Liverpool have contacted lewandowski.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 May 2022 13:17:16
Your call on diaz was impressive but no way am I willing to believe we are going for lewendowski haha sorry mate.

27 May 2022 13:26:40
Does Klopp need help with his coffee machine?

27 May 2022 14:04:08
Klopp might have contacted him though, they are pretty close.
It doesn't mean that they discussed him rocking up at Liverpool, just that Klopp maybe phoned or messaged him.

27 May 2022 14:32:03
At 33 I think that’s far too old, he’ll be 34 this year, it’s a straight no for me. Specially as Bayern want a fee of nearly £50m.

27 May 2022 15:00:49
I think players like Ibrahimovic, Messi, Suarez, Modric, Thiago Silva and Ronaldo have all proven in recent years that the age at which the truly elite players are finished, is not like it once was. Lewandowski has another 3 years at this level. If there is even a shred of a chance we could sign him, we'd be mental not to. You're talking about the best forward in Europe over the last 3 seasons. I'll drive to Munich and fetch him FOC if Ward can pull off the transfer fee and his wages 👀.

27 May 2022 15:03:46
What do we want Lewandowski for, we have enough programme sellers already.

Just been on LBC Radio, French Police are expecting upwards of 40,000 Liverpool Supporters. They also report Paris is a Sea of Red everywhere.

27 May 2022 15:21:43
Keep saying it! It’s a mad world when 32/ 33 your old and finished!

27 May 2022 15:29:23
Mane and Lewa swap? 🤔😉.

27 May 2022 15:34:10
Mane to Bayern, Lewandowski to Liverpool?

27 May 2022 16:03:42
Mane reported as being in on the verge of joining Bayern and now Lewandowski to us. There might be something in this. Lewa is simply world class, even at 33 years old. I would take him in a heartbeat.

27 May 2022 15:56:29
Mane and Lewa swap would be wild!

27 May 2022 18:09:57
Sounds like tit for tat, considering Jurgens recent comments .

27 May 2022 18:42:19
So pay a nearly 34 year old probably more than Salah is looking and a £50 million transfer fee into the bargin? I have to say it doesn't make a lot of business sense or sense in general. Lewandoski's numbers are impressive indeed, in GERMANY! He certainly won't be getting close to that in the PL. If LFC are even actually considering Lewandoski (which i doubt) i wish they would put as much effort and money into keeping Salah, who in my opinion is the best forward in Europe and he's considerably younger. 👍.

27 May 2022 19:23:56
At 34 he has what? maybe two years left at the top? He will be losing pace during that time and takes longer to recover from injury. The transfer fee will be in excess of £50m and he’ll want the thick end of £350’000-£400’000 a week. There’s literally no value to be had. If we’re going for a centre forward let’s at least go for one with miles left on the clock, like Martinez or Nunez, not an injury prone carthorse like Kane or a bloke who is entering the twilight of his career like Lewandowski.

{Ed0666's Note - we’ll said mate

27 May 2022 19:24:47
Lol sure they have, come on Akira 1892 you can do better than that!

27 May 2022 22:49:01
I'd take sane for mane.

{Ed0666's Note - Kimmich?

27 May 2022 23:50:22
Mane is staying.

28 May 2022 00:06:34
Kimmich and we would have best midfield in the world.

28 May 2022 00:59:25
The thing i don't get is fans saying "we should sign a player with a lot of years left" but then often the same people are saying "we should sell {insert name} whilst his value is at his peak". So sign a younger player just to sell them in their prime?

Are we the accountants or the supporters? When Fergie signed Van Persie he knew he had 2 years left at best with his injury record. Still did it though because Fergie was a winner and winning one league title at the expense of £30m was more important to him than worrying about sell on value and spending his entire career in a perpetual cycle of transition.

I want to win trophies. If Lewandowski only gave us 2 years, so bloody what? He'll score 70-80 goals in 2 years and we'll probably clean up in terms of medals. If he is a realistic option and we turn it down to sign a 25 year old for €30m just to sell him in 4 years anyway, what is the point? Are we just here for the banter or do people want to actually try and go past Man City?

28 May 2022 01:55:30
It’s very risky getting players at the end of their career coming to the premier league. Lewa is a class act and has been in Germany for so long but the premier league is a different kettle off fish. Shevchenko to Chelsea springs to mind and why would pay silly wages on a 33-34 year old when we can pay mane who has shown his value again to Liverpool. All this talk off mane leaving is nonsense. He loves Liverpool and we love him.

28 May 2022 07:20:42
Man Utd were awash with money, Liverpool aren't. Back then they were the Man City of the Premier League. Whether you think fans should be accounts or not, some will consider the financial side of things. Lewandowski will not score 40 goals a season with Liverpool, especially in the PL were they try to defend unlike Germany.

28 May 2022 10:28:43
Lewa makes sense if there is no net outlay ie swap for Sadio. Esp. if latter has told the club, like Lewa has, that he will not be signing a new contract (as is now being reported by some) .

It gives us 1-2 years to bring in or develop the player we want long term.

28 May 2022 12:39:15
Totally agree with MK. Lewa is one of the best 5 players in the world and free of serious injury atm. If there's a chance we must take it. Sadly like Mbappe and Haaland doubt it. Only factor may be him missing Klopp.

29 May 2022 15:23:43
Lewa looks like he's off to Barca.
