Any truth we have rejected a £17m bid from Villa for Origi?

{Ed002's Note - I really don’t know.}

He's worth more than that. If true, I'm not surprised it was rejected.

I hope Villa low ball us, Edwards might get the message, we should pay a fair price for Jamel Lewis, and play ball with Norwich, they play football,
I think Origi will go and Brewster will take his place on the subs bench, he has a very bright future,

Cmon Kop That, if you see a house you like selling for 100k do you honestly say ‘that’s a fair price’ and hand it over? Or do you negotiate by lowballing at 80 grand in the hope that you can end up paying 90k?
Footballers sell for millions so there’s no point in automatically coughing up a ‘fair price’. Norwich are not under duress and can’t be forced to sell if they don’t want to.

{Ed0666's Note - I thought the same thing. Why would anyone pay the price quoted for anything apart from if it’s a fixed price. My mum would barter in Harrods If she could.

Im not so sure origi is worth much more than that. he's hardly a starter and offers us 5 or 6 goals a season while not giving much more to the team in his play. Before everyone reminds me how important his goals have been I feel we could get better players to take his place. Last season his goals were not vital when we needed one so we can't live off what he did the year before. Every goal this season was in games we either scored 4 or 5 goals and never in the moments we needed him to turn a game so let's look to the future instead of letting the past cloud our judgement. Danny Murphy gave us a few magic moments in big games but that didn't mean he deserved to stay when we could go and get better players like xabi Alonso for example.
