Whoever was commentating with Shearer last night said, Arsenal winning against Madrid guaranteed a fifth team from the premier league will be in the champions league next year due to the points system.
I would assume that would also be true if Villa win tonight.
Shearer was delighted for his own reasons as it would mean Newcastle are in the driving seat for that spot.
Unfortunately that may mean Issak stays with them for at least another season.

Delighted Arsenal stuffed Real Madrid last night. As we did earlier. A reminder to TAA that Madrid are nothing special. The player who wants to be our captain one day, win titles, along with the Ballon D'Or? . Yes he might win La Liga, a 2nd rate league compared to ours, and play with buddy Bellingham. But he will never win the Ballon D'Or playing for either. Full backs don't win that certainly one that is not the best defender in the world. He might be one of the best creative one's though.
