Blair Mayne YNWA {ed's note - I have been sick of it for ages, but I do think this is the first time the Mail has got something right, the debt was moved a while ago, not sure if they have the dates right like, but this is not new news.}

One final question ED why did they move the funds in the 1st place could it have anything to do with a buyer?

Blair Mayne YNWA {ed's note - I think it was one of the things that forced G&H into the current sales process mate.}

To whoever posted this:

"Stan Kroenke has huge personal wealth. His wife will also inherit the wealth of Warl-Mart some time in the future."

Stan Kroenke has only just completed the purchase of the St Louis Rams (NFL team) after a long and very public period of negotiation. It would be highly unlikely that he would also be looking to buy Liverpool at this time or in the near future.

According to the Daily Mail site, the movement of H+Gs debt into RBSs 'toxic' division was done back in March, although its being made by some to look like it just happened.
So the move is not an indication about where the takeover process might be up to at this moment.

The Mail is as reliable as H&G.

Blir Mayne YNWA {ed's note - I do think they have this right for a change though.}

ED you really are sick of listening to this takeover talk mate now your starting to believe the Mail.

But hopefully you won't have to listen to it much longer then we can all talk about what we are good at football!

George Gillett and Tom Hicks' ownership of Liverpool will end next month after the Royal Bank of Scotland placed the club in its Global Restructuring Group.

The high street giant are expected to seize control of the club on 6 October when their refinancing loan agreement with the Americans expires.

Plans by Gillett and Hicks to refinance were rejected in June whilst chairman Martin Broughton and the Anfield board have sought legal advice to block any plans by the duo to use club assets to remortgage their debts.

RBS are not expected to place Liverpool's holding companies Kop Football and Kop Football Holdings as well as Football UK Ltd, Gillett's loan-security outfit, into administration due to the nine-point penalty the Premier League would enforce.

Stephen Schechter, experienced football financier and chief executive of London-based Schechter & Co, said: "The roulette wheel stops spinning on October 6.

"If you were a prospective buyer, I would call RBS and say I'm interested in buying your loan.

"I would notify Gillett and Hicks that I'm the new lender and there will be no extensions, renewal or modifications of the loan: It is due and payable in full on October 6.

"What that does is stop the game."

The decision by RBS to shift Liverpool to its toxic assets division is the clearest indication yet that the pair's time as co-owners is in its final furlong, with the bank expected to sell the club at a significant knock-down price as early as possible.

However Gillett and Hicks are not prepared to walk away from Anfield with a whimper and are planning to fight any decision to wrestle control of the club from them in court.

Tom Hicks and George Gillett's ill-starred reign as owners of Liverpool looks like having less than a month to run after the club's loans with Royal Bank of Scotland were placed into its toxic-assets division.

The deadline for the refinancing of the owners' personal loans from RBS is 6 October, and that now looks set to be the date that Hicks and Gillett's association with England's most successful club will end. The bank's decision to switch the debts to its Global Restructuring Group is the strongest possible signal that these loans will not be extended.

Most of the names mentioned regarding takeover, have active interest in other permier league clubs. The League rules clearly outlines that there cannot be conflicting intetrest, therefore they must sell their interest in other clubs before and i cannot see that happening quickly.

their is going to be more of the liverpool takeover talk happening in the middle of next week and then their will more the week after. the last week in spetember their is slots free for a major news conference to take place at anfield. the deal for the club will be done before 6th of october

How is it that you know this, i have been told many things, some info from a very credible source who i have had good reliable info from in the past, which in this takeover case has not come to fruitation, info is almost impossible to come by with regard to LFC right now, so why should your info be any more credible?

"No names mentioned but could it be from one of our rivals? Ambramovich or Kroenke or Usmanov or Steve Morgan?"

There's people on here seriously suggesting Ambramovich as our next owner and you're correcting my grammar - get your priorities straight.

OBVIOUSLY NOT AMBRAMOVICH, BUT WHY NOT KROENKE OR USMANOV? DEALS LIKE THIS HAPPEN EVERY WEEK IN THE WORLD OF BUSINESS AND FINANCE. BOTH CANNOT GET FULL CONTROL AT ARSENAL. THEY WOULD MAKE A GOOD PROFIT ON THEIR SHARES AT ARSENAL.

It is possible one of these could 'cut and run' because the 'blue blood' main shareholders at Arsenal will not sell. Both want to own a club in full. This wheeler dealing of 'sports francises' is the future and already happens in the U.S

You have all probably heard that Roy wants to make a January move for Mario Gomez. . now there are rumours of us signing Arda Turan and he said he would love to play for us- although we face competition from Atletico- I knew he was never going to sign for us in the summer but now there are REAL signs of him coming to Anfield. There are also talks of us getting Elia, this would be good as we lack pace on the right. We will not be getting both though as we already have Jova, Babel, Kuyt and Maxi. However, Roy still wants to trim the squad so expect Kyrgiakos and Maxi to leave and probably Gomez and Turan coming in. Lucas will probably go (although i hope not) because of the amount centre-mids we have at the club.

{ed's note - I would put money on the club being sold before the New Year. I have always said I wouldn't expect anything done before the end of October.}
ED, do you mean that liverpool will be takeover by RBS b4 sold to potential owner? {ed's note - I really don't see that happening, I don't think the bank want to take that step and lose the regular interest payments.}
october 6 is the expire date for liverpool to pay the loan, isn't it?How can RBS not to takeover liverpool?is it possible RBS to extent the date again?
{Editor's Note: There are many possibilities - RBS extending the timescales, RBS refinancing, BarCap refinancing, someone else refinancing, the club being sold, part of the club being sold, etc. Also, the Editor who responded initially was coersed in to making a statement about when the club would be sold.}

The more I read the more it looks like Keith Harris, this arms dealer from Germany and the bak being the three people involved in the final takeover battle.
My money is either on the bank or the arms bloke who seems to have some backing.

Hi all,

The rumours of BarCap doing the refinancing are highly unlikely. This is not not from inside knowledge but the make up of the team undertaking the LFC sale.

Sorry to just repeat trash news but i just read on goal that apparently us and man u are interested in benzema. . . oh my god im such a retard i completely forgot about karim since hes been at real. How the hell did that happen? It was obvious mourinho wouldn't want him - striker is the best chance hes got to place his mark on the team and hes not gonna have enough time at real to keep faith with someone if he doesn't get instant success. Benzema is their easiest saleable asset, and i reckon a sneaky bid of 15-20 might have clinched it near the death. Now that its gone to january i doubt thatl b the case and therefore i highly doubt we'll get him, but it would have been quality. . also just a thought but how would we afford his wages?
Oh also the older readers of u might remember AGES ago i said that Capello refused to play micah richards due to his "king of bling" muppet attitude. Well it seems hes reconsidering his exile as he likes his versatility and hes suddenly turned into some huge hulking unit, so don't be surprised if you see him get a call at some point soon. Duckula
