear NESV just saw him as a potential profit from day one. Which is pretty much what Moneyball is all about.

If that happens then the soul of our club is dead. Its as simple as that. Even Hicks didnt have the neck to sell our star man Torres. {Ed001's Note - how is the soul of our club gone? We have always been willing to sell, Souness, Keegan, Rush. The soul of the club is to all pull together, as a team, that is dead because most of the fans are more interested in who they can whine about after every game. That is not the owners fault though. If Suarez goes, it is because they feel him staying is more damaging to the club than him staying.}

If Suarez goes then we must remember that no 1 player is bigger than the team. We've lost key players before and replaced them well. If he goes then i'd imagine it'd be down to a decision made by the board/owners. Suarez will want to prove himself after his ban ends.

Hans

Can I ask both EDs regarding this Suarez situation. Neither of you has eradicated the chance of him leaving and ED001 has mentioned it being more 'damaging' to the club for him to stay, whilst ED002 has mentioned that his possible sale is down to PR and such forth.

My question is how / where have you got this 'feeling' or 'info' from? Is it reliable? Common sense or guesswork?

Also is the reason behind this possible sale because they actually believe Suarez's comment towards Evra to be validated as racist or is this unrelated?

Also to play devils' advocate surely A) It would be much more damaging to sell a player of Suarez's ability with regards to Liverpool's chances of success and B) Bad PR in terms of shirt sales to foreign countries (Asia, etc).

Cheers EDs,

RobbehLFC {Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with being racist - there is no question of that. The owners have a reputation to maintain; the club need sponsorship; the club have a reputation to be maintained. All of these are potentially compromised. A PR firm in Hartford, CT is using staff to collect, guage and report feedback on the issue from all media sources available including various forums. It is really not a matter for speculation and I would much rather let it drop and wait to see what happens.}

Cheers for the logical explanation and update ED002.

I'm not 100% up on the PR side of things but some of that seems to make sense...Journalism degrees are useful for some things I guess.

Regards,

RobbehLFC

This really is crap, but alas the way people like NESV work. CT pr firms know NOTHING about how to run a British football club.

I'm gonna be mailing our sponsors and the corrupt FA's to tell them I won't be supporting them because LFC's best player is being persecuted.

Problem-reaction-solution, NESV can't wait to pocket the Suarez cash. They just don't want to make us a team at the top of the food chain. Much like Hick's asset stripping, just via a different method.

Who's our star player gonna be? Jay Spearing..? {Ed002's Note - I am guess you either did not read or perhaps you did not understand the post. Liverpool is not being run by a PR firm from Connecticut. Anyway, no doubt the owners and sponsors will be pleased to hear from you.}

Hans
Its utterly wrong to say that we've replaced our top players in the past.
Souness's sale left a gaping gap for a long time.
How about Xabi, Masch, McManaman, Torres etc?
Spearing, Adam, Carroll are hardly fit to be spoken about in the same sentence vs these players..
The NESV apologists cry that we cant attract good players, and guess what ?NESV wanna sell Suarez, one of the world's great players, cos Ferguson and the corrupt FA want to cause spite.

NESV dont wont to sell him kenny dont wont him gone and he proberly dosent wont to go but some things just need to happen some times,like leeds cantana sort of thing

Deano

Sorry meant dont WANT not wont
long day lol
Deano

If the owners sell Suarez, it will not be to make a buck, but because they feel that is the best option to prevent further damage to the club's image and reputation. Do we really want to put up with the chants like the one at the City game, week in week out? At the end of the day, reputation counts for more than anything.

05 Jan 2012 04:09:40
According to Daily Nanban @ Villa agreed 18m deal for Bent. But wont release the player until get replacement striker. Villa now looking for Drogba as Bent replacement. You heard it here first.

18 mil dream on liverpool fan it would take nearer 30 mil it's not going to happen

Bent is a proven mid table striker where he is the focal point of the team. Not worth 18m, but is English and Kenny's kind of player. Lets see if he can become more clincal as thats whats needed at big clubs (why he failed at Tottenham)

ITs been on walkon.com for a while now

No way they would go for Drogba either they couldn't afford his wages.

This story has been around for weeks now. Personally I do not think we want or need Bent and as for suggesting he is worth 30mill, what a joke .

