Hi Eds, I've read that we've agreed a deal to sign Gleison Bremer from Torino. Is there anything in it. I'm thinking more importantly we need a midfielder and an attacking player but he's a young defender so maybe there's something in it.

Would doubt we’d be looking to add another defender given the summer investment and Gomez and Van Dijk returning.

Seems to be just lazy journalism recycled from 12 months ago.

This is an old link that’s been recycled. There’s no way we’re spending whatever money we do have on another centre back, given that we have VVD, Matip, Gomez, Konate and Phillips in the squad. It would make no sense unless one of those was being sold.
