Karius supposedly in talks with Greuther Furth from the Bundesliga over a move in January. Source: whoever is doing the commentary on the Dortmund game.

Good luck to him. Hope he can rebuild his career.

Agree VVVV - the lad paid a heavy, heavy price for one bad game and it was a game were he took a hefty smack on the head too.

Time for him to move on to hopefully better things.

WDW, yes it may seem like he paid a heavy price for a very important game. It was very unfortunate but he needs to shoulder some responsibilities. If he doesn't feel fit to continue, he should have asked to be subbed out. So, ultimately he did cost us the game or at least he's the scapegoat.

He didn't do himself any favors as his loans stints did not work out well at all. So, I suppose that's why he doesn't really have suitors. I do pity him but he should just leave and try to restart his career.

He was always iffy, we’re you ever confident with him between the sticks? The CL final just summed up that he wasn’t good enough and his after showed he didn’t really have the mentality to improve. Not good enough, earnt a lot of money, I’ll reserve my sympathies for those that deserve them.

DAPred you do know what concussion is? The person carrying one does not know that. Good luck to the lad.

I don't agree that he was always "iffy", Seano_. I thought he started his career here very well and at some points, I thought we had unearthed a gem, especially given his age when he arrived, he only just turned 25 after he got here.

I can excuse (but never forgive, sorry, that's just me! ) the CL final but he seems to be more interested in his image than his performances - LK1, social media etc.

That's why, IMO, he's never recovered from 2018 either with us or with other suiters. The most important attribute in any form of life is the few inches between the ears, and I just don't think Karius has the right approach.

I wish him well and I hope he learns what's really important.

If he’d not been concussed and the game had taken a different path he would possibly be regarded a lot more kindly

As has been said @DA, someone who has been smacked on the head should be the last person on the planet to make a decision about fitness to carry on.

I think the ‘iffy’ is a retro thing to distance ourselves from ever thinking he wasn’t a bad goalie. He is nowhere near the best but he is by no means as bad as the story has it.
