Looks like LFC are not signing Kabak afterall. Fabrizio has confirmed this is the case, he'll be sent back to Schalke.

He's also confirmed the signing of Konate, medicals completed etc and just waiting for Lpool to pay his release clause, a quoted figure of €35million. So not done but obviously if a termination clause is activated then they have to release the player (which is what is happening here) .

First signing of the season looks to be done then.

I know a few are thinking we are making 3-5 signings this year but I think we'll only sign Konate and 1 midfielder. Money is tight after all.

I'd be happy with that providing we get to keep the remaining first team players.

Yep has to be paid in full and that could well be the only player we can afford atm. Any other buys will likely come from sales or clubs taking long payment terms. Shame we couldn’t get £25m for Gini.

Seems Konate is the CB of choice, Kabak did ok but never showed too much for me to suggest he could be top, I hope he does however and thank him for his efforts.
