Really sorry to ask Ed but I couldn't find anything on your update for skrtel (don't know if I'm just being an person), could you paste your OP in response to this please? Don't worry if not but it would be much appreciated. Also, I may have caught the wrong end of the stick but I'm sure I read one of the eds put we are still trying to buy HM, is this true?

Cheers

100% Cotton {Ed002's Note - I expect that Coates will leave and Ilori will arrive. Skrtel was certainly expected to leave but I am told that Csonto has told Zenit St Petersburg that his client will stay in Liverpool and it will be Agger that will leave. That seems a little surprising although it was clear that Agger wanted to hear what Monaco were putting on the table via his agent. Now it seems Barcelona will turn their attention to Agger as there preferred choice is not likely to be available. If Liverpool sell Agger or Skrtel then another centre back will be required. If not, then perhaps Ilori will be it.}

Believable7 Unbelievable19

It seems like Barca is dead set on Silva and in the latest reports Silva is dead set on them, too. Those reports had no clear evidence backing them but let's hope it's true from a Liverpool perspective at least.

Agree1 Disagree0

Ahh so it was that 1. okay ed.

Agree1 Disagree1

Thanks Ed. is Ed001 around to answer the second part. I'm sure I have probably miss understood what was said but it appeared that we are still trying to strike a deal for HM?

Cheers

100% Cotton {Ed001's Note - we are keeping our options open, but an offer is on the table still for him, but we won't be sat twiddling our thumbs waiting.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Agger must stay. Skrtel has to go. Don't want Illori

Agree1 Disagree0

If Agger goes then Sakho will 100% sign for around 15-17m euros.

Agger won't leave for anything less than £20m, but I expect the price to be a bit higher

Reason; Liverpool wouldn't accept anything less than £25m last summer and Agger has had a much fuller season this last season.

not saying Agger will leave & BR will definitely do everything possible to keep Agger.

I believe Agger is not for sale.
He will be appointed vise captain once Reina leaves for Barcelona.

Agree2 Disagree0

Skirtles agent stirring the sh!T.
Agger stays, Skirtle and Coates go, Alderwald joins
Wisdom & Kelly (if he keeps fit) given game time at CH
Like the look of Wisdom, has physically beefed up and the only one of the few England U-21's who can hold his head high

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed how far ahead of us are Dortmund with HM, have they agreed a fee or personal terms yet? Thanks {Ed002's Note - I expect he will complete his move there.}

Hey eds, are we in for any left backs? And is it true what Darren Lewis said about Jose Enrique wanting out?

Thanks, Ron Saleh. {Ed002's Note - I don't know about Enrique wanting out.}

Believable5 Unbelievable17

Just read we made a 4m pound bid for cissokho

Agree1 Disagree2

I wouldn't hold my breath over that.

Agree1 Disagree0

Enrique staying. Cissokho could be considered as it's v unlikely we'll get Digne (Monaco) or Shaw (Utd/Spurs).

Ed in your opinion, now that madrid have missed out on other targets do you think they will look to suarez and do anything to get a deal done. Do you think this affects the sale of higuain.

Thanks ed,
RED {Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with Higuain but Madrid still has interests in more than one forward - including Suarez.}

hi eds
have we shown any interest in hamsik and if we have could you see him wanting to join us? {Ed002's Note - No.}

Believable6 Unbelievable17

Ed do you think Gaitan or pjanic may be a possible alternative to HM? {Ed002's Note - Gaitan, no - he will be expensive and is likely to move elsewhere. PSG and Manchester City remain keen on the signing of Miralem Pjanic. Spurs are aware that he could be available at the right price - but that is very high. Another English side have also made an enquiry, but it is not Liverpool. He was one of the players being considered by Dortmund as a replacement for Goertze. If Liverpool are looking to bid for Jorginho I assume that is where Rodgers sees the answer.}

Believable9 Unbelievable13

Could Jorginho be a replacement for Shelvey?

