hi Ed, just wondered if you knew wether we have looked at Abel Hernandez? would fit our transfer policy perfectly, and is one of the quickest players i've ever seen, cheers........red89 {Ed001's Note - I believe we have had him scouted yes, no idea of any more than that though, sorry. It is getting more difficult to find out with so much scouting being done via videos/dvds these days. Shame we can't have a look at the mailbag every day!}

Thanks for the quick reply Ed, would really love to see Abel in the Liverpool jersey......red89

hi ed would there be any chance at all for Carlos Tevez moving to merseyside or staying in the Premier League. I know its a long shot but he is such a talent and Mancini and Man City are screwing him over BIG TIME!! And i'm sure playing under King Kenny would make him the second best striker in the world (Behind Suarez) {Ed002's Note - Please use the search function - it has been discussed already.}

talk sports.
According to Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo, Kenny Dalglish's side have been in touch with the La Liga champions over a January move for Keita but they will face stiff opposition from Russian super-spenders Anzhi.

Guillem Balague twitter
Manchester City enquired recently about Javi Martinez, not United. It's only a enquire. No offer, nothing else, only an early interest

Hey!
Been following this site for some years now.. First post though.. It looks like we are interested in getting David Villa and Seydou Keita from Barca. Any thoughts ?

Love the site!

Villa is 29 so a little against transfer policy, and also very small. but if on the cheap, would be a good buy.

David have a close friend Pepe play for us. Hope that happen.

Ha, Ha, Ha. Another Fantasy Footie Poster! Not a Chance.

No offence mate, but my guess is you saw this rumour on caught offside.
They make up fairy stories or recycle dead stories every night, and then spend the next day laughing at the thought of all the punters who might believe them.
This site is full of bull posts during the transfer window (apart from Macca), but caught offside is so far fetched its not even funny.
The only way to stop person fantasists like them is to never even log in to their site- and the truth is that it is not worth looking at a single word they ever write.

Just reffering from the Norwegian fanpage (liverpool.no). Apperently it's from sportsvibe and el mundo deportivo but who knows were they have it from.. Would love to see Villa in the red shirt:) and he's not that old, remember we just bought Bellamy

LFCopenhagen

We never "bought" Bellamy we signed him on a free and he took a pay cut to come. Cant see Villa coming in - Despite the cost to sign him, his wages would destroy our strict wage structure and he has been very vocal in the past about how Liverpool "were holding Torres back" cant see him then joining himself.

talk sports say it. Gary Cahill, Christian Eriksen, Fernando Llorente and Xherdan Shaqiri would all improve Liverpool's team.

WHAT DO U THINK GUYS

Not sure about cahill being any better than we already have but all the rest would walk into my first 11

So would TEVEZ,MESSI.RONALDO etc,etc,etc.

Agree with everything but gary cahill look where bolton is. we have better prospects.

Even talk sport its doing your dreaming for you now!

Shaqiri at best...

hi what are the chances of us signing lucas from sao paulo its been in the news that damian comolli wants to sign him in the january transfer window {Ed002's Note - No. The article you have ready confused Lucas "New Kaka" Moura with Lucas "New Kaka" Piazon.}

Both lucas is the new kaka? {Ed002's Note - The point was that the story was wrong.}

Whats right then {Ed002's Note - He won't be joining in January.}

Eds,

Has the club looked at Diego Milito as temporary fix? Since he's fallen down the pecking order at Milan and hasn't been able to regain his form of a few seasons ago, he might be able to come at a cut price. However, he might not be consistent (or injury free) enough for Liverpool right now. At 32, he won't be able to play for too long, but I wouldn't mind signing him for a season or two.

Thanks!

CSeiling {Ed002's Note - No. Just throwing up random names is never going to work, sorry.}

Ed002,

I'm not quite certain what you mean by "work," but I wasn't trying to bother you up or anything. I was just thinking of talented players who could fill in at Liverpool. Milito obviously has strong ties to Italy, and he'll probably want to go to Genoa if he leaves Inter. I was just wondering if you guys had heard anything about him moving to Liverpool because it seems to me like a move that would make sense for Milito, Liverpool, and Inter.

Milito- more opportunities, but still for a top club

Liverpool- temporary fix for lack of finishing

Inter- removing a player from the wage bill for whom the club likely does not see much of a future

I know you guys have been saying religiously that Liverpool is monitoring Luuk de Jong, so instead of asking you if you knew of anyone else generally -- which I think you guys do not like -- I asked about a specific individual (Milito). Anyway, thank you for answering my question.

