Hi Eds. Hope you're all well.
Fair amount of noise around Cunha and Man U. Fair amount of concern on here about the possibility of him going there.
Do you know if LFC are approaching him about a possible move? Might calm some of the high blood pressures on here if they are.
Thanks again.
{Ed001's Note - I wouldn't stress. This just all seems to be the agent getting the info out there that he is available and Wolves are willing to accept instalments.}

Would people want him? He in no way passes the “no d! ckheads” test.
He constantly moans at his colleagues, his discipline is appalling and he doesn’t track back the way he’d need to. He’s the antithesis of a Liverpool player.
He’s a perfect fit for United. A mercenary with a rotten attitude.
{Ed025's Note - i must admit i do like a player with an edge to him WOW, and hes a very good player with an edge mate..

We are about to win a league title and people are getting stressed about Matheus Cunha maybe going to Manchester United ?.

Ed025
I love a nark. You need a bit of that or you’re done at the highest level. It’s why I’m not wedded to Gakpo, he’s a bit of a popcorn fart.
My issue is his sucker punch on an old man isn’t “fight” it’s cowardice and his moaning at his teammates isn’t right. He’s like Pogba, always telling people what to do.
{Ed025's Note - hes getting away with that at wolves WOW because he is the star player and nobody wants to upset him, at Liverpool he would be around better players and a stronger management team mate so i would imagine he would be brought into line..
22 Apr 2025 16:32:54
Maybe, I hope I’m wrong if we do get him. We won’t know until he’s there and if it was based around talent he’s a shoe in.
Another issue is what is the boss looking for. He was adamant that his nine needs to get goals. I’d imagine if he had a free hand an Isak or an Alvarez would arrive. Cunha has shades of Bobby about him. He looks like a 10.
{Ed025's Note - i think he is better than what you have now WOW, and would do a good job for you mate..
22 Apr 2025 16:37:57
Why would he move to utd.
If liverpool, arsenal, Chelsea or Newcastle came in, he'll go there.
{Ed025's Note - money will be the deciding factor Phil..
22 Apr 2025 16:51:44
It definitely won’t be for the free dinners.
22 Apr 2025 17:42:26
Snap him up, too good for United. Just the one to sort the problem of packed defences. Even messi and Ronaldo had a nasty streak in them. Would love Isak and cunha, however I believe semenyo could be very good for us too.
22 Apr 2025 17:52:53
No way we are paying brighton prices - id take Cunha at 60 over pedro at 100m.
22 Apr 2025 18:08:20
Terrific player cunha and of the forwards in prem I think he would suit us best, both in his play and also if the 62m release fee is correct. Before slot came in the talk was that he liked an out and out no.9 but having watched his team for a season I think it more a firmino type that suit him.
22 Apr 2025 18:21:45
No way he's going to waste potentially his best years churning at United. They will have big issues attracting top players.
22 Apr 2025 18:34:55
Who cares about what Man U do, unless your salah who will cry like a 2 year old.
22 Apr 2025 18:49:31
He can go Man U and help Bruno destroy the little morale left in some of the squad - happy to watch and grin at a distance. We can meantime look at players that know what a team sport requires decent individual ability / skills and exceptional team skills!
22 Apr 2025 19:26:34
He looks like an Everton signing to me after they have sold Branthwaite.
{Ed025's Note - that would work for me Langland..
22 Apr 2025 19:43:54
Ed025, you have become the Paul Joyce of the page now, a Everton suppotrter with good info, and opinions on LFC : P
All kidding aside, cheers for your input. KC.
{Ed025's Note - cheers KC, i am a bit opinionated i suppose but im just an average joe who loves the city and want both teams to do well mate, i love discussing football and anything to do with Merseyside with my mates who argue like cat and dog over everything....yet it never gets out of hand...its great.. :)
22 Apr 2025 20:49:43
Cheers Ed025 for trying to help fill the big hole we have now. I have a feeling he will be smiling big somewhere in the next week or two! YNWA.
{Ed025's Note - i hope so KC..

I posted in February about Slot and his teams priority positions and first choice player for each position.
As stated back then, nothing had really changed much. Cunha is being considered for the 10 role, NOT the central striker position. Doubts over Szobo’s output still as not hitting the numbers they expect someone like Cunha could do in that role.
RB is now more of a consideration, but only looking at competition for Bradley, not a starter. Hence LB, CB, No. 10 and Striker being priority for Slot and his coaches.
23 Apr 2025 08:22:39
I tell you what we should just sack slot and give Why0why the reigns he thinks he's right and everyone else's opinion is wrong, god help his Mrs if he has one.
23 Apr 2025 10:02:51
It's funny how many people who supported Nunez, Suarez, Ruddock, sounness and many others say they don't want to sign Cunha because he's a bit of a knob.
We've signed plenty of assholes before, as long as they're talented does it matter? I doubt very few people would have swerved Romário, Zidane, Maradona, best because they were knob heads.

Hi Slitshair,
That’s a silly idea, Arne Slot is a highly skilled and successful football manager. I am not.
With daft ideas like this I can now see why you reach daft conclusions.
23 Apr 2025 11:01:18
Let’s hope that is very wrong - I expect it to be! One thing I think Klopp and Arne have in common is to ensure they pick the right characters, characters that help build and maintain a team ethos. We don’t need a disruptive individualist IMO hopefully and expectantly in Slot’s too.
23 Apr 2025 11:29:31
I read give and in fairness to WoW I think he was just offering an opinion, which pretty much everyone does on this site. It don’t make him right it don’t make him wrong and he may or may not have the same view as our manager, we don’t know.
As you can see from my posts on this subject I share a similar opinion about “potentially” disruptive characters to a “team”. Don’t mean I’m right means I have an opinion.
I love the harmony, I love the fact that our superstars act like the team are superstars and not them alone. It’s a team sport and their level of humbleness affords the team or actually squad a great morale offering!
We saw a PSG team full of “superstars” self proclaimed as well as publically in the past whilst we now see a superstar “team” that is fairing so much better without self proclamation. We saw it with Madrid in the past. I also believe that Man U’s plight is not down alone to poor team signings (as a collective ability they should really be higher - not high high but higher) and I think that their best “individual” player has far from helped that - he has attitude but wrong attitude for me and that can offer disruption.
All that said IT IS MY OPINION much the same (but some different) as others.
23 Apr 2025 16:45:04
@Vango - who’s paying £100m for Pedro?
Surely nobody.
23 Apr 2025 20:50:45
MetroRed
United have signed mercenaries and they're reaping the rewards.
You’re absolutely correct.