In an interview he recently said that he wanted an attacking midfielder as well as saying that anybody who leaves will also need to be replaced. This was before Shelvey left.

Widespread reports in Italy on Sunday suggest Liverpool have made a 9 million euro offer for Verona's Brazilian midfielder Jorginho.Sport Italia journalist Alfredo Padulla was the first with the information who claimed on his personal website that Verona had received the Liverpool bid of 8 million pounds, just over 9 million euros on Sunday morning.
A swift sale of Jorginho is expected in the coming days, with only AC Milan challenging Liverpool for the signature of the attacking midfielder. {Ed002's Note - It makes some sense if Liverpool are done chasing Mkhitaryan.}

Believable41 Unbelievable9

But Jorginho is not Miktarhyan, who lots of LFC fans have fallen in "love" with. MK is the bestest bestest player ever, so we must get him. Sell 22 players in the LFC squad, bankrupt the club. whatever. Just make sure you get MK.

Land of fulls and gold.

Agree3 Disagree1

Ed sorry to bother you regarding Mkhi again.
But many top journos (Phil Mcnulty & Jonathan Northcroft) reckon LFC were willing to pay the price being asked for Mkhi but those involved with the deal would not allow LFC to speak to the player. Any idea if this is true and if so why? {Ed002's Note - They have been misinformed or mis-explained something in that case. Which offer did they say Liverpool had matched?}

Agree0 Disagree1

Maybe but from what I read from them it seemed like maybe SD officials were annoyed with us at not talking to them more and rather going to the other owners regarding Mkhi.
Anyway according to you have we all but given up on Mkhi?

Agree0 Disagree0

Jorginho isn't an attacking midfielder.He's more of a playmaker.like Alonso to be fair.

Agree1 Disagree0

They didn't say Liverpool had matched any bid, simply they were willing to pay whatever was needed but couldn't get past Mino Raiola in order to speak to Mkhitaryan himself. {Ed002's Note - Which would be tapping up without the agreement of Dortmund - so they were simply lollygagging on Twitter or whatever. Thanks for the response.}

Agree0 Disagree0

You mean Donetsk? Isn't in common for clubs to allow a player to speak to another club before a fee has been agreed? {Ed002's Note - No.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Perhaps Donetsk got annoyed with Liverpool's negotiating tactics and would not allow them to speak to their player? {Ed002's Note - You seems to be making stuff up.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Looks like no marqee signing this window

Agree0 Disagree0

Eds, is this the same Jorginho Arsenal were linked with?
If so, he's very highly rated!
ANFIELDPETE {Ed002's Note - I don't know about Arsenal but Chelsea spoke to Verona about buying Jorginho as a squad player and loaning him back for a year Manchester City and Crystal Palace have also enquired.}

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Jul 2013 18:35:35
Phil McNulty said on twitter that we were happy to meet his buy out in his contract but those involved did not want to speak to Liverpool.

Ed002 would the player be an improvement on what we got. sorry but I never heard his name before and you might be better to judge then most.
Ynwa lfc linc {Ed002's Note - In a way it is tough - Chelsea see him as a potential squad player - a filler if you like. Benayoun or whatever.}

Agree0 Disagree0

He is very young and its a very strange move to think he is the missing link in out attacking threat!

Good afternoon EDs

Has there been any interested clubs in Sanchez from Barca so far this window? Not sure if we have shown interest or could afford to bring him to Anfield, but would be great if we could.
Has there been any news on departures aside the Suarez drama, is it looking like Skertl will still leave?

Thanks

PM {Ed002's Note - Attempts to buy Sanchez last summer were met by a 40M euro asking price although I suspect 25-30M euro will be nearer to what will be paid in summer for him if a buyer can be found this summer. Juventus had very clear targets and a significant budget to buy a player to play off their main striker, Llorente, but have opted for another solution. The only other confirmed interest is from Inter who are putting together a rather ambitious loan-to-buy deal for Sanchez. Try the search engine on Skrtel as I recently provided an update.}

Eds are we currently or have we ever been interested in aly cissokho? I think he would be a great addition and for the past several seasons I have hoped he might move to us.
Also alonso rumours have appeared again as it looks like we have missed out on HM. What do you make of this?

