I've seen several rumours lately about the young speedy spaniard Sergio Gomez I was wondering how accurate these rumours are as I have seen him play once or twice and believe he will be a meta signing.

Believable3 Unbelievable15

{Ed002's Note - He is 15 years old, I would not start worrying about him forcing himself in to the first team at Liverpool for a few years.}

09 Mar 2016 01:13:18
Really zoom have u seen him play he's Only 15 I'm interested in which games You've seen him play in.

Didn't messi make his Barcelona debut when he was 17! Haha.

So even if he was on par with the greatest player ever natural, he still has two years.

Hi Eds, any truth in liveroools interest in Samuel Bastien.?

Hey ed, since there do exist some (unreliable, fabricated, untrustworthy) news reports linking us with Kevin Volland, could you say whether he will be available in the summer and which clubs are tracking him?

Believable2 Unbelievable5

{Ed001's Note - if someone offers enough he would be available. He is a player Klopp likes, hence the stories.}

08 Mar 2016 14:15:35
A player you rate ed?

Agree2 Disagree4

{Ed001's Note - when I have seen him, mostly he has impressed, yes.}

08 Mar 2016 14:19:30
Don't you think Ings and Volland are similar players though? Both diagonal runners and good finishers.

Agree3 Disagree5

08 Mar 2016 15:22:43
Would be a smart addition IMO, a proven goalscorer from out wide with pace to burn.

Agree5 Disagree5

08 Mar 2016 15:58:01
Yes and he proved he worked well with firminho.

Agree9 Disagree5

09 Mar 2016 03:15:54
I don't think Volland and Ings are all that similar. Volland, I think, more technical, probably greater pace, and often plays on the wing.

Ings plays up top, decent technically, but most importantly a lot of drive, desire. Very hard worker, like Milner.

Agree3 Disagree0

09 Mar 2016 04:52:21
Agree red planet, Ings is a hard working striker with a poachers instinct, Volland is a pacy winger who can also score goals. Would be a challenger to Milner, Llalana and Coutinho's spots but adds a different skill set to all those three. Closest thing we'd have to him is Markovic, Ibe or Ojo when are all still yet to prove they can step up (although I have faith in all 3)

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Mar 2016 07:49:16
Only ever seen him play at International U21 level where he has been great, but then so has Ilori.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Mar 2016 10:22:12
Ings has pace.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2016 00:43:47
zimbo: totally agree. Volland also has the versatility to play up top, as well, which is not a bad thing given that Benteke is likely gone, and the rest of our strikers seems to be injured often.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2016 01:06:42
If Volland is that good, might as well go for him right, Ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - only if we need him, which would mean offloading some first.}

07 Mar 2016 23:23:38
HI Eds I wondered are these reports regarding Begovic and Subatic true.
They suggest that we have tabled bids of £7.5m and £4.2m respectively. If this turns out to be true we could have done some smashing deals there.
Thanks.

Believable3 Unbelievable12

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of such offers.}

08 Mar 2016 06:10:52
£7.5m is a lot for someone who has sat on his backside for 70% of the season, which would have been more if Courtois hadn't been injured.
I have to question Beegovic as he chose Chelsea, knowing he would always be 2nd choice! Fraser Forster would be a better choice for me, and its about time we took one of Southampton's decent players.

Agree4 Disagree12

{Ed001's Note - Forster? Have you not watched him play? Flapper who lets in soft shots on a regular basis. Another one who has benefited from the way Saints play, rather than adding to it. Please no, would rather have Hart and I really do not want Hart.}

08 Mar 2016 07:57:00
Hi ed, u do want hart. He is the gk of mancity the defending champion. I am sure he is not the best but he is definitely up there among the best. Alao he is England gk.

Agree0 Disagree18

{Ed001's Note - he is average and city want to replace him. I do not want him because I watch him play instead of spending my time trolling our players.}

08 Mar 2016 09:00:59
I wouldn't go for either of Forster or Begovic, Forster simply isn't good enough and again, why would we want a bloke who has turned down the opportunity to be our number one in the past but happily signed up to be number two at Chelsea? Notwithstanding that fact that he isn't actually that great, he is a bog standard premier league keeper nothing more than that. We should go for Leno, Ter Stegen, Karius or Butland as they are best young keepers out there by a mile.

