Ed, who is more likely to join out of Lukaku and Muniain from your sources? and who would you prefer?
I feel Lukaku is to simular to AC whereas Muniain has allot more pace and can also cover the left wing if needed. {Ed002's Note - Don't compare the two. There are options but not driven that way.}

Sky Sports Commentator said he heard Liverpool had 100M to spend. Anyone Know of this???

I have it on very good authority that Liverpool has 50 mil to spend, its part of Kenny s contract negations. Kenny was supposed to be at a charity golf event on May 5th but was called into the club to discuss.
No bombshells but I can also say for sure that
Ngog
Cole
Poulson
And Konchesky are on the for sale list.

Didn t find out that we were targeting but Barton was looked at and is now off the cards. Side note, I did overhear that Steve is a massive fan of Suarez he mentioned that he wants to win everything and is reminiscent of rush in the old days.

All this info is direct from the club

All this talk of strikers! are Liverpool going to buy one or not? Kenny dalglish wants 4 strikers so there can be rotation. We will go in for one, but whether a bid will be accepted or not is up to Athletico Madrid or FC Porto. (Big hint). Instead of going in for a host of squad players, we will go for proven quality. The exception will be Charlie Adam and Marveaux as they are both pretty cheap. Eds?

The Blob {Ed001's Note - I am not convinced that Adam will be brought in now, not now I know Adam is preparing for the possibility of moving area and we are in talks over Sissoko.}

First time poster but been checking the site everyday for the past couple of years. Just wanted to say great job to the ed's but can people please stop asking the ed's to rate the same players chances of joining every day! Its not changing on a daily basis so take the time to read the site rather asking a question that was already asked 3 times already that day!
Lets get back to the rumours rather than getting the ed's to rate 10 players, one of which we maybe have a chance to sign!
Only rumour I know for sure is that we have been looking for quite a while now at Bolton, my guess is it would have to be Gary Cahill but you never know

Predictions - Fulham 2 Liverpool 4 This has come from my son who predicted 3-3 Spuds Arsenal the other week. He's better than Paul the Octopus so if it comes in Euro lotto numbers 2 follow 4 2morrow. He says scorers are Carra, Kuyt, Lucas & Miereles. He's 5 years old & has a sixth sense. ALB

Glen johnson to play in right winger position next season since he not very good in defending his position. Will gave him more attacking position similar to Gareth Bale role in Spur and buy in Gregory van der Wiel to replace him in Right back position or save some money and play John Flanagan those is only 18 but he is good enough and old enough to play

Has everyone seen the trailer of the film coming out later in the year? Called 'Will'. It's about an orphan that travels around the world to get to Istanbul to watch 2005 Champions League Final - King Kenny & Stevie G are in it.

Just type 'Will trailer' in youtube. Looks decent!

Make of this what you will, I'm not a person who has King Kenny's phone number saved in my Blackberry, but I do know someone who is ITK in the footballing world. Apart from going to school and living one road on from Henri Lansbury (Arsenal player on loan at Norwich) and going to college with a guy whose dad is the chairman (or very high up) at Watford (he told me about torres to Chelsea and also John Terry to Man City way before the saga started, he didn't move in the end but was very close believe me) I also know a certain football agent. He is the dad of a guy who I used to play footy with a few years back, obv I'm not going to name him but if you really want to know he did a sponsered walk to the north pole a few months back which was covered by Sky Sports and his son (my mate) is now involved in the youth level of LA Galaxy. So those are my sources all true I wouldn't waste my time coming up with such lies. Both my mate from college and my mate who now plays for LA Galaxy (I saw him a few weeks ago when he was rehabilitating from a broken leg) both confimed Ashley Young's departure from Villa to Liverpool. My mate from college was obv happy because it meant Watford get some extra finances from the Sale of Young.
Henri also told me both Nasri and Arshavin are leaving Arsenal. Nasri is staying in England but Arshavin is either going back to Russia or heading for Spain. He also said that although Fabregas has told anybody personally, that the general feeling around Arsenal is that he's back off to Spain this summer.

nothing new there then after all that!

