Good morning Ed002,

I hope all is well with you.

If you have some time today I would appreciate a response.

As you have given in-depth updates over the past few weeks I was wondering if I am correct in my understanding of the current situation regarding incomings as not much has changed?

I don't want to waste your time so if you have time a yes or no would be good. Thank you Ed002

Koopmeiners- priority for Juventus who are moving players on to facilitate a move for him.

Inácio- Liverpool interested but have yet to make contact with his club. May or may not bid.

Ederson- currently gone cold with Liverpool.

Guehi- no interest from Liverpool.

Neves- PSG likely destination.

Valera- Currently gone cold with Liverpool

Gordon- no movement currently with Newcastle. Will likely stay with Newcastle

Pacho- gone cold.

Kimmich- likely to go elsewhere

Rabiot- likely to go elsewhere.

Summerville- unlikely although liked.

Bakayoko- unlikely although liked.

Yilmaz- no interest.

{Ed002's Note - Atalanta will resist the sale of Koopmeiners but the player wants the move.

Inacio - Something will be possible with Liverpool if they can persuade the player and pay the funds in a single payment. A van Dijk replacement for Liverpool - so perhaps they are the ones to watch.

Ederson - Atalanta want to keep him. With CL football and Gasperini staying put it makes it less likely he will be sold. I am not aware of Liverpool having made an offer but Spurs will push.

Guehi - I am not aware of any approach to Crystal Palace by Liverpool at this time but clubs are aware that Chelsea would be able to match any price and then have a 20% reduction in the fee. Manchester United may push.

Neves - PSG consider him an option to replace Ugarte and have offered cash plus two players - and they are confident they can sign him but will need to tweak the offer.

Varela - Porto has no interest in selling the player who only joined them in the summer of 2023 unless someone offered his buy out clause in a single payment, then the player will be consulted.

Gordon - I expect Liverpool to return with another offer - but Newcastle may insist on a straight sale without another player being involved now. Wildcard would be Manchester City.

Pacho - Currently the focus is on another CB.

Kimmich - In talks with another club now.

Rabiot - Looking at his options.

Summerville - In talks with another club already.

Bakayoko - I would not rule him out.

Yilmaz - I am not aware of any approach to Galatasaray by Liverpool.}

Ed002, will there be a CDM incoming this window? The options start to look thin.

{Ed002's Note - Possibly. The club were looking at options.}

Top man Ed!

Thanks, Ed.

Would be happy with Inacio/ Pacho and Ederson/ Varela. Sounds like they will all be pretty costly deals to do, though.

Not feeling optimistic at the moment.

Thank you so much Ed002, your reply was more than expected. Fair play ??.

Would it be safe to say the Inacio is currently the number one CB target at this time?

Nice update
Thanks Ed002.

Ed’s, would it be safe to say the Inacio is currently the number one CB target at this time?

{Ed002's Note - He was this morning. What time is it now?}

Atalanta has signed Ibrahim Sulemana (DM) . Hope
this is a first step for Liverpool to approach Atalanta to sign between Ederson or Koopmeiners.

Thanks Ed!

Can anyone shed light on why PSG are moving on from Ugarte so soon after signing him?

{Ed002's Note - Manuel Ugarte (DM) Agent has said that the player and PSG may be open to a move if the right offer is made. He has spoken with Chelsea but it is difficult to see if they have a need. He has also spoken with Manchester United, Juventus, Newcastle, Milan, Spurs and Arsenal. I suspect Italy is the most likely destination but PSG might see any sale being dependent on adding Guimaraes or Neves although, right now, he appears to be heading elsewhere. Manchester United may well push to add him as a Casemiro replacement.}

10 o'clock now Ed002 whos the CB target.

@Bme a, Ugarte has had his time as the generational talent. The relentless nomination of the ‘next best thing’ has moved on.

What I took from Ed02’s usual excellent synopsis of the current picture is, at present the most likely candidates, reaching the top of the clubs list, might be Koopmeiners, Inácio, Gordon and Bakayoko.

I’d be happy with three of the four of them, not so much the lad we got rid of who had about half a dozen goodish games for Everton then made his dream move to Newcastle where he was patchily effective when Newcastle were on top in games and has noe let it be known that his next dream is Liverpool.
