My question is simple really. Why have Liverpool not resolved the contract extension for Trent? I can understand Salah and VVD to a certain extent but having all 3 being able to sign a pre contract agreement in January (to foreign club), is a bit ridiculous. Can you shed any light?

I'd be ok losing Trent as I think Bradley is a more than suitable replacement and I'm not sure what Trent's best position is. It's the loss of what should be a significant transfer fee that bothers me.

It'll be sad to see Trent go, if he and the club decide what's best for both sides. I think Bradley is an able replacement and the club may decide to seriously go in for Frimpong. You lose a vice captain local boy, but you get a speedster who scored 14 goals with 12 assists, last year.
But I agree that it's ludicrous for the club to let TAA go on a free next summer.
In regards to the contracts of VVD, TAA and Salah, there are mentions and rumours in the media about one or the other being allowed to go on a free next summer. This is something I've never understood. The possibility of the club fighting tooth and nail on the prices of lesser players (Phillips for example) but can be letting far larger amounts for better players, go, simply makes no sense to me.

ArAy that's a strange approach to take. Allow a settled player familiar with the league, playing role, culture, weather and staff to leave and bring in another who doesn't know the culture, staff, weather and role to do the same thing.
Makes more sense to me to just sign the current guy. It's not like frimpong is a massive upgrade.
