Ajax have just confirmed via their Twitter account that they've reached agreement with AS Roma for the transfer for Toby Alderweireld.

Yet another off the list if he indeed was ever on it.

Believable22 Unbelievable10

Has alderweild accepted to join or holding out for another team football is a funny game the lad had potential no more than Martin Kelly so not a big loss in my opinion. If we where infant interested.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is this true eds {Ed052's Note - Ed002 mentioned Roma last night - so it wouldn't be a surprise}

Agree0 Disagree0

Not that impressed with Alderweireld, especially with the price Ajax are likely to receive.

Agree0 Disagree0

Can you bequit with that "another of the list crap" so negative, besides we can't get every player we want or are linked with

Agree0 Disagree0

They haven't confirmed anything on twitter or on their english or dutch site, why do people make this stuff up!

Would Liverpool have a shot at kondogbia? {Ed002's Note - Kondogbia only moved last summer but Juventus would like to take him in the summer and Begiristain has said he is interested in the player and feels that the club can work with him to be a long term replacement for Yaya Torre.}

Ryan Babel ''He (christian eriksen) has asked me about joining Liverpool, the city and all the stuff. I am trying to convince him to join Liverpool. ''

Believable109 Unbelievable18

Its not going to happen!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it is pretty much certain he will be a Liverpool player next season, we are consistency linked with him and have been for over 2 years {Ed002's Note - He is himself courting Manchester City, PSG and now Dortmund. I would not be so sure he will be moving to Liverpool.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I believe we have every chance to signing him. he knows agger and suarez, we play good attacking football, so why not.

Agree0 Disagree0

Im not saying it definatelt won't happen bit it would be a major coup if it did. he's looking at the best team in France, Champions League cinalists, last years premiership winner, Liverpool don't match those clubs at the minute unfortunately, he would however get more game time at Anfield and at the other 3.

Have any of us ever taken a job because we know someone (not even necessarily a friend, just know them) that works in that place?

Hi EDS with ferguson gone how do you think this will impact on transfer targets among the top teams and the knock on effect thereafter. Also the recent rumours RE Qatari telecommunications and sponsorship of kit and ground, was there any substance to this, do you know.

Many Thanks
KM {Ed002's Note - It will make no difference to Liverpool but I suspect it will to MUFC. Try the search function about the "Qatari" folks.}

Hi eds, what's the current situation with Torino's Angelo Ogbonna and do Liverpool have any chance of getting him?

The Rectangle {Ed002's Note - Since last spring, Juventus, PSG, Roma, AC Milan and Manchester United have all made enquiries with Torino regarding the sale of Ogbonna who at one time interested Arsenal and Lyn Oslo. The summer might be a likely time to move with Milan, Napoli and Wolfsburg actively seeking talks about the player.}

Believable2 Unbelievable7

Lyn Oslo? Why would they be interested in him! haha

suarez to athletico madrid 40 million daily mirror editor mcginley suggesting the ajerbajan goverment have agreed to adeal with athletico to pay fee and wages. seems rediculous but mcginly suggests source is rock solid (excuse spelling). what do the eds think. {Ed001's Note - I wouldn't even believe the date in the Mirror to be honest.}

Believable10 Unbelievable37

Nice 1 Ed. i'd have to look at myself in the mirror if I ever read it :)

Agree0 Disagree0

I have to ask the question, if Suarez is to leave, it'll be to a club challenging for major trophies every season, Atletico are not doing that and are more than likely going to lose their star man in Falcao and probably Turan too.

Why would Suarez go from a club which is not challenging for major trophies every year, to a club in Spain which is pretty much in the same situation as Liverpool? Besides, he has far better and higher paying options in Bayern Munich, Juventus, maybe Manchester City and probably a super rich Russian club (Anji maybe?). Ed002 also mentioned Barcelona in a sentence regarding Suarez, so perhaps they too are interested.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good one ed

Agree0 Disagree0

They will need to add 20 million to that, mark

Agree0 Disagree0

How do you feel about the Arsenal-Puma sponsorship deal that the Mirror ran yesterday then, Ed? {Ed002's Note - I have no feelings about it.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Why can't people realise it's Atletico? {Ed002's Note - Regardless, their interest is serious and they have spoken to possible third party partners about a bid.}

Agree0 Disagree0

50 mil for torres yet 40 mil for suarez I don't think so somehow suarez is worth a lot more then the 50 mil we recieved for torres {Ed002's Note - The prices are entirely unrelated.}

Agree0 Disagree0

My question was more so geared towards Ed001 since he said he wouldn't trust the date in the Mirror. John Cross seems to be sticking his reputation on the line, however much he has left, and it seems like the story might actually be true.

I guess I might as well ask you also Ed, do you know if the Arsenal-Puma sponsorship rumors are accurate or not? {Ed001's Note - Cross has no rep! What are you talking about? The minute you work for a tabloid you lose any credibility as a journalist.}

Agree0 Disagree0

The prices are unrelated ed but Suarez is worth more to the club than 40m

JOZLFC

Agree0 Disagree0

The prices are unrelated dear Ed02, but the point is, a player in form commands a higher fee than that not in form. By your logic, you are denying that Lewandowski is worth how much BVB value him at!. If Bale is worth 70M, then surely Suarez is 60M. I agree when you say that Suarez can speak to clubs if they offer 40M but then I want to ask, If Suarez accepts the terms, does LFC hold the right to then tell the buying club that they want say 60-70M or is it that 40M is for talks and final price. If it is, expect LFC to announce that 60M is the price for talking to Suarez's reps. {Ed002's Note - You are simply plucking random numbers from the air - and it is irrelevant what Bale or any one else is worth. And Liverpool will certainly not be announcing £60M is the price for "talking to Suarez's reps" - clubs can speak to them, and have been, at any time they wish.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Swap for Falcao?