Thanks for all your help

Kyle {Ed002's Note - In the past there has been interest. Cissokho is subject to interest from Lokomotiv Moskou of Kuban Krasnodar and speculation that Liverpool might again be interested as well.}

Just want to kill off the Micah Richards rumour. He is in Bangkok at the minute with my friend on a promotional tour for MCFC. He has said he plans on signing a new contract at Man City. BTW i'm a Liverpool fan from Manchester

He is not terribly good anyway. I don't see how he is a great improvement on what we have.

Hey Eds,

With it looking like we've missed out on the Armenian, is there any chance of us making a move for Diego of Wolfsburg?

He's only got a year left on his contract, fits the mould of goal scoring attacking midfielder, and at 28 should be just reaching his peak. He's made no secret of wanting to go back to Athletico, but they're yet to move for him so his options could be limited.

Just seems like a good cheap option for us.

Also any chance of any of the following (simply because they're all brilliant):
Hamsik
Lamela
Douglas Costa

Cheers guys! {Ed001's Note - no, he has off field issues, this has been covered so many times, he is not in any way a cheap option either, he has a high wage. Doubt it.}

Hi Ed's.
Sky Germany reporting that we have matched Dortmund's offer for HK.
You guys know anything about this?

//Carl {Ed001's Note - I haven't a clue, it is really difficult for anyone to be sure with his multiple owners. All I know is we have been trying to get an agreement to buy all of his contract, so he is eligible to play in the English league.}

Believable23 Unbelievable4

They didn't say Liverpool had matched any bid, simply they were willing to pay whatever was needed but couldn't get past Mino Raiola in order to speak to Mkhitaryan himself. {Ed002's Note - Which would be tapping up without the agreement of Dortmund - so they were simply lollygagging on Twitter or whatever. Looks like we have missed out on Henrickh ( HM ) but so what! Don't think he was that good anyway. Much better option in my eyes and would either complement or even replace Suarez would be Gerard Deulofeu from Barcelona. Look on the Liverpool FC web page and their are video clips of players linked to LFC this week. He looks a class player and also very young! {Ed002's Note - Gerard Deulofeu was one of the two Barcelona players who was discussed between Barcelona and Chelsea clubs earlier this year and Chelsea were told he would not be sold. Offers from Espanyol and Bayer Leverkusen have been rejected. If a sale is possible, expect interest from Bayern Munich and also an approach from Txiki Begiristain on behalf of Manchester City. Real Betis, Everton, Spurs and Roma are all interested in taking the player on loan.}

Believable5 Unbelievable17

Ive read somewhere LFC have match Dortmunds bid for Henrich,
Its upto the player where he goes now

Agree0 Disagree0

So in other words Liverpool have no chance! Can't attract the best players anymore

How is a kid that has hardly played a better option than a guy that scored 23 goals and CL experience.FFS

Agree0 Disagree0

It would be fantastic to keep Suarez don't get me wrong, however we are LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB and won't keep any player not willing to give its ALL for the club. In my opinion MH does look a lot of money for what I can see in him at £25m. It does appear that we are struggling to attract the TOP names even though we are LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB!

Hi eds, what's the situation with KP boatang from Milan? Thanks in advance {Ed002's Note - Boateng is available but there seems to be little or no interest at this time.}

Believable12 Unbelievable4

I would have thought he would be the last player Milan would sell eds. Has there been a fall out or just a mutual decision? By the way he would be a good addition but expensive i'd say.

Bulmer {Ed002's Note - Time to move on - he had an uncomfortable season and the club need to raise money for purchases.}

Isn't Jorghino more a deep lying midfielder? He only scored twice last season, surely he isn't an alternative to Mkhitarayan?
