Question for ed002, would you say its unlikely that we’ll sign anymore players this summer as things stand? Cheers.

{Ed002's Note - As you know, Klopp has said that is it. Or perhaps he is not being completely honest?}

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jul 2022 11:26:05
All depends on if the OX leaves (imo) .

15 Jul 2022 11:47:47
Will we dip our toes back in the transfer window or not. to be or not to be. That is the question. The whole transfer window is a mystery, wrapped in an enigma, wrapped in a lie.

Somewhere out there Jude Bellingham is eating a sandwich right now, Matheus Nunes is playing tennis with a friend, asensio is booking flights to Milan, Dembele is watching telly avoiding training, Traore is bench pressing a food truck.

All unsuspecting a moment when klopp and his team of goons pull up in a high speed, blacked out van and bundle them in. Admittedly I don't know how transfers work but this must be pretty close to how they do it.

Something big is coming I tell you. Something real big.

*Weeks later, transfer window closes with Liverpool signing a 4th choice 39 year old goalie.

@Spaceman, what if Keita leaves?

15 Jul 2022 13:50:41
Hahahaha brilliant Davey - please also tell what Otavio and Sangare are doing right now?

15 Jul 2022 14:01:38
Keita will nvr leave! Nobody wants him he’s here till he’s no more time on his contract.

15 Jul 2022 14:22:47
That’s Ox not leaving either as he’s just done his hamstring.

{Ed014's Note - there’s a surprise!

15 Jul 2022 14:35:37
Otavio is in Nandos because he loves Piri Piri chicken regardless of South African ownership.

Sangare is working hard in preseason. Don't ask me why the others aren't.

15 Jul 2022 15:28:22
Of course Klopp is going to say we are finished. If he does not say this he creates a frenzy. I'm unsure what the truth actually is, but it feels like we are prepared to go into the season with this squad but would love to still make an addition to the midfield.

{Ed002's Note - If he continues to struggle so much with the truth he would best say nothing.}

15 Jul 2022 15:58:37
Pity Boris didn't take your advice, Ed02.

15 Jul 2022 16:11:10
Ox really done his hamstring. absolute joke. Is he a free next season? Get shut.

15 Jul 2022 16:15:21
I'm inclined to agree with Ed. I suspect he's not telling the truth.

15 Jul 2022 17:53:04
Ox is a complete waste of space and has been for years, same as Keita. £100m blown on those is incredible really. What exactly have they contributed. Totally disagree with Klopp’s midfield comments. He’s obviously blind.

15 Jul 2022 18:16:50
One of OUR players gets injured representing OUR team and gets lambasted for it. You'll never do what?

15 Jul 2022 17:12:39
Ed002 I suspect with nothing but honesty, you’d never make a poker player ?.

15 Jul 2022 19:30:10
Touche, Ed. The reality of being a gaffer is that he needs to address the media as a way to maintain a relationship with the supporters, and how he does that has implications on what kind of distractions could surround his squad. There's a technique to it. I'm not cool with the evolution of public relationships as a way of managing "image assets", because to me it's just become jousting with an equally disingenuous media, but I begrudgingly accept it as something that is part of managing a squad.

15 Jul 2022 19:45:33
BILLYSHANKLEYYNWA.
The answer to your question seems to be moan alone.

15 Jul 2022 19:58:11
Well said.

15 Jul 2022 23:00:42
I have a question ed002 if I may.
If your feeling tight lipped on any possible incomings, is there any chance of Sparky dropping us a couple of Hints for old times sake mate?
He’s been kept quiet for a long time.

{Ed002's Note - Sparky is struggling with the heat at the moment, but I will ask tomorrow.}

15 Jul 2022 23:46:45
@HessleRedTom1980, if it’s a choice between Klopp or you managing the team, I’m happy with the way things stand.

Out of curiosity who, apart from yourself obviously, would you get to manage the team and who would you replace Ox and Naby with and how would you integrate them into the squad / team - what would your team formation look like?

16 Jul 2022 07:14:31
Well, not quite £100 million, 87ish to be exact. Problem is, you don't know what the future holds. When we bought them, they were worth that money.
They're not the most expensive, worst buys by Premier League teams though are they? It's a business, clubs take risks like other businesses.
Maguire; Torres; Lukaku, Kepa.

16 Jul 2022 07:29:45
I imagine Keita will want a bigger contract elsewhere than whatever we are offering, and with that he will scuttle off to be unreliable elsewhere. This then means that Milner, Ox and NK will all be departing next summer. Do we then want to integrate said new player (s) last minute, or have them settle in now in order to be primed for 2023?
The alternative is that Harvey, Fabio and Jones will eat up those minutes, although they are of a different profile .

16 Jul 2022 08:16:00
Reading behind ed002’s lines, maybe we will dip into the market…

I’m not so sure, we tend to get it business sorted early these days…. Time will tell

I do feel sorry for the Ox.

16 Jul 2022 09:33:29
Why can't we give elliot, Jones, carvalho and morton the chance to prove themselves?

16 Jul 2022 10:39:58
All of Elliott, Jones, Carvalho and Morton can fulfil the role in the squad that Ox and Keita play, but that said, we still have no one else bar Fabinho who can competently play at defensive midfield anchor/ number 6 role in midfield, and I’m not accepting that any argument that Henderson/ Milner/ Thiago “can play there”, because they genuinely cannot.

16 Jul 2022 11:42:58
It doesn't matter whether you accept the argument about cover for Fabinho or not 6Times. It's an argument that's lost before it's even brought up, Klopp feels those players can cover Fabinho's position and his word is final.
We supposedly didn't have adequate cover for Fabinho last season either, but I don't remember us falling apart or being dragged into a relegation battle.

16 Jul 2022 15:04:30
We should never have bought Ox in the first place. He was a sick note at Arsenal and everyone knew it then. We should get shut asap, and that's nothing personal but this is a business. I do feel for the bloke though. He reminds me of Woodgate. Someone who had huge potential but was always sidelined for one reason or another which hindered his career. Keita needs to be flogged as well. He's had enough time to bed in and it hasn't worked out. One of the kids can take his minutes. I do think we need one experienced midfielder though before going into the season. Who though, is the question.

16 Jul 2022 16:31:03
Woodgate did too much Class A, hence the recurring injuries. Another British player to p. his career away. Won’t be the last.
Grealish and Foden looking most likely from this generation .

16 Jul 2022 20:00:12
Ox will never walk alone, but it’s not walking that’s the issue, it’s anything over a light jog and he falls apart. ?.

16 Jul 2022 23:54:44
I see we are linked in the media with Amadeus Onana with someone reporting that Klopp is his ‘number one admirer’. And guess what he is primarily a defensive midfielder.

Can anybody who regularly watches Lille play provide a scouting report, please?

16 Jul 2022 23:57:46
Just thought on - if we sign Onana this season and Bellingham next we are building up nicely for my dream song … ‘Oh na na na na na na na na na na na hey Jude’. Sorry I’m getting a bit carried away.

17 Jul 2022 00:56:50
#Amadou - autocorrect strikes again.

17 Jul 2022 09:27:44
WDW did you use autocorrect or subconsciously put Amadeus because he rocks you? Sorry. I will hail a taxi.

17 Jul 2022 06:18:20
I will tell you 'Something', WDW you might need 'Help', with that auto correct, either that or just 'Let it be' mate.
