Iv read it will likely be a lot longer than two months before we see Joe back, apparently his tendon has separated from his knee cap and front of his shin.
An injury common in basket ball, that can often result in players not returning to the previous fitness level for up to a year.

Where are you getting 2 months from? Everything I’ve read says he’ll be lucky if he plays again this season.

I know bleacher report is not the most reliable source for Liverpool news but they had a very good article talking about Joe's injury what causes it what the recovery time is and how it's impacted other athletes notably basketball players. it definitely sounds like somethings in which he could be healed in three to four months but the actual recovery time to get back to full performance could be a good year.

He is unlikely to play again this season.

I just had a look at Joe's injury record, 6 injuries in the past 5 seasons with 4 seasons missing more than 100 days through injury and a total of 796 days out due to injury over the past 5 seasons. Wow that is a lot for a lad who is only 23. If anyone deserves a break it is our Joe - get well soon and hope to see you fit and strong for next season.

{Ed001's Note - almost all of the injuries are picked up on international duty as well aren't they?}

He’s missed 796 days already? Could be close to 1000 after this injury.

Different training methods with different coaches has to be 1 of the main issues with players getting injured whilst on international duty ed? Seems strange that players are mostly fit for their clubs and then go away for 2 weeks playing pointless international friendlies and get injured, usually in training.

On a seperate note, what ever happened the guy that was saying Klopp's training methods injured players? He's gone very quiet now.
