Hello Eds, hope you all are doing well.

During last summer's transfer window, our club correspondents were reporting about Liverpool wanting to sign a left sided player who would provide cover to positions on the left flank. An year later we are still in the same place as it is one area we could strength on. Saka would have made a lot of sense but he has since then signed a new deal at Arsenal. Are you aware of any player/ s of such profile LFC are looking at currently? Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Saka was not going to be an option. Liverpool looked at Cantwell as a replacement for Lallana but that interest has gone with the financial issues arising from the pandemic. Rishica is a player who could cover the wings but perhaps Minamino could do that without spending money. If the club want a back up left back and don't trust the two at the club, then some one like Juan Castillo might be worth looking to.}

Cheers for the round up. Do you reckon we could make a move for Willian this summer?

{Ed002's Note - No I don’t.}

Might move for Rashica if Werder Bremen get relegated and Shaqiri leaves.

Thanks Ed002 for the insight. IMO, Minamino has struggled due to his lack of pace and lack of physicality. Obviously Klopp sees something in him. But playing on the wings does not help the team due to his obvious lack of pace.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool cannot keep adding players without others leaving. If Minamino is not up to it he needs to be moved on.}

If AC Milan go back for Antonee Robinson or even another player in that position then I wonder if Laxalt would be available.

{Ed002's Note - It would be a viable solution but interest in him from Liverpool has gone - but he is available.}

Powerful, I respectfully disagree with your assessment as I feel it is a bit early to judge him just yet. Klopp is very slowly integrating him into the team. He has the skill and ability to be a really strong contributor. Personally, I don't think he should be playing on the wing, I see him more as a Firmino backup and eventual replacement. As a side note, I'd still LOVE to see Julian Brandt come to Liverpool. I think he'd be an extremely strong addition to the front line and could fill in nicely for Salah or Mane.

sorry stone mate ya wrong. he's a good player but not enough. we need better quality and we prob already have it at the club, if not should be able to buy it as the best footy team in the world.

respect rsanchez. thank you for your reesponse.

Also, I'd like to say that for the future, I'd absolutely love to see Weston McKennie at Liverpool. I think he has tremendous potential.

also powerful and rsancez, thank you for the differing opinions. respect to you both.

I agree with stone. Abit more service an quicker reactions minamino would be class. Brandt would be a great signing but can't see bvb letting him go.

Nice to see posts with strong disagreement being received with respect and manners, as often we can forget to argue our points without a narrow minded approach myself very much included. Fair play guys, refreshing to read.

Minamino may turn out to be lacking in pace and power. However .

Robbo, Fabinho, Ox and others have all been integrated after months of being at the club. Remember all the posts to the eds asking what was wrong with Fab. I can't judge the kid yet because he hasn't had the time. Klopp and the player deserve to be given time to develop. Until that time its got to be support we give them.

Minamino looks pretty pacey to me and although he’s not done anything so far in a Liverpool shirt his chances have been minimal. You also have to factor in that he is coming to a new country and Klopps track record with slowly integrating players into the team and I’m personally not going to write him off just yet.

I'm not worried at all about minamino being a flop, I sense he has the tools perfectly suited to follow the same route as the others that klopp avoided using until ready. I can fully trust that minamino will turn into another great addition as the people responsible for bringing him know exactly what he can bring to fit this team. He certainly seems like he's got a great attitude so that only adds to the potential level he can hit.

agreed. patience is required, looks like he is going down the Robertson/ Fabinho route, and we all know how that turned out.

Guess we'll see today how we do without Firmino and with a more attacking midfield - exciting.