Agree6 Disagree6

08 Mar 2016 09:48:25
Mr Dennis, I would agree with you on Leno, and maybe Ter Stegen although I don't think we can afford him.
Ed 001- You stated to another poster not more than 5-6 weeks ago that you thought Forster was a decent keeper? I have watched him, and for me he is better than Hart and definitely an improvement on Migs.

Agree0 Disagree6

{Ed001's Note - when? I have never said he was decent. I have always said he was poor, ask Ed007, I told him when Celtic signed him, initially on loan, that they were sold a pup. I can also remember how they only bought him because they could not find anyone else who would consider signing for them so got stuck with Forster as a last resort signing. The guy flaps, always has, always will. Somebody even pointed out on the Celtic site just the other day how I had been right about him all along, and said they hadn't realised how bad he was until they watched him for Saints.}

08 Mar 2016 09:49:04
Hi eds, you have been speaking about hart, begovic and forster not being good enough? i agree with hart and begovic and forster i haven't seen much in matches all i see is stats, but then again by stats migs was top of the pile last year. In your opinion who is a good enough keeper to stand for LFC to emulate hughes, clemence and the like?

Agree0 Disagree5

{Ed001's Note - well I wouldn't want them to emulate Hughes, I hear he was crap between the sticks was Emlyn! I would look to Leno or possibly Zieler personally. Zieler should be able to adapt quickly, which is a plus.}

08 Mar 2016 14:12:06
And if my Football Manager memory is correct Ron-Rob is classed as a home grown player due to his time at Man U. Though I think the rules might be changing on that.

Agree2 Disagree5

08 Mar 2016 14:15:25
Any love for Yann Sommer Ed? Must admit I haven't seen a lot of him but when I have done he has looked class.

Agree1 Disagree5

{Ed001's Note - I can't say I ever remember seeing him play to be honest.}

08 Mar 2016 13:28:04
I agree about Zeiler. I said that a season or two ago. Sommer would be another good call in my opinion.

Agree1 Disagree4

08 Mar 2016 17:11:37
I'd add Karius of Mainz and Horn of Koln to that list as well. Both solid young goalkeepers. I've watched a lot of Bundesliga the last few seasons and they'd be better options then Leno. Leno is a bit like Hart. He has great agility and makes wonder saves but he makes a hell of a lot of mistakes and his distribution is as bad as Harts too.

Agree0 Disagree4

{Ed001's Note - I will bow to your greater knowledge, I have only watched odd bits of the Bundesliga.}

08 Mar 2016 17:50:55
Class from Ed001.

08 Mar 2016 19:12:36
we used to produce good keepers in the uk its been a while since we have had a truly great english keeper germany seems to be the place to go for a good keeper these days.

Agree3 Disagree4

09 Mar 2016 00:31:43
Well i just presumed that when you said you hadnt seen yann sommer play, so i guessed you hadnt seen all lenos mistakes over the past couple of seasons too.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - everytime I have seen him he has been very good, but I have only seen him infrequently.}

09 Mar 2016 03:18:33
I have a feeling we'll see a young and very good Bundesliga GK move here in the summer, but like Caulker, it may come out of left field. Won't be a Begovic.

Nor, do I think, Subotic is someone Klopp will target. Too old and likely expensive for what he brings at this stage.

Next season, we'll have Matip, Lovren, Sakho, Gomez, Skrtel, as CBs, with Lucas as a possible sub-in as well. I think Matip was our key CB acquisition.

09 Mar 2016 10:26:50
Joe Hart has the incredible ability of making himself look like he is playing at ten-times Gravity.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2016 01:11:42
Forster is aweful and has let in silly goals and can't deal with crosses. Go watch the last two games where he gave up three of the four he conceded as GK errors. The guy is worse than Mingo. As for Hart, he is average as well. We need a De Gea type GK and no more nearly men.

Good evening Eds. Do You know if Liverpool hold any interest in Ajax striker Arkadiusz Milik? Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - No they don't.}

Thx Ed.
