Where would the eds see dybala moving to? Also who would the eds realistically like to see up front next season? Are there any links to luis muriel anymore?

Believable1 Unbelievable3

{Ed002's Note - (a) Not Liverpool. (b) It will depend on the money raised. Benzema or Higuain would be possible if Liverpool don't piss money away as usual - but would they want Champions League? (c) Muriel was only an option if Suarez had gotten what he wanted and left the summer before last.}

I'd love to see higuain at liverpool

Benzema would be perfect in my opinion he's been fantastic for two seasons at Real Madrid but overshadowed by Ronaldo. Higuain I haven't seen much of since his Madrid days before an injury which he didn't seem as good when he came back afterwards although in comparison to other names being mentioned I would take him happily. Vietto would be great too if he was possible still

07 May 2015 20:46:58
Wow Ed, Benzema or Higuain would be possible,

I'm not biting on that one mate lol, but would love either of those.

Origi & Ings will do us just fine I'm sure.

{Ed002's Note - Read all of the words.}

Today has just proved that you need to wake up and smell the coffee. Higuain and benzema? Get real. More like ings. I swear some of our fans are deluded, no wonder were the laughing stock

Eds,

With your knowledge of the club and you're undoubted contacts, does the committee share the fans view that our priority is a proven , top class striker.

Could you see them honestly going all out and more importantly attracting a Benzema / Martinez / Higuain with or without CL as it's been so long since we secured a player like that I've forgotten what it feels like.

Concerning that Depay, another of these fluid, off the wing , type of players is the one we seemed to have been most keen on signing when this is nowhere near our priority this summer

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - It simply doesn't work like that.}

08 May 2015 12:38:32
Hi eds, First time poster here. I have seen you mention that Higuain and Benzema could be possible Liverpool targets, but who out of the two would you prefer to see in a liverpool shirt? I beleive we have to target one of these two as they are proven world class strikers which is what we need to go all out for this summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - The issues are as I explained - (a) how much money can the club raise through sales (b) are Liverpool interested in them (c) will Liverpool throw the money away elsewhere (d) would they be interested in a club not playing Champions League football.}

08 May 2015 10:30:54
Hi Ed002

You say Benzema or Higuain may be possible but I'm just wondering why you think that is so? With Benzema I'm guessing its something to do with him wanting to be the main man which he does not get at Madrid? Liverpool fans do treat their 'marquee' strikers well (suarez, torres), always have done and I can see the appeal in being the main man at Liverpool. Higuain must feel important at Napoli though right? despite serie A being a so called weaker league.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I have explained the rationale in the post - I am not going to answer questions packed full; of clichés like "main man", "marquee strikers". They are simply footballers - no more, no less.}

08 May 2015 10:59:17
Ed002 you've shot yourself in the foot with that one. Que the endless posts about higuain/benzema. I feel for you guys

Hey Ed's, I saw a strange rumor today; I've read rumors that Chelsea were interested in Pirlo, and now today I read that we may be. So, are we? And if not, who is? Does his contract expire this summer?

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - He has a year to run - by which time he will be 37. If Liverpool is starting a veterans side, a great buy I am sure.}

07 May 2015 17:35:28
He would still be head n shoulders ahead of anyone we have now ! Coutinho aside

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - So Crouch is coming back?}

07 May 2015 19:15:35
You tell us Ed!;)

08 May 2015 05:21:22
If veterans drink wine like pirlo then there's no problem with a veteran's club. They will get better with age.

eds reds so as expected, depay goes to united!!!!if i'm realistic and have said before, son, konyaplanka, milner, montoya, neto.considering where we need to strengthen, and expence no cl i think with what we have and the above plus the likes of ilori back off loan, we could do very well next season.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Ilori is up for sale - but over-priced by the club. There is no Liverpool interest in Konoplyanka. The others perhaps.}

07 May 2015 19:37:28
Okthanks ed

07 May 2015 20:53:20
What was IIori bought for

Hi Ed,

Its very certain that Depay is joining utd on the next season. Any news on sterling deal? are we close to any signing. its really frustrating to watch lfc like this.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - There is nothing at all happening with Sterling right now and the club have said they will discuss matters at the end of the season. Meanwhile, his agent and another representative have been trying to gauge interest from other clubs.}

07 May 2015 12:53:00
Sterling and his agent are totaly disrespecting Liverpool football club, if he wants to go then get rid and spend the cash on someone who wants to play for us.

