Reading that Adrian could be off to Real Betis (boyhood club) in the summer and Kelleher possibly promoted in his stead. Grabara is still out there, not to mention he who must not be named. Anyone else heard of this? Alisson is never getting dislodged but Adrian has certainly proven his importance this year when given an opportunity.

I think it would be a great move for him as his career is nearly over and probably his last opportunity to play regularly in a top league.

Hes had the most memorable year he could have imagined with us and will surely walk away with a premier league medal after playing his part with a big contribution to our season when he realistically never expected to play much more than a few cup games. he's never going to oust allison so let him move on if he desires and he will forever be loved as an iconic member of this season never to be forgotten.

Best no.2 we’ve had in god knows.
Kelleher isn’t good enough yet sorry.

08 Feb 2020 08:48:52
There is a lot of rumours about some Turkish keeper; Ugurcan Cakir. Maybe he'd be Adrian's replacement.

08 Feb 2020 10:01:25
Kelleher is no where near PL quality let alone Liverpool quality. i love our academy players to make it but he won't! He has conceded 10 goals in 3 matches this season, 7 of them were terrible goalkeeping. Grabara is 3 times the GK kelleher is.

08 Feb 2020 10:15:48
Im hoping he stays for another year or two. Love the guy and is a really good number 2. If you play inplace of Ali for a good amount of games in the PL and fans say that Ali has not been missed as much as expected well you've done something special. But I agree with the other post that if he feels it that he needs to play, let him go. He will be some kind of an icon here for what he did.

Adrian’s cult status reminds me of Erik Meijer and the relationship he had with some Liverpool fans. He was the type of player who celebrated winning a throw in in the opposition half almost as much as a goal and you can see that Adrian is enjoying his time at the club as much as Mad Erik did. He’s done an excellent job and if he does leave then will be fondly remembered.

08 Feb 2020 18:38:28
Adrian seems happy, and has been reliable. I’d keep him for another 2/ 3 years at least.

08 Feb 2020 18:49:52
Hes 32. How on earth is this "his last chance to play in a big league"?

08 Feb 2020 21:56:26
Great backup, if he leaves he would need to be replaced by experience as kelleher is still learning. lizardon as clueless as your post implies, I'm sure klopp sees more in him then you.

09 Feb 2020 07:07:33
I love Adrian more than I could have imagined when we signed him. I'll be gutted if he leaves after just a year.

09 Feb 2020 09:03:48
You know nothing about what klopp thinks of him, absolutely NOTHING. Go watch the 10 goals again and tell me who's clueless.

09 Feb 2020 11:26:56
Again clueless, klopp has spoken highly on numerous occasions, referring to him as "an outstanding talent" and has said he is very happy with he's progress. Maybe your right we should get rid of the youngster for making a few mistakes.

09 Feb 2020 14:42:10
Livergat I’m not commenting on Kelleher s talent however Klopp says great things about everyone partly because he’s a decent chap and partly because he knows it will mean the club gets bigger fees that he can then spend on getting better players etc. See Solanke and Wilson for examples.

09 Feb 2020 17:25:36
I really don't want to see Adrian leave, in his short time at LFC, he is part of our history, and will not be forgotten, if he does leave to get regular game time, I am sure every Liverpool fan will wish him the best .

09 Feb 2020 18:50:29
@Lizardon, what are you talking about? Kelleher has actually played 4 senior games this season and kept 2 clean sheets. I've also watched him play for Ireland U21 for whom he kept 6/ 10 clean sheets. He is an excellent young goalkeeper including being very good with his feet, which is something Liverpool and Klopp value. The 10 goals you're talking about were 5 vs Arsenal and 5 vs Villa. I remember the games clearly and nobody blamed Kelleher. But especially for you, I just watched the highlights again.

Vs Arsenal:
Torreira and Martinelli goals = both good saves scored from the rebound.
Martinelli's 2nd was our young defense ripped apart and nobody could've saved.
Milner's mistake for 4th.
Willock's worldy!

Vs Villa:
Hourihane freekick that her reacted a second late to because a Villa player was running in on it.
Boyes OG that looped horribly over him.
Kodija's 2 goals again from poor defending leaving him totally exposed.
Wesley's goal where he covered his angles but beaten by a good finish.
Those last 3 were all when our young team were valiantly chasing goals and got caught out. If anything he kept the score down vs Villa with some good saves.

Either you know nothing about football or just see the goals very differently and maybe care to explain your slander?

10 Feb 2020 05:15:49
I expect Turkish keeper to come I for 15m. He young and a First teamer.

10 Feb 2020 07:59:22
If Adrian was to leave, I'd take Ben Foster in a heartbeat if Watford get relegated and he was happy to be #2 and maybe help with GK coaching.

He's 37 soon and still a killer GK with a wealth of knowledge to impart to the younger guys.

10 Feb 2020 10:04:20
Lizardon, can I suggest that you go to the Liverpool FC website and read an article entitled “Behind the badge: 18 months inside the LFC goalkeeping department”? You will see that in training and through his appearances in the U23s and in the 1st team, Caoimhin Kelleher has earned the trust of John Achterberg, goalkeeping coach; his assistant Jack Robinson; and Jurgen Klopp.

11 Feb 2020 01:48:23
@Irishman. If you're quoting me you should at least get it right. I said regularly which was the one word you left out. Also he's 33 not 32 and my point is that if he stays with us another season then next summer he'll be 34 and how many options are going to be on the table then from clubs looking to offer him first choice position when he's going to be 35 not long after signing. I can't think many la liga, serie A, prem, bundesliga top sides will be realistically giving him that chance while now his options are better he might want to take it. A season of allison playing every game next year and Adrians stock will fall much more.

11 Feb 2020 15:08:42
Take alisson out the equation and adrian is the best keeper since pepe Reina. I really hope the Turkish keeper rumour isn't misinterpreted that karius is coming back 🙈.
