Hi Ed's we are linked with Leandro cabrera today is this realistic, and if so is he rated at all?

{Ed002's Note - Leandro Cabrera (CB) Real Betis have been discussing a potential loan for the 29 year old Uruguayan journeyman with Espanyol but they prefer a sale.

It would make little sense for Liverpool to be looking at a 29 year old non Home Grown player who is not the desired first choice player Klopp is keen on.}

Thanks for the reply ed, sorry to ask but who is klopps first choice?

{Ed002's Note - Diego Carlos would be first choice but Liverpool are not able to fund a move at this time.}

Do u think there will be an alternative too carlos, he looks good but too pricey.

{Ed002's Note - I understand Diego Llorente but there is no money right now.}

Thanks ed this C.V. is sucking the soul out of football not just in the stadium but also the transfer market . We win the league after 30 years and we are feeding of scraps too stay competitive.

{Ed002's Note - It was unexpected and the loss of revenue did not support the business model used by the club. I would think pretty much all PL clubs will make a loss this season.

" I would think pretty much all PL clubs will make a loss this season. " And that's the sad reality of it all. Why if no one is bought and/ or sold this summer, the loonies with the "Klopp and FSG out" and "I can't believe we don't have the money" bit should restrain themselves.

{Ed002's Note - PL clubs are not all in the same boat of course. Some will make a loss but still have money to spend, some will make a loss but will have to sell to buy, a couple will make a loss and figure out how to get back in shape FFP wise etc..}

Chelsea have a lot of players on loan and in current squad that can be sold plus already money rich so they could load up big time. Same story with man city players too sell big dough them 2 will definitely be splashing .

Ed 002, how do i find your definitive response on why there is no money for Carlos? I understand that the current global economic situation has seriously interfered with the plans of well run businesses who are not a bottomless pit of cash BUT surely if we sell, Carlos can be brought in part ex for Shaq? Shaq's got to be worth 15-20, Grujic the same or more, ditto Wilson.

{Ed002's Note - If LIverpool sell players and the club agree to use that money for transfers, then deduct 25% and there will be a small budget. The finances are not in relation to any one player - I have explained that Liverpool have financial commitments to be met - perhaps search on "commitment" or "payment".}

I would think Chelsea, United and especially City will be active in the transfer market. The Guardian reported this morning, Pep will be given £150m!

Ed002, I understand the finances in the present are being impacted pretty severely by everything going on right now, but we haven't really discussed a transfer for Carlos involving deferred payments. Is something like that off the table with Sevilla because they want/ need the cash from a potential Carlos sale?

{Ed002's Note - The club don't want to be building further debt. The CEO has made everything clear as well.}