CSeiling

Cseiling - I think you have every right to ask about Milito, maybe not everyone's first choice but certainly a reasonable suggestion. Throwing random names is exactly what a great many people have been doing in this site for years.

Hi Ed,

I heard reports about a month or so ago that LFC had a bid rejected for young star Mason Bennet, is there any truth to this?

Cheers, MansfieldRED {Ed002's Note - I have never even heard of him, sorry.}

Highly unlikely that this is true. He's the 15 year old lad who's plays for Derby. They had to get his school's permission to play him.

He is (apparently) being monitored by every major Premier League club, including us... but that's it for the moment.

Richards

He's apparently going to man city for 2 million when he turns 16

Guillieum Balague has tweeted that a premier league club has enquired about Javi Martinez, i remember we were linked with him in 2010 so was just wondering has any of the Ed's heard of any renewed interest from us?

Dore89 {Ed002's Note - If any English club has enquired it will likely be Manchester United. I was told a few weeks ago that Inter Milan may make a bid for Javi in January if they decide not to take Juraj Kucka from co-owners Genoa. I am not convinced that Bilboa will want to sell the player in January, and if they do they will want something over 40M euro.}

I just watched Revista La Liga, Ed mate. And Balligue said it was not United interested in Martinez, but City. That's if you believe Balligue of course mate.

Blair Mayne YNWA JFT96

Unlikely. We were heavily linked with him under Benitez, but it's hardly likely to happen now. Unfortunately.

I am a flower of Guillieum Balague tweeter. he say he will say the club name soon.

Am whats it like been his Flower???

Hi Eds , who do you think could be the player who solves our finishing deficiancy?

Thanks

Ghandi Floss {Ed002's Note - I can only spek of players that we know the club are interested in and at this time Luuk De Jong seems to be the player being looked at.}

Ok then fair enough , thank you for the reply

Ghandi Floss

Targets that Comolli has been watching:

Moussa Sissoko
Shinji Kagawa
Seydou Doumbia
Andre Schurrle
Ryad Boudebouz
Scott Sinclair
Eden Hazard (if we gain CL qualification)
Jefferson Farfan

RM

Sorry, I forgot to sign it off...

If we could get Sissokho, Kagawa, and a half-way decent striker (Podolski, Lewandowski, Moussa Sow), then we would get into the top four easily. Bring it a class winger like Reus, and we'd be a lock.

Doumbia is a fantastic striker we should definately try and get him

MJ

Moussa Sissoko
Shinji Kagawa
Seydou Doumbia
and Hazrat. get atleast 2 of them Kenny

Hazrat?

May I ask what's your source and when does he want to sign these players?

So just Scott Sinclair it is. (Inserts crying smiley).

I never said he is gonna go out and sign all of them mate...

We will be making a few signings, by that, I mean no more than 2.

Also we wanted a Carroll even if Torres stayed so expect a Torres replacement... Kenny wants 4 top strikers...

Maxi is off in January for sure, so I do expect a replacement for him... Kuyt will be off next summer too...

We are slowly building a quality squad that is young and has the potential to improve further.

RM

I don't think that we will be able to sign Shurle( just signed for Leverkusen) or Hazard( he would prefer Barca or Madrid)

Ed, ive read a few reports stated R.Madrid wnt G.Johnson, so: 1. is there any legs init and 2. would we sell?

if we can get £14m id sell as we got 2 brillant youngsters in Kelly n Flano.

also the funniest thing ive read all day was on caughtoffside saying were guna pay £34.2m for D.Villa, who is 29 n already stated he will not leave spain as he is happy.

BigD {Ed002's Note - I suspect it is an old story being recycled.}

Kelly = brilliant, Flanno = not so much.

Ignore anything on Caughtoffside.

They should change their name to Madeupnonsense.com

08 Nov 2011 15:59:06
hi eds, i'm probably going to get slated big time for saying this but do you think there could be a chance of Gabriel agbonlahor? I think he would be a decent player/squad player as he can play LW and also up front. Cheers mate

Danny {Ed002's Note - No idea, sorry.}

08 Nov 2011 14:03:04
Hey Ed002 , Winter market is still quite far but still...
Do we have any chance to get Nicolas Anelka? i know he is not that talked about, but I believe he could just finish of the chances we are creating. A cheeky 6 million bid and we will have strength n depth in the Forwardline.
Thanks {Ed002's Note - Anelka is available and it is pretty much up to him where he moves to. There has been interest from Russia; he could just sneak in with the MLS for next season; France is an option. I don't see why he would not consider Liverpool, but equally, I don't know that they are interested in him.}

Is there a player who Liverpool are not "going for" "interested in" etc?

