Eds. I would like your opinion on rhian brewster and what we do with him next season.
Clearly there is not a lot of money to spend but i feel we need a good backup striker. I think he's got a record of a goal in every 2 games for Swansea and from What i saw of todays goal he looks a very instinctive player. So would you leave him on loan or bring him back and have him as a backup rather than origi?

{Ed002's Note - It is a case of whether or not he will get enough game time at Liverpool. Otherwise another loan to Swansea would do him a lot of good.}

Thanks ed. I hope if it is another loan I'd like us to have the chance to bring him in the winter transfer window if he's banging in goals. While i like origi and will his place in fans memories for a while but i don't think he's the answer and would be good to see if brewster is upto the necessay standard.

{Ed002's Note - That is extremely difficult to do and would likely mean that Swansea would need to breach the agreement.}

Ok. I didn't know that. Thanks for the reply. Just hope he has a good season and is ready to make an inpact when he returns.

I have seen a few Swansea fans saying he gets very little service and still manages to a score. Seems like has a natural finisher. I guess another loan will Do him good, but I don’t see him replacing firmino yet.

He’s done really well, he’s scored some cracking goals, I know he’s missed one or two sitters, but he’s a young lad, it happens. The important thing is he picks himself up and doesn’t dwell on it, he’s confident to back himself to try again, the free kick against Millwall was a superb goal, takes real guts to have a go from there at his age. His record works out to roughly one in every two games which I think is good going. Fingers crossed he has what it takes to kick on for us.

Another goal notched this evening with the game currently at HT. I'd like to see him spend another full season on loan playing week in week out, he's still young and keeping him as back up at this stage of his development could be harmful to his potential growth.

Hi Eds, what's your opinion on Shaqiri looking ( according to the athletic ) like he might stay?
They said as well that Harry Pickering is a cheap option as a backup left-back.
Also do you know of any interest in Hoffenheim youngsters Nick Breitenbucher and Melkamu Frauendorf?
Seen some reports on them lately.
Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool have to consider what they can sell Shaqiri for and how much they could spend on a replacement for the first team squad. If there is no interest it leaves little choice than to stick with him. Many clubs are looking at trading players and few have cash to spend.

Harry Pickering (LB) Crewe Youngster watched at the start of the year by Brighton, Reading and Watford.
Melkamu Frauendorf (AM) is a well thought of 16 year old and I know Union Berlin made an enquiry that was rejected for family reasons, but a transfer to the Liverpool and the UK at this time would be very complicated, although potentially possible.
Nick Breitenbucher (LW/RW) There have been discussions between Hoffenheim and Chelsea about the kiddie but there is also interest from Schalke who are looking at exchanges, kids and Free Agents.}

Eds, what is in the way of the Carlos/ Shaq part exchange? Is this dependent on Lovren being moved on first? if so, how likely is that?
cheers.

{Ed002's Note - Right now Liverpool do not have the money to make it happen and Seville are working on another option whilst other clubs have a declared interest in Diego Carlos.}

Is that Ronny Pickerings brother?!

Ed, would Diego Llorente be a more affordable option to Diego Carlos? Have Liverpool looked at him?

Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Yes he would.}

Victor Osimhen is/ could there be money for him if JK listens to this scout?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - No Barry.}

05 Jul 2020 14:59:30
I don’t see the fuss with Osimhen, he needs about 6 or 7 shots to get a goal and more often than not his efforts end up in the keepers hands or in the stands. Can’t see what he offers that we don’t already have in Origi in terms of being a big quick target man. Other than filling Lille’s coffers to the tune of £70m and us not getting a £70m player, surely we should learn from Arsenal getting mugged off over Nicolas Pepe?
