Eds, i have heard rumours of a buy back clause in Yesil's contract with Bayer Leverkusen being able to get him back after a year, any truth in this? {Ed001's Note - they do have a buy back clause, but there are a number of conditions attached and, most importantly, the lad himself would have to agree to it.}

So we sign a prospect and risk losing him great piece of business that cant even keep young players anymore

Note that the ed said the player has to agree. we got the boy for 1m, 1 of the top prospects around europe, n u expect us to get it just for 1m just like that? of course this clauses are bound to happen.

the clause is there so that incase yesil does not like being in england or liverpool in that case, they have the option to buy him back, just at a lower price i think. that is why the lad have to agree.

of course there will be a risk of losing players. its not just about the team, the money, it can be the weather, the culture, the food or whatever reasons. hes not just another player in football manager, hes a human.

Kaizer

Yeah that's just ridiculous. Even with the conditions.

What is the point of buying these good quality young players only to allow the ability for the player to be brought back by the club that sold him. appreciate there might be a sell on clause, and that conditions need to be met etc but why allow the ability in the first place? {Ed001's Note - because the only reason he is likely to want to return would be if he is not getting in the team. In which case, we wouldn't really want to keep him anyway.}

Is it fair to say if he doesn't want to leave liverpool we'll keep him then? {Ed001's Note - yes.}

WHO cares really? ..he most probably wont be given the chance in the first team,id play him over morgan,pacheco and even borini if it was me....

Let's hope BR gives him a chance to play otherwise we'll get to see him play for a TOP team in Europe and sigh and think 'what could've been', just like it is and was with Alonso, Mascherano, Arbeloa, Aguerro (when rafa could have had him for 10M but had no money) etc. etc...

hi eds, do u know what happened to Kovacic?
did he sign a new contract with zagreb?
i know its not lfc related, but he would be a real gem, if we could get him.. thx for any reply

Have a great day

Norwegian-red {Ed002's Note - The situation with Kovacic is rather complicated although pleanty of clubs have shown an interest in the player. Last summer, Barcelona offered up a small financial payment for him on what I understand to be an 8 year deal with the first two years contracted to Zagreb followed by a six year deal with Barcelona. This would have "overcome" a number of issues with the regulations but was rejected. However, three clubs have been involved in discussions with Dinamo (who have offered Kovacic a full professional contract) and the player's representatives this summer. Two clubs have put offers up for consideration and neither has been rejected. A couple of complexities remain, one of which is how much of an opportunity would he have if he moved - which is why he will remain with Dinamo Zagreb's for an interim period of perhaps a year.}

Is he free transfer in january then? {Ed002's Note - No.}

It is stupid to hope for these kind of talents to end up in lfc? {Ed002's Note - Kovacic won't.}

Kovacic has developed very nice last year, and has gotten a much better physique, and also he looks very comfy as central mid instead of hes old att mid role.... i believe kovacic can be one of the best players in the world, he should move to spain or italy, it will be easie on him than bpl...

Doubt we,ll get the situation for 1 he,s just got out the big bro house and ive not seen much of the other guy

Hey Eds,
first of all fantastic job on the site, we all appreciate the hard work :D

we were linked with Beram Kayal from Celtic, and i think he would certainly be a welcome addition to our midfield. are we still linked with him?
thanks {Ed001's Note - why would a bench filler be so welcome? He is not of interest right now.}

He's in the linup and their best midefielder...
just tends to get injured.

Only linked in your head mate load of waaz

Hi all,
im not so sure on the owners as they do and say things to please at times but having said that they wont let us know details of the club as its private! but...i do however have every bit of trust in rodgers. he wont be signing any bosmans and will push the youth to up their game. plus if they pull their socks up and play well, we prob wont need anyone. i for one agree and hope that once we get 3 pts from a game, our players might actually feel positive and stop with the silly mistakes that cost us pts!
i will ask though that every lfc fan still does their bit of luck and faith and dont change matchday routines, (i.e: kiss the crest, lucky hats/shirts/scarf to be worn, same pint in same pub, walk same route, dont walk over 3 drains in a row etc!)
we must stay positive, if your at game, watching sky or checking the scores, please shout out and cheer coz they can hear you, the players will feel your passion.
we all love lfc and show it in different ways.
were frustrated passionate fans!

Bosman is term used to describe a player signing a pre-contract or is available to sign a pre-contract with another club months(6-3) before that player's contract is due to expire.

i.e. Llorente would be Bosman next summer if he doesn't get sold in January.

Great post , to many people been negative , if we support through the good lets support through the bad . jimbo super red

Amen to that. Sometimes it drives me crazy the negativity surrounding our club... And I constantly hear huge amounts of it coming from our own fans.

What about lucky undies does that count

Documentary being Liverpool 22nd of September

Undies are a must! cant do anything if you dont have your lucky undies on!

Face it, this season's finished before it began. Our only battle this season is to get shot of the latest American jokers who've decided to ransack our club!
BR was well and truly stitched up. As were the fans.

"...the latest American jokers who've decided to ransack our club..." Correct me if I'm wrong, but Hicks and Gillette are now bankrupt? exactly how did they "ransack the club"? I believe that Fenway did the right thing. We have been paying over the odds - for both players and their wages - for far too long now. The line has been drawn. What they appear to be doing is putting down roots for the future. Young players in, young ambitious manager. Our biggest battle this season is to get people like you to face reality. {Ed002's Note - They are not bankrupt.}

Does that mean, if Walcott doesn't sign a new contract with gooners, he can sign a Bosman now? {Ed002's Note - No, when his contract expires.}