Would be a decent acquisition to get, we desperately need a finisher, and would be great to get for a loan deal or for a cheap price, and then to get a quality finisher later on

Could be a decent short term option.

Would have been here if Houllier hadn't 'Dioufed up' the deal.

08 Nov 2011 12:09:17
ed are we considering bringing in Pavlyuchenko?
hope not. tnx
{Ed002's Note - Let's assume no.}

08 Nov 2011 12:04:56
Hey Ed is it true that David Villa is unhappy at Barcelona and Liverpool have approached Barcelona to enquire about his availablity? I know its too good to be true but just want your views on it.
Dan Rogers. {Ed002's Note - No. Liverpool have enquired about Villa in the past but he has always made it clear he only wishes to play in Spain.}

08 Nov 2011 10:42:30
hi eds
what's the situation with andy polo
cheers
pragyan

{Ed002's Note - It seems most likely Andy Polo will complete his move to Schalke, although I hear that Hamburg may make one final attempt to sign him.}

Did you not mean Marco Polo?

08 Nov 2011 10:37:04
ed do you think we could get Kagawa or should we look for some one else and who do you think we could get.tnx mate {Ed002's Note - Please use the search function and read the other posts.}

08 Nov 2011 10:32:36
Marc Pelosi? American player signed? whats this all about?

LFC Paddy {Ed002's Note - It has been known since the summer that a move to the Academy was on the cards and this is confirmation that it has been completed. The midfielder is considered to be a very good prospect by his coaches in the US. As for when he will move, that will depend on his parents or a guardian coming with him or waiting until he is 18.}

He was on the bench for reserves against blackburn.

Hes already with the reserves i think {Ed002's Note - I underestand he has been having a trial, yes.}

Hes signed on the bench for the ressies

08 Nov 2011 10:00:23
Eds,

Any chance of Affelay joining? Doesnt seem to be getting a sniff at barca with pedro and sanchex above in the pecking order. I know he's injured at the moment, smashing player though, exactly what we need at the moment, a pacey winger with an eye for goal. Downing doesnt seem to be cutting the mustard at the moment, starting to doubt the clubs apparent need to sign over priced over rated british players when its quality we really require. Cheers.

D16 Red YNWA {Ed002's Note - I suspect that with the player out injured pretty much all of this season it is unlikely that Liverpool would take a chance on him. I am sure that they would want to see him prove himself before making any offer.}

Although i agree with you ED, I can also see the arguement that now would be the perfect time to get him due to less people being interested over his injury but I know this wont happen {Ed002's Note - You are right that it is the time to leap in and buy a player who is out with a serious injury. I imagine there would not be too much opposition for his signature.}

08 Nov 2011 09:34:05
Morning ED's
Ok bare with me, I know they are probably stupid suggestions but iv been trying to wrap my head around a player who can go up front and score and would come to liverpool, I could be off but I think Uche, Huntellar, Kalou and Remy as targets, If they actually are I dunno but I just wanted to ask you guys do you know anything of these players and any possibility of them wearing red?

LFC Paddy {Ed002's Note - It is very difficult to provide anything on random lists of names that the club seemingly has no interest in. Certainly Kalou is available and wants to stay in England - but he will want a regular game. Uche is on loan somewhere for the season and I don't see why Valencia would sell, Huntelaar seems most unlikely and I am very doubtful about Loic Remy. It may be better to stick with those that the club are interested in like De Jong.}

Loic Remy is not good enough and Kalou is neither prolific or consistent enough.

Daniel Sturridge should have been included in the Torres deal. Yet more water we've let pass under the bridge.

08 Nov 2011 09:18:05
Morning Ed's. Do you think that we have a chance to sign alvaro pereira? if he is avalible.tnx mate

{Ed002's Note - I guess if Enrique were sold the club I could see he would be the sort of the player the club could go after.}

08 Nov 2011 08:21:32
Caughtoffside reporting that we are going for Lucas Moura in January. Can the Ed's confirm this and can you also confirm that Santa Clause really does exist
and he wears a big red coat because he supports Liverpool? {Ed002's Note - The author of the article (you should check out the rest of the rubbish he has written as well) has confused Lucas Moura and Lucas Piazon ("the new kaka"). It is most unlikely the either will be moving to Liverpool anytime soon.}

Agree with you ed. There was some confirmed reports in Brazilian media last summer about us enquiring about a player called Lucas and talking to his agent. There are plenty of Lucas' in Brazil though and it was never fully confirmed which Lucas we spoke to.

