Hi Ed's,

Do you see any high profile players (with the exception of possibly Suarez) leaving in the summer?

i.e. Allen or Coutiniho (examples only)?

Also if we are looking to spend money or first team players (maybe getting rid of a few) are there any realistic free transfers that we might go after or consider as strong squad players (aka on the bench but plenty of playing time from the bench)?

Thanks Hoola

{Ed001's Note - no. Impossible to say right now, other than the likes of Montoya that we are already looking at.}

Eds do you see Montoya as a very realistic signing in the summer or just an outside chance?

{Ed002's Note - I would not hold your breath.}

with PSG having signed Cabaye, does it mean they have dropped their intrest in Ivan Rakitic and also what's the current situation of Adrian Rabbiot of PSG, Eds do you rate Adrian Rabbiot?

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - PSG has no further interest in Rakitik. Arsenal and Chelsea enquired after Rabiot in the summer and PSG were not keen to sell. I cannot see what has changed - he is bleating about not being in the first team; a move to London would not resolve that in the short term.}

Liverpool should be looking at William Carvalho of sporting Top quality young defensive midfielder. Fits in with the FSG policy would add steel to the midfield and will be available in the summer I suspect

{Ed002's Note - A club who have recently enquired were quoted €42M.}

Any idea hows Krisztian Adorjan's developing with FC Groningen.

Believable10 Unbelievable5

Not terribly, hasn't played a lot (12 Games/4 of which coming on as a sub). He's scored 2 goals & 1 assist, not terrible. I've only seen him play a couple of times, he has shown flashes of brilliance.

Hi Eds,

Is 15 year old Serbian Luka Marković, having a 10 day trail at Liverpool?

Believable12 Unbelievable5

{Ed001's Note - I don't know sorry.}

Albert Riera has just been released from Galatasaray, purely due to them having too many foreign players.

Now, theoretically a move for him, from us, would make a lot of sense.

He would provide strength in depth and extra cover on the left side (which was what we were after in January). He has bags of experience, he's still as tricky as ever. Whether he still has his pace is yet to be seen.

He can also play as a left back which is another option we SORELY need.

It makes too much sense to me, but I know football is football so Eds is there any sign of us sniffing around him? I know West Brom were tipped to be signing him.

Cheers lads

{Ed001's Note - no, he was not good enough last time we had him, he wasn't good enough at Gala, nothing to do with him being foreign, he simply isn't that good. If he was any good, they would have found a way to keep him, like getting rid of another foreigner. Do people actually forget what a player is like or something? He wasn't tricky, he was direct, but he couldn't cross or pass. He was one of those players you wonder what on earth Rafa was thinking about when he signed him.}

Is this a joke?

Agree0 Disagree0

As far as I recall he was absolutely good against Man Utd. I would rate him above Moses anytime.

absolutely spot on, Ed!

Agree2 Disagree0

Ya great response Ed001.

And what's with people thinking just because somebody has been put somewhere that they can play there - he's rubbish LB. That would be like saying Gary Doherty would have been a great signing 10 years ago as not only could he play CB but he could have provided cover for CF. no, no he couldn't. Actually he couldn't play CB really either so he's not a great example sorry

Agree0 Disagree0

Disagree with the Ed. Riera had his uses, but that was 5 years ago, and he is in his 30's now

Agree1 Disagree0

Got to agree with Ed, guys a no hoper!

Agree0 Disagree0

Had a good 1st season then went to pot and had a falling out with rafa just goes to show what poor wingers we had had in the last ten years as I'd rate him on his 1st season of one of the better ones

He was rubbish.Can't believe anyone who saw him play would want him back, especially 5 years on!

I very much hope the echo is mistaken.
Liverpool planning to use Borini as a makeweight for A.Johnson?
Please dear lord no.
And wouldn't we expect Borinis transfer fee to be higher than that of Johnson? This is Johnson's first decent run of form since he moved.
Add into the mix than Borini is a lot younger and highly rated in Italy, this seems like terrible journalism.

Ed001 or Ed02 please tell me it's tosh?

Believable6 Unbelievable11

{Ed001's Note - not aware of any current Liverpool interest.}

The Echo rumour mill, not the Echo themselves. People keep making this mistake!
