Liverpool have once again made a strong push for Dean #Huijsen in recent days!
Projects and figures have all been presented.
At Liverpool, there are plans to either loan or sell Jarell Quansah, with Huijsen potentially taking over that squad role.
As per florian pletternberg.

I’d love us to sign Huijsen…. But apparently Chelsea and other clubs are sniffing around him too.
Hope he chooses the best team…… Us.

Cant see Huijsen signing to be a squad player . he a starter imo.

A strong push? We giving birth to him?

Huijsen to take over the squad role from Quansah.
Hopefully that is not the way we are selling the project to him otherwise i highly doubt he would be attracted to it.

replace quansah is funny!

I think you will find he is being sold the move on being Virgils long term replacement, not a Quansah one. My ma could replace him ?.

Huijsen is a starter for us if he signs. He's absolutely miles better than Konate, Gomez or Quansah. Maybe we could loan Quansah to Bournemouth as part of the deal to get him some regular first team experience. I know Virgil and Huijsen both play as the left sided CB but I'm sure with a pre-season behind them they could figure it out between them. It might actually make Virgil less lackadaisical if he had to actually think about his game again instead of finding it so easy every week.

It seems odd that our targets are known already.

So £50m for a back up.
Does that tally with how the club operate. We have a perfectly good back up to Frances Captain and Hollands Captain.
I can see us buying him and leaving him there for a season under a world class manager getting 50 games a season and then we have a handover year in 26/ 27.

Huijsen left juve to get game time. He signed with Bournemouth because they offered game time. I find it very doubtful he would come to be back up. If we sign him then he will be expecting to play often.

How VERY dare the OP chuck a post up and smudge your best dresses ladies. handbags up. at least chest height.

Konate is.
24 Apr 2025 19:28:02
Konate is France’s captain?
24 Apr 2025 20:49:14
Huijsen can play with both feet so not an issue.
If Konate doesn’t sign a new deal like other they need to be moved on. We can’t have another summer like last season with three to four players in the final twelve months. Diaz is another in same situation. I think Konate is PSG bound if he doesn’t sign.
24 Apr 2025 22:18:18
“Moved on” eh? Sounds way doesn’t it?
24 Apr 2025 22:30:02
Absolutely miles better than Konate? top talent, and has the potential to be but isn't at the moment.
25 Apr 2025 01:52:10
Why does konate not get the respect he deserves on here, even after staying fit for 90% of the campaign and playing the best season of his life?
25 Apr 2025 08:19:50
Huijsen can use both feet so could be our left back instead of Robbo and the Scouse Greek.

Patrik, I believe Konate is a match made in heaven for Trent because he is quick and good in 1v1 ground duels which allows him to cover for Trent's attacking nature, but on the flip side Trent is good at covering for Konate's lack of quality with the ball as he can turn a bad pass into a good pass and he'll also come and take the ball off Konate to start attacks himself from deep. We probably need to re-think the right side of the defence if Trent leaves though in my opinion and Huijsen is comfortably a better all around CB.
25 Apr 2025 12:15:14
Huijsen and kerkez from bournmouth with quansah going the other way on loan is a great deal but as others have said huijsen won’t want to come and sit on the bench so unless konate is refusing a new deal I don’t see it happening but hope I’m wrong because he looks a talent.
25 Apr 2025 12:57:19
Everyone saying quansah out? We keeping Joe Gomez then? Guys never fit…. needs to go before contemplating quansah leaving.

Huijsen is better on the ball but konate is easily a better player than him overall right now, I think it's silly to suggest otherwise just because huijsen has all the hype surrounding him as a shiny young prospect. Konate is much better in the air, which is actually important for a center half you know, he is stronger in the box and on the ground, and it's not like he's terrible on the ball, I seem to remember him hitting long switches to Salah against Fulham. Of course huijsen would be better carrying the ball out of defence or fizzing passes with either foot through the lines, but as a defender I still think konate is comfortably ahead of huijsen. In fact I would not want huijsen paired with Virgil consistently because they are somewhat similar sorts of players, whereas konate is the all action mobile beast of a defender sweeping up, covering space and winning duels.
