Anyone seen anything on Konate injury? I've heard it's ligaments and he is out for Sunday.
If true, it'll be a lot longer than one game, even if just a strain.
Please don't let it be true, he's been a monster this season ?.

If Ibou's out, I never thought I'd be saying this again, but Gomez hasn't done anything wrong this season when called upon and I'd back him to start at CB with Virgil and do well. Credit to him, and maybe he even deserves a run in the side if Ibou is out injured.
Quansah doesn't seem to be in the right headspace this season after the Ipswich 1st half struggles, the West Ham OG and the Brighton howler of a 2nd half. Hopefully he just needs some time out of the spotlight to regroup but that certainly means this is not the right game for him. Every beady eye in the football community will be keeping an close watch on the game this Sunday.

I thought the same Dean before the game but the second it kicked off I was desperate for us to turn them over so was very happy Slot didn’t take liberties.
Injuries happen it’s part of the game. It’s unfortunate but we have decent cover so we’ll be fine.

Gomez needs to come in and do his thing. Superb this season when playing CB. I have plenty of faith in him. Hopefully Konate and Bradley come back strong and we have our strongest squad going into new year.
Hopefully no more injuries now. They are piling up but we can still put out a very strong team.

No Quansah please, he is mistake prone and needs to play in cup games. Gomez is a great backup for Konate, we need Gomez to have a run of games going into Christmas. As for Konate injury, the source is from DaveOCKOP, I doubt it’s accurate.

Probably not the game you would want Gomez making his first league start of the season in but the plus side is that it’s home.
Gomez has gone from 4th choice centre half and 3rd choice Lb/ Rb to potentially starting centre back and 2nd choice Lb/ Rb in a week.
December could be a big month for the lad.

Gomez will be a worthy stand in and hopefully prove that he can challenge for a regular starting slot. Atmosphere is going to be electric I wish I was going up.

It wasn’t so much the starting 11 v RM it was the miss management. Get to 2-0 up and manage the game. Di the dirty things that Madrid would have done. Not to substitute Bradley was an horrendous decision, they just let him bomb forward, for what?
Konate, Bradley will miss the whole Christmas program and we will end up having to play midfielders at Full back. Robbo and Trent can’t play every game 90 minutes.

Disagree with the opinion above as well, Konate’s was just a mishap on the last play of the match, Bradley’s hamstring could happen at any time and Mbappe running at Trent for the last 20 mins is asking for trouble. RM have proved in the past that if you you let them into a match with a goal, they can score more.
It’s a weird situation when we are now more concerned about the absence of Bradley for a big match than we are happy about Trent being fit enough again to start. Personally, I would prefer Bradley to be playing today, maybe I have just accepted that Trent has already started packing his bags.
I’m very glad we have someone of the quality of Gomes to step in, worth remembering that this will be the back four who won us our first title in nearly 30 yrs. Not a bad situation to be in.

The anti-Gomez comments have aged beautifully. YNWA (unless you’re Joe Gomez it seems! ) . What a solid game for first PL game for a while and against the beast that is Michael van Gerwen’s younger brother too!
As for missing Bradley, Trent showed up. What a pre-assist for the first goal! And managed the physicality of Nunez and then the trickery of Doku on his first game back.
And all the media want to do is focus on contracts to disguise the fact we have injuries but are not using them to make excuses. We are using them to make us stronger!
