Morning Ed2. One for you if you're about. You are the man for all things transfer related and value your opinion. So I guess my question, or questions for you is regarding Saka. If Mane were to leave do you believe Arsenal's resolve would be tested if a "decent" offer came in from us, or is he simply off limits so to speak? Secondly do we or have we previously held any interest in the player? Lastly, in your opinion do you believe he would make a good replacement, if say Mane did in fact depart this summer?

{Ed002's Note - If Mane departs then I would expect Jota to take his place and another versatile forward added. It won't be Saka who the club have shown no interest in and Arsenal won't want to sell. I could see Klopp looking to one of the players he has as favourites like Dembele, Traore of Sarr - but I think Liverpool could well look to Sancho as I have said before - but there are huge add on costs that would be a problem.}

Thanks for the reply Ed2. That’s enough for me. If you say we have shown no interest at all and Arsenal as I thought wouldn’t be open to selling, then we can safely scratch him off completely. I would say If Klopp is going for the other names mentioned above, I’m hoping he goes for Sancho. He might not have his fans on here but transfer fee aside he has the higher ceiling. I know you mentioned before that Mane won’t command the transfer fee us fans would like what with C.V., plus the big clubs have other targets as their main priority. So, it appears it would take a sell of Mane and some fringe players to complete such a transfer. Either way it’s an interesting summer ahead with a few players needing to be moved on and few brought in. I just hope we don’t hang onto players and loan them out again with no plan or intentions of integrating them into the side.

If Mane departs, I don't think we would get a massive amount for him in this current market. At the same time, I don't see us spending a large amount on any potential replacement with us having made significant losses this year.

Could we be looking at loaning players this summer Ed, possibly including options to buy, in order to delay the prospect of buying players until our finances are better?

If Klopp's choices are Sarr, Traore or Dembele to replace Mane, I'd rather keep Mane.

Are united still in the ring for sancho eds?

{Ed002's Note - Jadon Sancho (RW) Manchester United messed everybody around last year and he has again been offered elsewhere to those who had previously enquired, but whilst Real Madrid are not interested, Chelsea may be willing to work directly with his club to secure a transferrather than his agent. If Manchester United want him they are going to have to agree a deal before the summer. I would not be surprised to see interest from Liverpool but they have financial issues which could impact any offer.}