Agree1 Disagree0

07 May 2015 13:58:25
Hopefully a club comes in with a big offer for and we should snatch there hand off.

Sterling is unfortunately being badly advised and could easily see his career come off the rails.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 May 2015 21:10:53
Why keep asking about Sterling? It has been stated in the press and by the ed's that it will be resolved in the summer! I for one am sick to death of this question and I'm sure the ed's are sick of it too!

Hi eds, I wondered if we had shown any interest in Derlis González of FC Basel. What's the score with strikers who are we looking at? Benteke, Martinez, Mandzukic?
Thanks for all your efforts

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Benfica has enquired after buying Derlis González back. Liverpool has no interest. I have said which forwards I am aware Liverpool has looked at.}

07 May 2015 09:04:14
So Depay looks set for united, I was never confident to be honest not since ed002 said it's what he expected, looks like Ntep could sign, never seen him play though so no idea what he's like.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

07 May 2015 10:31:54
Who is Ntep?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Who is Bozo Texino?}

07 May 2015 09:05:18
Gday Eds,
Just read a report of Liverpool interest in Menez, he's had a great season, any truth?
Thanks

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any interest right now from Liverpool. Menez said last summer that he would like a return to Monaco but they were not showing any interest - now they are. Certainly Inter are open to selling the player and whilst at PSG last year there was interest from a number of clubs, including Liverpool but they failed to approach the player, his agent or the club at that time.}

07 May 2015 11:06:06
Menez is at AC Milan not inter

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Thanks.}

Eds rumours this morning of ntep from rennes. Apparently he's visited the club twice in 10days. Source lequipe

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - I don't know about any visits to Liverpool but if that has happened without the agreement of Rennes then there could be a major issue. His agents once before got caught taking a player to another club without permission and they were warned that their license could be revoked - they claimed a misunderstanding. However, Stade Rennais' Paul Georges Ntep has been of interest to Stoke, QPR, Bordeaux and Montpellier. Additionally Marseille, Liverpool, Saint-Étienne, Chelsea, Arsenal, Lille and Manchester City are known to have watched the player this season. But, to date, only Stoke has made a firm offer. He would again perhaps be an option to replace Sterling, and certainly a cheap option.}

07 May 2015 09:49:30
Not heard of him Ed. Is he any good mate? Again you say may be an option to replace Sterling. So not possible he arrives and Sterling stays?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Why try and put words in my mouthy or complicate everything. He is a possible cheap option as I explained.}

07 May 2015 10:17:48
thanks again ed. i'd really worry if we haven't got permission. forgot to ask with us looking at moving on coates and interest in baez could you see a deal being done perhaps involving the two players?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - No. Coates wants to stay in England.}

07 May 2015 10:53:19
any clubs willing to offer coates a move in england then ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware.}

Depay has chosen Utd . But we knew that anyway to be fair .

07 May 2015 10:14:47
This is another Lou Macari episode. In 1973 Macari was wanted by United but the club was slow in negotiations so Macari flirted with Liverpool to create a reaction. He visited Anfield as well I think. That flirting had the result that Macari wanted and United signed the player within days. The fact is that United are always going to be ahead of Liverpool in attracting players. That is one of the extremely sad facts of life.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - There were three clubs with a declared interest - one backed out. There is no "flirting". It is simply just another possible transfer - try not to make any of this stuff "special".}

07 May 2015 10:31:48
It has been known for a long time in this country that Depay wanted to join United. That has always been his first choice. The fact that the club seemed to be turning its attention to Bale has prompted Depay to remind them that he is still around and available. There is nothing 'special' about that!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Nothing involving Bale has impacted Depay at all.}

07 May 2015 10:45:13
That is not the opinion here

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Well I am sorry to say your opinion is simply nonsense. Not everything is about Liverpool - in fact, practically nothing is.}
