Sorry Ron, but I got to disagree with you mate. Have you seen much of Quincey Promes play? He's a totally different build to Christian Atsu, he's much stronger on the ball, he'd be a great addition to the team. He's quick, strong and can finish. I've seen him play all over the pitch, LM/ RM/ CAM/ LW/ RW/ CF/ ST.

From what I've seen of him (which isn't much I have to say) he plays a lot like Mane which can't be a bad thing in my eyes. I wouldn't say we particularly need him but he would be a welcome addition and might just give the other lads a pick me up like new signings can do.

I can see making sense because
1) we have only one starting team experienced winger with real pace in Mane (if we exclude the youngsters like Ojo)
2) it would allow Firmino to play upfront if Coutinho or Mane are out
3) it would also allow Klopp to drop Coutinho into midfield to provide some creativity if Llalana is not available/ needs a rest

The problem is it'll mean we're very heavy in the forward line and also harder for the likes of Ojo to get a shot but if Klopp plans to drop Coutinho a little deeper from time to time then I'd be happy to see the move

Haven't seen a lot of him but he looks half decent in a garbage league. No chance of making it in the Premier league.

We don't need him. We have ojo

Christian Atsu v2.0 eh Ron? - that would be OK it would mean Chelsea sign him ahead of us and then loan him out 6 months later - I can live with that.

Most of his youTube skills are all shots from a fair distance. long ones.

Not sure what to make of it but looks like he has confidence to pull off such long shots which is a good sign.

Not sure the leagues best attacking team needs another attacker to be honest.

I don't get this we have ojo lark that people say, he's not good enough just like ibe wasnt. if klopp thinks we need another wide/ forward player then that's what we need. I hope we get this quincy lad.

It's shocking how lots of people still believe that youngsters will take liverpool to the next level. Often you see comments like we've got ojo, we've got bla bla to step in for more senior players. Absolute tripe. They should be given time to blend in and not expect them to cover for so and so.

You say Ojo isn't good enough?

Players only get better by playing football at a high level.

With your attitude Yipster, Bellerin never would have been given the game time to turn him from 4th choice backup to the best right back in the league. Same story for Harry Kane. Same story for Alli. I could go on and on.

Promise is a few years older than Ojo and has more experience so I would expect more from him but if we give that to Ojo (a player we already have) then what?

We develop our own player, tap into the potential of one the country's best young prospects and save millions on bringing in a player we never really needed.

Yipster, you discredited yourself already by stating that Ojo (a 19 yr old) is no longer good enough cos he`s only played what like 10 games in the first team? With that attitude, we would never have found players like Sterling and Owen who were given more than 10 games to prove their worth. if Barcelona had that attitude, would they have found Xavi, Iniesta and even Pep? had real had that attitude, would they have found Raul and the list is endless? Sheesh!

200% with you Hamilton.

It's bizarre that a 19year old highly regarded as having a bright future in the game can be dismissed as not gone enough based off a handful of matches and a below par first game back from injury against Plymouth (which I imagine is where this Yipster post and all it's 'agrees' is really originating from)

Ojo just oozes class, he will make it, no question

{Ed025's Note - i take it you were working last sunday then ron?.. :)

I agree that it's too early to judge Ojo but personally I am not holding my breath on the lad.
Hamilton-The reason those players where given more than 10 games was because they showed they were good enough, by that logic we should give everyone 10 plus games and see how they go.

Alli and kane are bad examples. they were given a shot and grabbed it with both hands. Making it nearly impossible for the manager to drop them. I agree they need time, just wish a few of them would force it a little more.

I don't judge players on one game ed025 😛
It's either 2 games or a 6 minute plus YouTube compilation 😎

Ibe and Brad Smith are now in the biggest struggle of their careers.

No longer are they at a huge club getting a few games in the first team with not much criticism attached to their performances.

They are now players who a smaller well run club invested 21 million quid in the pair of them.

With that investment comes pressure of delivering performances better than the players already at the club.

How they cope with this new pressure will dictate if they will ever be top class.
