Hi Ed002, did you ever hear anymore on our "Enquiry" over Dembele? Was it just a case of a polite ask and should I not think anymore of it?

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool enquired as to availability and price.}

Could we be looking to making a move on him during the summer transfer window and who do you think he can usurp in the team or is it just a case of increasing the squad depth?

{Ed002's Note - I cannot sensibly predict the timing of transfers. There will be interest in Liverpool players in the summer - Real Madrid may look to Sadio Mane for example and perhaps he would provide a suitable replacement if he were to leave. But my expectation is that Liverpool will look to hang on to their three primary attacking players and perhaps refine the depth - and the problem with the higher-end or higher-cost players is that they want to be in the starting line-up. Certainly Barcelona will have him available for sale or possibly trade in the summer.}

I could see us moving Shaq and Origi on and bringing in someone like Werner. With AFCON midway through the season, there will be plenty of rotation and game time for Minamino and a new signing (Werner) anyways. Also promote Elliot and Curtis Jones to the first team squad to replace Shaq.
I think that gives us a freshness and variety to our attacking depth and a good balance between experience and youth.

Origi will 100% be staying. Klopp won’t be pushing him out of the door and he seems happy to play the role he does. We should be great full, he scored important goals for us and doesn’t kick up a stink.

I like Origi's attitude Shaq but if we can get better players in to push or even dislodge any of the front three we should. i've said before about Origi that I don't think he's good enough which is a shame cos he seems like a good bloke. Liverpool fans certainly shouldn't be grateful to have him, we should be striving to have the strongest squad we can.

Nothing to do with being ungrateful towards Origi mate. Just think Origi himself may look to leave to be a starter somewhere else since he already has a UCL and will soon be a premier league winner. He has the medals, he probably will want more games eventually which he is not going to get at LFC.

I believe we will buy an attacking player with real quality as an option to rotate across the front. Salah mane and firmino play when fit really I’m sure they won’t mind a rotation. Adds proper competition for places. We need to compete on all fronts next season too, city have two top level strikers and 4 wingers, sterling silva mahrez and when sane is fit. I know we can’t complete with that money side, but we can easily accommodate 4 top level forward players, and allow minamino and origi to make up the other two - I reckon shaq will leave.

Cheers fir reply Ed002, appreciate it. To ask we are obviously interested in some degree. Anyway he signs without one of front 3 leaving would you think?

{Ed002's Note - You are getting these little diarama's running around in your head again - it just escalates stuff.}

Fair enough, prob looking into it to much, I should learn to be a bit more passive I guess. I would love him to play for us though.

I’d love to see both Havertz and Martinelli of Arsenal sign (Unlikely I know) in the summer both really really good attacking players. Could end up losing both Shaqiri and Lallana in next window, so some incomings are inevitable.

I like Origi a lot but I think he’d like more games than he is getting plus, I think Martinelli would be an excellent fourth choice attacker who can play anywhere in front three and has years on his side.

Realistically, nobody is dislodging our front three. Mane and Salah are firmly in the top ten in the world and Firmino is the lifeblood of our team (my favorite player, doesn't get enough credit for what he brings to the table) . Shaqiri, Lallana and Lovren will move on. Minamino already plays the Shaqiri role, Keita is still here if he can regain his fitness, Jones is showing he has it in him to step up. We need to replace Lovren. And that's about it. Probably Adrian too. And maybe add left back cover if Larouchi and Lewis aren't ready. (Guerrero comes to mind) Continue to keep our best players away from Spain which has become less and less of an issue as we are dominating Europe and now England and we are good to go. i mean you've got to have plans in place just in case but it doesn't seem likely Mane and Salah would be pushing for the exit just yet. Breaking the transfer record to bring in Havertz or the like just doesn't make sense to me.