I didn't say I was going to state a brand new rumour did I? That is the True (unlike most buls**t on here) information I have and I thought I would share it. Funny that you didn't leave a name and have nothing constructive to add.

Stupid response by the guy with no name. I take everything with a pinch of salt Londonredman but either you're telling the truth or you're a brilliant liar LOL!

I love this site and often wonder that all these sources can't be real but this morning I was given information from a very good source. This person was an exec at OT and more recerntly SB. He personally said that Ancelotti is off, Rafa is returning to Spain most likely Real and Chelsea want Mourinho to reunite the team. This may aid a departure for Alonso as he dislikes Jose and left under a cloud with Rafa with the whole barry saga. Nothing guaranteed just seen a few Alonso rumours and this might be something to do with it. Please post in rumours, CGR83

Hey ed, whats the chances of us signing alex chamberlain? {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any interest so perhaps slim.}
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

It is highly unlikely that Liverpool will sign Chamberlain. My source has suggested that he may well sign for United or perhaps Arsenal, but previously Southampton prefer not to deal with Arsenal. Due to the Walcott transfer. Sounds silly but it was shown with Bale, as Southampton ignored Arsenals interest then, hence he ended up at spurs.

Basically, don't be surprised to see him move to United or even Arsenal, they are hoping for him to be loaned back if they do sell. However, with the new board members Arsenal may well be more in the frame than i'm told.

Jesus Navas is coming. £23.5m fee agreed with 4 year contract on £57k a week! !
Reason why Pepe Reina's future was so, so important was that DC and KK are relying on him to help Navas adapt and overcome his well documented home sickness issues. He is the marquee signing we, the fans, crave. :D The start of many lets hope. He will arrive no later than the 25th of July. YNWA, In Kenny We Trust etc. ha

Hi ed's have we shown any interest in osvaldo from espanyol? {Ed002's Note - If you are a Fulham fan then he is being lured by promise of Europa league football. Spurs and Monaco are also interested I am told.}

09 May 2011 16:34:54
Perhaps you editors should make a league table of people weve been linked with, allow people to vote for who the think is coming in, but put the Ed's "liklihood" next to the player. If you keep this at the top of the page, this might stop all the Aguero to LFC type rumours. You can adjust your "liklihood" rating anytime.

Just a suggestion and not really worth posting to the furums. {Ed002's Note - Someone is tracking my performance, I know that.}

These are the list of players that I got told this morning LFC are going to sign.

Possibly, Adam Johnson/ Stewart Downing

Ed do you think we will get a world class winger this summer ? Thank you. {Ed002's Note - "World Class" is subjective of course, but I am sure thatere will be a couple of wingers.}

09 May 2011 15:54:27
Ed 002 you seem to get a bit wound up with your replies! I wouldn't say you were harsh but there is deffo an annoyed sort of tone to some posts! I think its quite funny like an you add another dimension to this site even as a bit of an angrier ed ha ha. Boss mate.

Just had a look at Guillem Balagues website, According to him, it looks as though us and man city will be front runners for Juan Mata's signature. I don't really like Guillem, so I take what he says with a pinch of salt, but credit where credits due, he was right about torres. .

All that means is that A.Johnson is leaving. So either its good news for Liverpool. Especially with Silva already on their books.

who would you prefer ed? {Ed002's Note - Mata.}

09 May 2011 15:16:07

09 May 2011 15:16:38
Liverpool are set to offer £6.5mil for Diego Forlan as short term to get Liverpool back in the title race for next season. Despite his age he is still a world class striker and ideal strike partner for Suarez. This will be funded by the sale of Joe Cole for similar fee. Heard good things about that young forward from St Etienne, looks like one for the future.

Big time Charlie!

Afternoon ed, this rumour of barry ferguson signing is circulating again. . would u know if hes going to sign or not??

09 May 2011 14:40:46
i see people posting that there will be four wingers come in which i realy can't see happening. i think there will be 2 maybe 3 wingers. kuyt can play as that winger he has done for a while now so he can be a back up winger for the right as for the left maxi can also do the same although not his natural role he can play there. it looks like he will be here next season and in all honestly he is a good enough squad player. i predict a left back, 2 wingers and then a striker and/or CB if there is a good enough option available, some one who is young and can fight for a first team place but young enough to be happy as back up.

