Hi Eds not a rumour but a fact Liverpool will struggle to get champions league football until they re sign a certain xabi Alonso to me he was at the heart of everything we did I think if you ask Stevie g he would jump at the chance to play alongside him again let's start a campaign to get him re signed {Ed002's Note - I think you need to start looking forward rather than back. Find the "next Alonso" and start a campaign to sign him.}

There is a hugely talented Danish midfielder called Jan Molby who Liverpool should go for who is currently plying his trade at little known outfit 5 Live.
True ed. for me there are 2 candidates for this role - Javi Martinez and Ever Banega.
Both young, can tackle and pretty much put the ball on a sixpence.
My choice? After watching Euro U21 last year has to Martinez...pure class. Infact Double raid on Bilbao...Him and Llorente will do nicely!

Id like to know how you would go about this campaign maybe some leaflet drops at kennys house maybe some cold calling tele sale like pitches to him if that fails we could get tshirts with xabi back maybe a picket line at the end of kennys drive with banners and placards demanding the return of xabi refuse to move till he,s back it may be a long wait with the transfer window not opening till the summer but im up for some camping if you are lol

Javi martinez is the player......but winger/striker is needed....with 8 percent chance convertion rate(the worst in the league)

Agree with the post above so much! I can't believe they're 'happy with the current squad'. That's not to say it's a bad group of players but how can you be happy with a team that can't convert chances? Summed up with last night performance. So bored of hearing "we're playing well, creating chances" etc etc while 4 position creeps away from us.
Should never have let him go in the 1st place,Xabi and Stevie G were !PERFECT! together,they complimented each other perfectly,we will never ever get a midfield partnership like that again i dont think!!

Start a campaign to sign a player, are you having a laugh? You make us sound like a bunch of small time nobs. We're not the likes of Blackburn, we are Liverpool.

Koke from Atletico is the new Alonso. Just watch him in a few years. Wont be anywhere near as expensive as Martinez.
It's all well and good saying let's look to find the new Alonso but with no champions league and paying low wages the cream of top class young players will sign for other clubs if we can get xabi back next season as a short term fix we may have a chance to really make an impact on the top four I mean let's face it our best player Bellamy has been a huge hit this season and you can't say he was brought in for the future
Would love to c Alonso back but I know it's a dream that can't come true rafa made very little mistakes at the club but out of all of them that has to be the biggest still gutted to this day. Anyway we are not that far from being a top four side again just need a silva like player or a modric So come on king kenny get three players striker,play maker, winger team complete in kenny we trust YNWA
Alonso was/is fantastic but how would we Blag Madrid to let him go ?he loved the reds his kid sees himself as scouse his last interview on LFC from madrid was mint ..would also teach our lads how to understand the game because we just playing without understanding how to get to goal unless it being on the counter attack ..hence why we win away but draw @ home

Seriosly I love Xabi to bits and would love him back at the club but to say we wouldnt win anything without his is nuts.

If we get champions league we should sign Martinez and Harzard. We would then have a midfield to match City and Spurs.
