Mbappe - I keep reading articles that we may be after him, there always seems to be the link with Lebron James thrown in.

This has got to pipe dreams, the money him and his agent would command we could get 3 world class players. Much prefer that.

Agree3 Disagree0

We're not.

26 Jun 2021 12:55:39
3 world class players like who?

26 Jun 2021 14:23:19
I would get Rice (admitadly not wc yet) as Henderson replacement

Sterling is going cheap apparently (people have there own opinion of him but I would put him in that bracket and would have him back)

Saka at Arsenal

I did say WC but I probably should have said WC with the correct coaching

We need these players to shore up the future.

{Ed002's Note - Not going to happen.}

26 Jun 2021 14:33:19
About as likely as Mbappe

What is our market then?

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea what you mean.}

26 Jun 2021 15:03:11
Rice, you’re looking at £70 odd million and can probably throw that figure at Sterling and Saka, give or take a few million. I don’t think our pockets stretch that far to repeat that transfer figure three times over. Unless you know something we don’t?

26 Jun 2021 15:19:29
Rice, Sterling and Saka?

Elsie you must be Gareth Southgate behind that keyboard, aren't you?

26 Jun 2021 15:28:35
Ye but I’ve actually got an idea 🙃.

26 Jun 2021 15:31:01
It does seem ambitious but you name me better young players that could be put in the first team (accustomed to the prem) . It’s difficult. Why shouldn’t we get the best players before our rivals.

26 Jun 2021 15:25:51
Obviously I don’t know something you don’t, all I was getting at was to plow all the money into Mbappe would be ridiculous considering what we could potentially get to feather the squad.

Surely it’s not out of reach to get either Saka or Rice this window with sales of some fringe players.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool has no interest in them.}

26 Jun 2021 15:44:32
ElsiesArmy. Harvey Elliot and Curtis jones.

26 Jun 2021 16:11:06
Whoever said Declan Rice and Sterling do one.

26 Jun 2021 16:58:53
I never want to see Sterling play in a Liverpool shirt ever in any capacity ever again and I’m sure that view is shared by a majority of supporters.

26 Jun 2021 18:46:27
I get the resentment against Sterling

But Rice and Saka could be the future for an ageing/ poor midfield.

26 Jun 2021 19:04:56
ElsiesArmy. I agree with you on Saka and Rice. Both have great potential. My dream would be Bellingham next season to be bedded in as Henderson’s successor.

27 Jun 2021 02:10:17
I agree on Bellingham, Alonso, get him in asap - the lad is quality. Saka will probably be better than Sancho and Rice would be a great addition. Sterling though can never - EVER - play for us again! I will never forgive him for the "songs" that were recorded at his behest.

27 Jun 2021 05:44:11
rice, sterling and Saks
World Class. wow.

27 Jun 2021 06:29:04
Rice and Saka would be two of them most expensive signings ever, we are not in a position to be spending that type of money, nor is Rice needed nor worth it imo. He’s not a patch on Fabinho who is in his prime at 27, it’s not like he’s mid 30s and we need to replace him.
Saka, we have missed the boat on (if that rumour had an ground when he first broke through and hasn’t signed a contract) but I do really rate him but Arsenal would be wanting £100m plus and we should be trying to push Elliot through as if we don’t what's the point in signing youth players or having a youth set up?

27 Jun 2021 08:39:33
4 or 5 years down the road and folks still don't grasp that Klopp prefers to develop players rather than splash the cash on ready made stars.
Transfer fever at work.

27 Jun 2021 11:42:10
Where would this site be without transfer fever, Flash? XD What's wrong with a bit of friendly speculation? I happen to agree with you, though it's still interesting to discuss different rumours and links with players!

27 Jun 2021 13:20:31
It’s more than resentment with Sterling. The way he agitated to get out of the club threatening to go on strike, the songs that he sung celebrating a Liverpool supporter being put into a coma and mocking Hillsborough. He’s vermin.