£30mil, I wouldn pay £10mil. And why would they go for Drogba when he will be playing in the African Nations Cup? I would rather see one of our kids step up than spend that much money on a waste of space.

Thought this was about LFC rumours or have I got the wrong web site ????

It is about LFC rumours you idiot, read the original post. Was it even worth writing that ??

Lowe bent..im tired of kenny keep wanting british talent there useless...if rafa was in charge he wuda bort top class players from spain and rite now we would have bin fightin for the title

05 Jan 2012 04:06:55
I have also heard a move for LuuK De Jong is close. DC I have heard is or going to be in Holland. Where he is I am nun the wiser, although a KLM flight out of John Lennon departs early morning today at 6:10 so if anyone wants to stalk him fine by me. I have also heard that LFC want Gaston Ramirez more now than the summer however Bologna looks to be setting up a biddin war obviously, however we are ahead of Juve as we have had talks, however less see if they put the money on the table.. As for Darren Bent whoever thought of that should be shot.

I really hope we get Luuk de jong, he is class... for bargin price :)

05 Jan 2012 03:26:50
Hi Eds. Is there any truth in us been linked with Robbie Keane on a 2 month loan deal? He is also been linked with Villa and Celtic. He is training with spurs at the moment. He could be worth a shot but his very high wages might be a problem. {Ed001's Note - nope.}

How are wages a problem? To have someone who has a good scoring record in england for 2 months even if he is on like 80 grand a week that is still on under 1 million pounds. Which means we get him for less than a million without paying him {Ed002's Note - He will not be moving to Liverpool.}

05 Jan 2012 03:00:35
Bent is a done deal according to Mark Lawerson was told before the Man City game on BBC radio

Man i think that Bent is an average player, and this managment move says it all, just poor judgment, not optimistic :) btw great site

05 Jan 2012 02:29:16
Ssn breaking news:un named premier league club make 16.5 m bid for Darren bent

Because teams make bids at 3:30 in the morning?!

Bent is going to Man U

I dont understand why "LFC Fans" feel the need to lie about transfer stories to other fans?

I just hope, its not us.

Can't be us then, we have a name: Liverpool FC

Unnamed is Liverpool then?

Who say's it's LFC fans?

05 Jan 2012 02:30:54
Eds, do we have any interest in Elia of Juventus? I used the search function but could not find anything.
Also, will the manager situation at FC Twente have any effect on the possibility of Luuk de Jong? {Ed001's Note - we had past interest in him, but I believe we have moved on from Elia. It is difficult to say, it could make De Jong think now would be a good time to move on, or it could make him wait and see how the rest of the season goes under the new guy.}

05 Jan 2012 02:04:42
was talking to craig bellamy's father...in the pub...apparently we are keeping tabs on adam mathews of celtic...any truth? {Ed001's Note - yes.}

Does that mean were going to sell Glen Johnson? {Ed001's Note - he is available for transfer, yes.}

Certainly hope so he's a terrific RB who should fit in perfectly, Rumour also has it that Harry Redknapp is keen on Glen Johnson

I think we need a right back. Martin Kelly, John Flanagan and Glen Johnson are not enough, they are bad (irony can be used)

Jeez this is unbelievable. I know more about Adam Matthews than anyone on this forum, I suspect. And he is NOT Liverpool standard. There again, how far have our standards dropped.
Matthews is carp, couldn't get in a Championship Cardiff team, and he's linked with 5x European Cup Winners.
Hmmm....

What about martin kelly & robinson??

You know more about adam matthews than anyone else ? no you dont, how much spl footy do you watch ? i see him week in and week out and he is a great player, who will only get better, plus his throw ins are like corners !

More accurately, Welsh football. He didn't play for nigh on a season in his last yr at Cardiff. Appalling attitude, poor defending, moderate attacking... for a fullback. Are Cardiff Liverpool's superiors now?

His throw ins are like corners?
Looks like KK wants more supply for Carroll. Something like Delap's long throws I guess.

PITSILFC

Maybe we should buy Delap then? Not.

Why would we need another right back as we have johnson kelly and flanaghan? load of old tosh

05 Jan 2012 01:22:41
any truth in the rumour about anthony pilkington of norwich? heard kd and pl chatted at length on new years eve!

