After Gylfi Sigurdson has said he would not like to sign a permanent deal with swansea after brendan rodgers left, he looks set for liverpool talks . I have heard that he is set to join us in the next 10 days, Hope its true because he looks like an ideal player for us with great ability

I expect sig to sign once swansea get their new manager. As brendan rodgers told him speak to whoever that may be first then we will be interested. But sig now has his heart set on liverpool.

Daniel sturridge unhappy about warming chavski bench and wanted to be at euros having a good prem start so would be up for a new challenge, needs a strong manager to teach him BR seem the type to bring out the best in him and drop a bit of the attitude. Any interest at the right price?.
I don't even think Brendan Rodgers can get that lad to pass the ball or keep his head up.
But he'd be great for the right price, although i think Chelsea would like upwards of £15 million for him.

If the rumours about skrtel leaving are true then my frst choice would be to promote coates into the first 11 or purchase kjaer...him and agger have been solid making van persie look crap...and talking about agger he is amazing and he's showing it todayy...

Hi eds, just wondering, is glen Johnson likely to leave? If so, would Gregory Van Der Wiel be a likely replacement? {Ed002's Note - Johnson may leave. Van Der Wiel will almost certainly move in the summer and his preference remains Spain - although it is unlikely that something can be worked out with Valencia. Real Madrid have also shown an interest in the player. Chelsea may maintain an interest but they remain more interested in Azpilicueta. Roma was another option for VDW but he has turned them down.}

{Ed002's Note - Internacional's Oscar has the attention of Barcelona and Inter Milan. Perhaps a little too early for a move this summer. I would be surprised if there were interest from Liverpool. His ownership was in a real tangle with Internacional and Sao Paulo fighting a legal battle over Oscar. Someone suggested that ownership had been resolved but Bertolucci made it clear there were on goining issues. In either case a move is most unlikely.
Leandro Damiao remains of interest to several clubs including Spurs, PSG, Roma, Sporting Lisbon, Inter Milan and Juventus. Lyon, Arsenal and Barcelona seem to have dropped any interest they had in the player. January 2013 may be a more likely time to move than the summer although with bids from Spurs and PSG on the table, Roma or Juventus may force a summer move - and these remain the most likely destinations right now.}

Hi Eds - been reading this site more and more over the past year its great seeing all the rumours. I don't know anybody in the know however a friend close to the club claims that our preferred signings are as follows:
Sigurdsson 7m
Dempsey 6m
Phillips 6m
De Jong 15m (depends on his euro campaign)
He has also said that Soldado, Adam Johnson, Muniain and Diame are also in BR mind. I can not say for sure that this is true just what I've heard hope so would like to see these join the squad.
What are your thoughts on these players Ed's.

Hey, have we looked at Mathieu Valbuena, plays with Marseille in the french league. They finished tenth which is very poor to their standards, with Marseille not playing in europe next year, I wonder if he could look for a move away? {Ed002's Note - Valbuena was for sale over the summer last year and there was interest from several clubs, with Arsenal showing some interest the previous year - due to a enquiry via Jose Anigo that was pushed back at the time. There was also speculation in France that Arsenal would make an approach to Marseille to take Valbuena as a replacement for Nasri but that never happened. Right now the player is not looking to move and Marseille are not looking to sell unless a significant offer were made to tempt them. There has been no interest shown by Liverpool at this time.}