09 May 2011 14:13:56
Can people stop talking about Sergio Aguero, its gone on far too long now. We practically have our strike force with Suarez and Carroll plus Kuyt as back-up, people need to concentrate on what the Club needs not what you want, maybe if we get Champions League football 2012/ 2013 season then we might see a new striker come in. . But until then I think what the club needs now are quality wingers for both sides of the field and a left-back, they're the main priorities. When Poulsen leaves he'll obviously be replaced by someone better. I wouldn't be surprised to see 5 players come in, 4 wingers and a left-back. Kenny likes players that can play various positions so who knows what will happen.

Ed002, am I detecting the slightest bit of anger creeping in. . . . . . . . . chin up, Auguero said he staying til 2014 now so you only have another 2 and a half years of this question left to go, Glass is half full mate. . .

{Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with anger - simply frustration at some people's complete inability to read other posts. It wastes my time and everyone elses. Eventually it will simply slow down Editorial repsonses to the Liverpool pages or result in posts being deleted.}

09 May 2011 11:15:19
Ed see the way you said agueros transfer fee is not the problem, it's his wage bill? Surely we could match that by getting rid of Joe cole, poulsen and jovanivic ? Amoungst others of course? Is CL a priority fr this player, and do ya believe that this player has any interest in Liverpool? Sorry to bring up this player again, the only reason I'm inquiring is because I originally thought his transfer wage was too high, but if it's due to what he wants paid, surely we can accommodate once getting rid of X, Y and Z? Cheers, red lemon.

Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero, 22, has turned down offers from Manchester United and Chelsea because he wants to see out his contract at the Estadio Vicente Calderon.

Be careful what we wish for Aguero, Sanchez, Bale etc. Will ruin our wage structure. Evolution not revolution needed.

Ed do u think these are realistic targets? Ashley young, benzema, Adam Johnston, juan mata, Enrique, clichy, Charlie Adam, lakuku, hulk? Not all obviously but still.

{Ed002's Note - Not all of them, no.}

09 May 2011 09:56:41
Ed, do you think we will show our intent in the summer window my getting a signing in early on- even within the first few days of window opening? What better way to announce we are back than to announce KK as manager and then announce a major signing eg Sissoko?. . . . . . .( BTW would really like to see M'Vila in the red shirt shirt next season, hes going to be a tremendous player)

JUSTICE FOR THE 96 {Ed002's Note - Show intent to who? The key thing is to bring in the right players to improve the squad at teh right price. I think any expectation otherwise is probably incorrect.}

Representatives from a team in the Premier League have met with Sergio Aguero's agent and had "positive" talks. I've been told it's either Chelsea or Liverpool agents.

Ed, I was just wondering if you could confirm my earlier post which is above, as I forgot to ask if you knew anything about it. The source I have is pretty reliable, gets the majority of things LFC and Spanish related transfers right, Torres from Atletico, Reina from Villarreal, Arbeloa to Real were some of his words before they happened.

{Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with Liverpool and it is simply made up. Both Chelsea and Manchester United have attempted to put packages together to attract the player. If Liverpool wish to do the same they may perhaps try.}

Ed when people keep going on about a "marquee" signing
Did the owners or kenny actually say we would buy at least one "marquee" signing or is it just people assuming {Ed002's Note - Many fans believe that teh owners are stupid enough to want to make a "statement" to other clubs and teh fans by signing Neymar or whoever. Whilst the club will be making changes and whilst, I am sure, the owners will be very supportive, they will not be making any signings just to make a "statement".}

Morning Ed's

I would like your view on the two players below and could one be the "Marquee signing"

Kun Aguero (lot of speculation that we could have been one of the clubs who have made an enquiry) What price would we realistically have to offer 20, 30 40 mill?

Inker Munain again speculation that he is a target but again at what cost 10, 15, 20, 30 mill

Do you think that these have any substance or are they just someones pipe dream?