05 Jan 2012 01:11:49
Heard a rumour that apparently Liverpool are 100% interested in Darren Bent but are not willing to pay more than £18mil for him.

05 Jan 2012 01:10:05
3 players that we want in in this January window are, Lukas Podolski (recent developments between him and his club have made him available again), Eljero Elia (on loan then to a permament deal in the summer, not enjoying it in italy, Kuyt could end up going the other way to Juve) and Nathan Dyer from Swansea, (has impressed down their right hand side this season).

I have no doubt that Podolski is of interest but I can't see him moving in January, not with the Euros on the horizon. He wouldn't dare but his current form in jeopardy by moving to another country and trying to settle in to a new league and new surroundings when he will want to be one hundred per cent focussing on Germany. Just my thoughts but money talks and you never know.

I saw in Sky Sport News that Lucas Podolski was not at traning I think he is going in another club I wish he comes to Liverpool

Dyer...seriously i think we can find someone with more experience in top flight European football

Podolski would be in that german squad no matter what, as long as he's fit, that wont be an issue. Just the kind of player we need. I think we could get him. Bent for 24 mil? Or podolski for 17-22 mil? Power and pace and works hard. Elia, power and pace and can play left, right or central! Dyer, pacey, gets the ball in, works hard. We're crying out for more direct, quick players in and around the last 3rd!

You had me going there for bit until you said Dyer

Dyer would be the cheaper jan option for now to add to the right hand side. Its about getting in the top 4 this season and he's been terrific in the prem this season. If we then get top 4 a couple more expensive, more experienced additions would be made in the summer. If you haven't noticed we're not playing european football this season.

Apparently Damien Comolli is heading out to Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam tonight.... De Jong perhaps??

HWTK

Lets hope so,we need improving,BIGTIME !! :)

De Jong lives in Cheshire you doughnut, why go all the way to Amsterdam. #go to bed.

Either the bloke above is joking or hasnt got a clue who we are talking about, there are more than one de jong

You bloody dope he means Luuk De Jong not Nigel!

He obviously means Luuk De Jong you plum.

If he lives in Cheshire thats a long commute. Do your own homework first.

Haha Cheshire , I'd assume he meant Luuk De Jong ( possibly Siem De Jong )

Certainly not Nigel

To the poster reffering to Cheshire-You are thinking of a different De Jong. Get your thinking cap on and then come back. :)

He means Luuk De Jong of F.C. Twente, not Nigel De Jong of Man City haha

Phill

Did you check him in to his flight?

Is this actually true or is it just twitter rubbish?

Comolli is a closet hippie, thats all

Kim JONG Ill ?

ed any interest in yann m'vila i know he would cost loads but defo worth it.ive watched him for france possibly the new makelele.DORSET RED {Ed002's Note - Inter, Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City, Juventus, Genoa and perhaps Liverpool & Chelsea showed an interest or enquired about M'Vila this past summer. M'Vila will almost certainly not move until the summer. A very significant bid from Manchester City has already been turned down. With that offer that was made for M'Vila in the summer Rennes have upped their valuation of the player to an extent where Creachcadec has said no Italian team can aford M'Vila. I would expect that there may be interest in him from PSG, Barcelona and possibly Real Madrid by the time he comes up for sale in the summer. I would be astonished if M'Vila moved in January, but his agent is telling clubs that there is a clause in his contract that can invoke a release for a single 20M euro payment to Rennes and then he is looking to negotiate a signing on fee as well.}

I guess that rules him out of a move to us then.fine player mind.DORSET RED

The Players I was told we are more than likely to sign are the following:
Luuk De Jong or Jelavic
Gaston Ramirez - King is very high on him. 1 of the following 3- Gary Cahill or Coloccini or Samba
Unlikely but he is out there. R. Montolivo

3 players we looked at but do not have their interest they are all gonna be really good.
Luis Caballero - Young and quality
Leandro Damiao- does not want a Liverpool move, so sad he is amazing!
Dede- this defender is Brazil next best.
Eduardo Vargas- Not good but gonna be one of the top 50 p-layers throughout Europe!
Teo Gutierrez- He would be a Solid Partner with Suarez!
Hairy Yank.

