Hi Ed's, Sven Botman seems to be a name that has popped up again today. It seems we have been taking to his agent. have you heard anything on this one? Searched but this appears to be a recent development. Thanks.
{Ed002's Note - Sven Botman (CB) Agreed move to Lille as a GM replacement in ther summer - Marseille and Inter were also interested. If Liverpool want him Lille will look to a huge profit on the small amount paid and they will not want to sell a player who has only been at the club a few months. However, it makes more sense than most of the suggestions but I don't know of any approach to Lille. Clubs speak with agents all of the time.

Gonna be honest here I’ve nvr heard of the guy! Ed would he do the job we need him to do is he rated as player etc?
If the interest did come to sumthn?
{Ed002's Note - Ajax promoted Timber and Rensch ahead of Botman and let him go just because they thought he was too slow for their game - but he is well respected as a defender. He would not be what Klopp really wants but he is young and has experience at a decent level.}

It’s his lack of pace that makes me wonder if LFC will pass on him. We play a high line, defenders need to have decent pace unless they ready the game incredibly well which usually takes experience.

If he has no pace he won’t fit into our team. Not more than 4 days ago, people on here where slating Rhys Williams for lack of pace against West Brom?
