Good Morning Ed002,
If you have some time today I would appreciate your feedback.
Regarding outgoings assuming we finally allow Philips to go, although can't understand how we are rejecting bids for him still. Also Williams to go, there are not too many others to leave except youth to go on loan. Do you see us allowing Allison (Saudi) Jota or Gomes to move on? I appreciate if a good offer for Gravenberch, carvalho or Tsimikas we would let them go.
Also, it's been suggested to we have asked to be kept in the loop on Joao Gomes, Joao Neves, Valverde and Kimmich. Should we assume there is very little in these reports?
Thank you in advance and apologies if you have already given the latest updates on these. Have a nice day Ed002 ??.
{Ed002's Note - I think Alisson will stay and Jaros to take over as number two perhaps. Time for Pitaluga to go as he has done poorly in Ireland but it will be tough to find a buyer. Liverpool will now look to include Caoimhín Kelleher in a deal for Anthony Gordon to replace Diaz. Ramsey has gone on loan and Lewis has gone. Burgos will take Arroyo if released. Unclear about Bradley and Tsimikas. In terms of the CBs, There is interest in Phillips, Koumetio will be available, Matip has gone, Gomez' agent has been hawking him around. Williams is surplus. Konate will be open to a move.
I think it might be a significant mistake to let Sepp van den Berg leave as he seems to be an ideal Matip replacement, but he has made it clear he wants to move on. Liverpool will look to upgade Endo. Fringe midfield players like Beck, Morton and Clark could depart, perhaps some on loan. Mac Allister is on the 2025 lis for Real Madrid. Gravenberch, Gordon and Carvalho will be looked at in pre-season. Musialowski has gone. Diaz has burned bridges but may have nowhere to go except the Middle East. Salah may stay to rund down his contract.
Joao Gomes (CM) An alternate to CG for Spurs and a cheap option to Joao Neves for Manchester United. Wolves will look to keep him. I am not aware of any Liverpool interest.
Joao Neves (DM/CM) Discussed with Chelsea when meeting over another player as they were seeking a replacement for Loftus-Cheek last summer. Potential Casemiro replacement for Manchester United. Huge buy out clause and Benfica will not look to sell but recognise there will be growing interest and will insist that the buy out clause is met in full. Player is not keen on a new contract. Liverpool and Manchester City have sent scouts. PSG consider him an option to replace Ugarte and have offered cash plus two players. Versatile but falls over easily. I expect Manchester United to push even having a first offer rejected.
Federico Valverde (CM) New contract and staying.
Joshua Kimmich (DM/RB) Having agreed the move for Palhinha, Bayern Munich will make Kimmich available, a significant fee of perhaps €45M would be sought - perhaps beyond what interested sides Barcelona or Manchester City would pay for a 29 year old on €400k per week in the last year of his contract although both clubs may well look to find a solution that suits everybody with Barcelona willing to let a player move as part of a deal.
A wildcard option would be a move to replace Ugarte at PSG which would suit Manchester United who see him as a cheaper option to Neves. There is interest from Liverpool and Arsenal but it will likely go nowhere. The player has said he would like to play for Manchester City. New coach will have a say at Bayern Munich and that could lead to a one year extension. The player can be a serious pain in the neck for coaches.}

Morning ed002…
Will be interesting to see if Newcastle are interested in kelleher as part of any deal.
Also read Konate would he open to a move, is he not happy at the club?
Cheers
Drogie.
{Ed002's Note - The issue is Newcastle have already added Vlachodimos. I don't know whether Konate is happy or not but I suspect he will now ask for assurances of game time.}

Ed, these updates are incredible. Thank you as always.
Two questions if I may.
Firstly, Re VDB.
I know he’s not that reliable, but James Pearce tweeted yesterday that Liverpool have rejected offers for VDB to give him a chance in pre season. Which I think would be absolutely correct. Given the Dutch connection between him and Slot I would have thought this would be a given.
Are you are aware of any offers rejected or plans changing for him?
Secondly,
How much money do you think Liverpool will need to include along with Kelleher for Gordon?
I’d be a little skeptical selling to a future rival.
Ed, your info is appreciated by many. Thank you for your patience and knowledge!
{Ed002's Note - VDEB wants out - it has been made clear. Liverpool would need to persuade him to stay which I think they should be doing - but he would need to then be the effective Matip replacement.
If Liverpool offer perhaps £45M plus CK that may be of interest, but they have already signed another goalkeeper.}

Awesome response, Ed2. Thanks for including all the details.
I personally really like Joao Neves and think he could become world class but that's a crazy fee in my opinion.

Great update thank you Ed’s:2 ??.

€105m (presume it’s in euros? ) for an alleged defensive midfielder who is short, very slightly built and has a tendency to fall over a lot (in Ed’s words! ), feels like a player who is being vastly over priced and over rated. Personally I’d rather we went for Ederson over Neves. Been impressed every time I’ve seen him play and he looks the real deal.

ED02, thanks for all you do. Really appreciate all your efforts.
{Ed002's Note - You are welcome.}

One of my best friends supports Forest and says Vlachodimos is one of the worst keepers he's seen for them, they were out of the Premier League for a long time too so they must have had their fair share of poor keepers in that time.

Hi Ed’s,
Some update that really appreciate it.
If I can ask, with regards to Gordon as we all know we are well stocked and even if Diaz was to move in (if he has burnt his bridges then good bye lad good luck) we would still have Gakpo and Jota. So my question is would you see it being that Gordon and Gakpo would become the LW rotation and Jota would move in to a more central position to rotate with Nunez?
Finally do you see us making any signings any time soon I know the club are working on deals despite Hughes saying it’s opportunistic approach and a flurry of deals for the entire footballing world will happen in August, but are we actively closing in on deals to your knowledge or at least in discussion with clubs to agree fees etc?
Again thank you in advance for your insight.
{Ed002's Note - Liverpool are interested in Gordon. I cannot comment on the timing of transfers.}
