Ed, Klopp to Real Madrid, what you saying?
{Ed001's Note - they are trying once more to convince him, but no idea if they can convince his boss, even if they get him to agree. That is where the major problem is.}
18 Apr 2025 18:11:48
I hope he doesn’t go. Don’t think that club is for him! What do you think?
{Ed001's Note - I think it would be a mistake for him,, they are not a good fit. I am sure he would win stuff, but it is a soulless club.}
18 Apr 2025 19:27:53
Klopp values life and family time more than climbing the greasy pole. Real are everything that he is not.
18 Apr 2025 19:56:20
Ed are you implying a scenario where he would coach RM and maintain his position with Red Bull concurrently?
{Ed001's Note - no, not even close to implying that. Where did you get that from? Isn't it obvious I mean Mona? She was the reason he stayed for an extended spell at Liverpool, she is why he retired from club management.}
18 Apr 2025 21:28:08
Exactly why I’m confused why Trent wants the move.
18 Apr 2025 21:39:06
lol I didn’t even think of Mona until you mentioned it ed1!
Be interesting to see what’s Klopp could do there.
On flip side, Klopp could breathe new life and a soul into that club.
18 Apr 2025 23:25:00
Who is Mona? If you're referring to Klopp's wife, isn't her name Ulla? I'm missing something here.
{Ed001's Note - sorry, my mistake, I was out and about at the time and couldn't think of her name and for some reason Mona came to mind. It is old age really catching up with me, mixing up names a lot lately. Normally I would check but on my phone I didn't bother, apologies. Mona of course is the nutrition lady Klopp brought over.}

No problem Ed. For a second there, I thought Klopp Klopp had pulled a Rodgers or Guardiola move when he was still with us. ?.
{Ed001's Note - hahaha no, thankfully.}
19 Apr 2025 01:34:26
I can't see why klopp would be interested, he moved away from management because he was finding it hard to deal with the constant ups and downs and wanted something less mental.
I also don't think the group of players currently at Madrid would respond to klopp tactics or methods. Luis Enrique plays a similar high octane pressing game and mbappe wouldn't do it there, can't see why he'd do it at madrid.
From what I know, which isn't much people inside Madrid aren't convinced they can persuade klopp either they're just testing options now they've soured a bit on xabi.

Agree with most of the comments.
Club management is too much, he’s achieved all he can. League titles in multiple leagues. European champions, domestic cups, club world champions.
National team management makes sense because it’s not a day-to-day job. You don’t get involved in transfers, you only have training sessions when there’s a game/ tournament.
19 Apr 2025 09:46:27
Klopp won’t go to RM or Brazil.
19 Apr 2025 12:36:18
Wasn't Klopp's next ambition after a break to coach the German National team?
If he looked like the grim reaper at the end in Liverpool and FSG imagine 2 years at Madrid.
Don't see the Mrs sanctioning it even though the commute to the villa in Majorca is not long.
19 Apr 2025 12:52:42
Part of the reason he quit is because he was in and out of broad green ozzy. Wasn’t a well man, stress and passion aren’t good for the heart.
You can see how much better he looks out of the front lines of the game right now. I hope he doesn’t go back to management, he’s proven his worth as a manager on the highest stages, he deserves the rest and time to enjoy his family.
{Ed025's Note - hes getting lots of rest in his Trivago bedroom Jerry.. :)
19 Apr 2025 12:52:14
ED001 I think that's Klopp name for her n all other married men . MONA.
19 Apr 2025 15:53:44
Edd001 you described that perfectly. Soulless club. Journalist on sky got heat for saying basically the same relating to trent leaving and what Liverpool was compared to mardrid. Same for klopp.
But money talks.
{Ed001's Note - trophies are what talks as well, and being the face of a brand, like Bellingham was sold to join Madrid. Adidas wanted him at Madrid to launch his own clothing range, if Bellingham had joined us, that wouldn't have happened as we were with Nike.}
19 Apr 2025 16:34:11
Edd001 that's great info, thanks for that. On Bellingham, it might not be a fairytale story there for the lad. I think his games far more suited to the Premier league. He's also becoming more unlikeable to non Madrid fans.
Also on the brand topic, those tariffs have opened up a lot more eyes on those corporations, where they actually make their products and the insane profit margins.
{Ed001's Note - very welcome. Madrid, like Barca, are a thoroughly detestable club imo.}