Rewflo

Correct me if im wrong but hasnt Lucas Piazon signed for Chelsea?

Adzii {Ed002's Note - He is at Cheslea training but is unable to complete his transfer until he is 18.}

I'm surprised that website hasn't linked us with Lucas Leiva. Ignore everything written on that website.

08 Nov 2011 08:17:29
Ed do you think we may be able to get a player off a club that gets knocked out of the champions league? For example if ajax get knocked out then they may be more likely to sell eriksen as they need the money, like suarez last year. {Ed002's Note - It is hopeless trying to explain the same thing over and over again, but here goes. Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and AC Milan have shown an interest in Eriksen. He has already rejected both Manchester City and Chelsea but AC Milan remain the most interested club. Back in mid July someone from the Milan Press Office said he had heard of interest from Manchester United - but I am not aware of any confirmation of that interest. I doubt that January is an option for a move to Liverpool, but perhaps the summer.}

Ed why do you get so upset when people ask questions that have been asked the day before? I thought that was the whole point of this website, to ask and talk about possible transfers? If it annoys you that much why do you bother doing it? {Ed002's Note - The point of the website is not for me or the other Editors to repeatedly answer the same questions because you are unable to bring yourself to read other posts or to use the search function. Folks get extremely pissed off when that happens, and understandably so. It also leads to suplicate questions being deleted - which then upsets those folks who can't be bothered to read other posts.}

08 Nov 2011 08:16:09
Ed do you think that it is possible that in jan we buy a striker and a winger/attacking mid rather than one player who can cover both? {Ed002's Note - We do not know what will happen in January. I have explained that my opinion is that the club will be cover for the wounded and departing and that any obvious deficiencies will be addressed.}

Obvious deficiencies is a very subjective term ed. Lol. As we know from reading these good pages !
The Real KB {Ed002's Note - Perhaps deficiences that are percieved by the management team. I am told the "one for the future" statement is waring a little thin.}

The obvious areas lacking, a real world class striker, a right winger and a creative/attacking midfielder, Kenny has done amazing with what he had, hes spent well in creating a strong squad, he needs these 3 positions filled in january or unfortunately we wont see CL next season or the season after due to next januarys signings taking until the following december to bed in
Jaydee.
Hamsik/Hazard/ erikson/shaquira gomez/llorente

08 Nov 2011 07:51:36
Ive looked on lots of websites and we are apparently looking at Lucas Moura from Sao Paolo
"the new kaka" Is it true and if it is can you see us signing him. Great site keep it up :)

{Ed002's Note - You have your Lucas' confused. The so dubbed "new Kaka" is Lucas Piazon, not Lucas Moura. Piazon is already in England and Moura will not be signing for Liverpool in the short-term I am afraid.}

Paizon is already in England? Where or why?

cheers

Col {Ed002's Note - At present he is in Surrey training with Chelsea. He will complete his transfer when he is 18 (I think in January).}

Why dont Liverpool just buy all the players they can find with the name Lucas?

Teah lets break the bank and buy lucas neill

Matt Lucas!

08 Nov 2011 00:28:49
French media reporting comolli has enquired about ryad boudebouz of sochaux. Nice wide player in david silva mould - have you heard anything on this?

There have been rumours over here in france of our interest in boudebouz for over a year now.Our french scout is a massive fan of the player and its believed there have been talks with the player .He would certainly be a very good signing

08 Nov 2011 00:23:38
Has there been any interest from liverpool in podolski?

I really hope so! We all dream of Llorente and Gomez and Cavani, but Podolski could be an obtainable target. He plays for a side that isn't in CL and isn't going to be next season, so he's used to that uncertainty. get him in January and help out our attack, then bring in his friend Gomez, or a Llorente, or a Cavani if we get CL. A rotating strike force of Suarez, Podolski and Llorente/Cavani/Gomez wouldn't be too shabby...

Podolski is much more like Bellamy with his style of play. Am not sure, whether he'd be a viable option, but certainly is a good player.

He score every match in this year. he is fast very good in the air can easyly play top class football 2 more years. go for him liverpool.

He is only 26,i doubt he wants to retire at the age of 28...quality player,can cover out wide too..great striker of a ball and i dont think we wud have to pay any more than 15mill as koln signed him for 10,so a nice profit for them

...but...but...but, WE'VE got Andy Carroll.

Yes but Carrol is our only striker atm.
Kuyt is now a RM/RW
Suarez playes as a secondary striker and Bellamy more of a LW.