I think the other question would be. Can we really spend 30 mill on one player and before other comments from other REDS, the cost of Carroll and Suarez was offset by the selling of whats his name to that OAP side (cos they looked like OAP's yesterday.

REDFORLIFE {Ed002's Note - The problem with Aguero is not the transfer fee - it is the salary package that is required. Munianin is a possibility.}

. . . . . .

Morning ed do players have naming rights with the club or something.
Maybe if they let aguero do something like that.
I know were not in the CL but what better way to get top players than signing other top players and Atleast there's a chance of winning the league.

LAVERS

{Ed002's Note - It is way more complicated than you think. Chelsea and Manchester United could come nowhere close to matching his wage demands.}

Morning ed, what's your opinion on young rangers midfielder Gregg Wylde, I havnt seen much of him but is he worth a look ? I believe a few other PL clubs are having a look at him do you know if we (Liverpool) have shown any interest ?

Cheers

ed are we still after Iker Muniain or have the rumours cooled down? cheers {Ed002's Note - An interest has been shown. That is all.}

Been told DC and reps will head to Spain next week to negotiate fees and talk to Juan Mata, Karim Benzema.

Jose Enrique and Ashley Young are all but done. Gary Cahill is nailed on, with Jonjo Shelvey set to go out on loan with Bolton for a season.

If someone meets Daniel Aggers valuation of 10m, expect Phil Jones to arrive.

For CM, Kenny wanted Charlie Adam in January. He now thinks it would be better to go for James McCarthy. However DC wants Moussa Sissoko so expect at least one of the 3.

Now, as Mata is going to be signed as an AM, expect another winger. Kenny is closely monitoring the Adam Johnson situation. This deal is likely to happen but not certain by any means. Stewart Downing and Antoine Griezmann are also possible instead of Johnson.

Heard from a rather reliable source that G.Bale and E.Hazard are on the radar. Personally i would look to see these two at liverpool, I think a 15million pound investment on Anderlechs* Romalu Lukaka would be the best 15million ever spent. YNWA

Liverpool will no longer persue Sylvain Marveaux - and the decision was made a while ago not to move for him. Kenny and Comolli have decided that he isn't capable of dealing with the physicality of the Premiership. The stories are lingering as DC and KD want to use the Marveaux "deal" as a smokecreen to persue other targets. The media and press believe he is a target but this is no longer the case. Ashley Young is the top winger target and Henry and Werner are sorting out the deal personally, which will be for around £16m. Downing is high in the agenda - as is Aaron Lennon. Talks have already been held with Lennon's representatives and a possible swap deal with Joe Cole is on. However he's not the top winger target. Young remains the top target and DC is also looking at Juan Mata as he is intent on getting a big signing to please the fans.

Gary Cahill will also arrive, Bolton have held talks with us, and we've held talks with the player and he is up for it. Deal is expected to be between £12-15m which will see Jonjo Shelvey move on loan for a season to Bolton.

A marquee signing will be made in the Summer - as I said DC wants to get one which will definatly be from abroad. Henry is willin to bankroll a big signing in the window.

Believe me if you want, and mock me if you want. Perfectly fine. Things can change but I know this information - certainly more than the media/press and lazy journalists know.

Moley.

Alright guys, I have been told about a couple of transfers today from a local source.

I have been told that Liverpool want the following players:

Tottenham's Aaron Lennon.
Manchester City's Adam Johnson.
Newcastle United's Jose Enrique.
Blackpool's Charlie Adam.
Rennes' Sylvain Marveaux.

ALL of these are on their way to Liverpool in the Summer.

I have also been told by a different not-so-reliable source that we may be going for the following:

Athletico Madrid's Sergio "Kun" Aguero.
St- tienne's Dimitri Payet.

I am not ITK nor do I claim to be. But through scouring veriors sources this is what I know!
Liverpool representatives are to head to Europe next week. There are a few players that they want to wrap up before a bidding war breaks out. Plus a trip to Italy for the sale of aquaman! These are the European plates I have heard/ seen mentioned with intrest. . Mata, Iker Muniain, Aguero, Sakho, Cissoko, Benzena, Hazard, M'Villa. Obviousy we will not sign them all but these are possibilities from across Europe!