Luuk De Jong and Jelavic is for liverpool.................

Is Hairy Yank any good? How much is he likely to cost?

Gav

I can drink pints real well.. I don't really like to run much. Although if she is good looking i will. I might have a few hour trial with her. Cheers to Us getting a real run at 4th!

Da Hairy Yank...

Expect Kuyt out £6 million to turkey.

Steven fletcher will sign £10 million.

I hope, its not right with Fletcher atleast. He isn't good enough.

Hi eds, is it true that DC is heading over to schiphol airport ?
JW91 {Ed001's Note - unfortunately 006, who was meant to be following him everywhere in January for us, has allowed DC to give him the slip. So we don't know right now, but we do know we are looking for a new spy....}

Ed007 should've been your spy ;) no pun intended of course...

YNWA! (Adam) {Ed001's Note - hopalong? No chance mate, DC would have only had to break into a brisk walk to lose him!}

Hopalong? haha, am i missing an inside joke here? Poor Ed007!
The names along, hop along.

YNWA! (Adam) {Ed001's Note - he has pics up on one of the sites, I think it is the health one, of his ankle, he has recently had major surgery on it.}

Suarez will go this summer the ban will be up held Madrid intrested with player plus cash deal.
===================================
Noticed the above post on the banter pages, it was posted a good 16 hours before Liverpool announced they wont be appealing ..
It had 41 unbelievable and 11 replies which almost all discredited the poster and his support calling him all kind of names as if they knew better ..
Well the ban part is proved right , and from what I hear the Madrid/Spain part is a very strong possibility ..
Also Bent .. dont dis him, because in a few weeks you might be supporting him like you support Carroll ..

Roy

Depends what your interpretation of "upheld" is... Too many could mean FA would not have budged if LFC appealed...
Redish

Im not understandin this? the ban is 8 games, which means he could be back in february, but yet he will be sold to Madrid in the summer and the ban upheld by them? even tho it will be long over by then and he would have played more games for Liverpool, i think that shows how made up this story is.

Carb

Is that you, Mr. Hodgson??

Suarez out Bent in ? Unthinkable.Won't happen.

If Luis is pushed out, thats the end for me supporting LFC / "LFC Sports Ventures".

30 odd years. My view has always been that they seem him as an asset to sell at a profit ie don't give a xxxx about us fans..
Annoy him enough with lack of support and they think he'll put in a transfer.
Its shocking

I agree with you, this is just total crap

Stop spreading panic Mr Hodgson. Youre the most downbeat, pessimistic person I know of - i've never seen you praise our team or players or be even slightly positive about future prospects anf transfer dealings under Kenny.

What's worse is the gullible fools who believe him in the reply section. Threatening to stop supporting the club because of the sale of one player - really? Good riddens, the sooner you're gone the better.

Martin

One player? Lets try Xabi, Masch and Arbeloa ( Keane cash never spent) under G&H.
Then Nando, Aqua, Mereiles under NESV.
So we let Luis go as well?
I support LFC as a fooball club, NOT a sleazy profitmaking venture.
Real fans don't like to take it up the xxxx from snakeoil salesmen masquerading as "soccer fans".

Two really good arguments xD

I'm with the lad who said real fans don't turn their backs despite one player being sold.

Not that I wouldn't think that would make someone a 'real' fan, because that's a different football team.

RobbehLFC.

Hold on hold on, is it not true that xabi masch arbeloa Torres aqua and merielles wanted out? Where's the point in keeping players that won't give 100%? aqua couldn't handle PL merielles wanted to work with AVB Nando said he was lied to, xabi wanted out after rafa tried to sell him, real madrid being biggest club in his hole nation he's obviously going to go, masch appoligized after the European cup final against united which proved he wanted out... How's that down to Liverpool football club? And it's owners? Come on, wake up stop moaning and support the club!

04 Jan 2012 23:27:35
LFC willing to let Kuyt and Carroll go.

LFC want Soldado, Sessegnon and Hoilett, these are the first choices. We feel Gerrard, Spearing, Adam, Henderson, Shelvey will be enough till the summer, Henderson will stay in CM from now on because we will have more attacking options.

De Jong and Ramirez looking good for the summer, long term replacements for Kuyt and Maxi, who will also be off but in the summer.
