Ed's I've seen Chelsea are possibly in for a Morgan Rogers in the summer, do u reckon we'd be in for him if available? Also any idea what strikers we'll be looking at?

I'd happily take Roger but I'd like us to go for Gibbs-White personally. I think he is like a hybrid of Rogers and Paqueta. He's been one of the stand-out midfielders in the Premier League this season. Forest would be utterly mental to let him go mind you but conveniently for us, Villa and Forest have PSR concerns so could be forced into making sales.

I'm with you MK on this one.
Rogers is serious talent and younger but my god do I love Gibbs-white. I think he is unreal. He would be my preference slightly out of the two.
Haven't heard your thoughts on Gibbs-White before Ed001? would he be someone you would be interested in for us?

Gibbs-White is a talented lad for sure Adam. Is he a bit lazy for us though? Rogers has no shortage of energy i think he would be brilliant for us.

As good as they both are, and they’re both very good, they have similar skill sets to other midfielders already at the club (Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Elliott and Jones), as neither Villa nor Forest want to sell and both have “English Tax”, they are going to be very far north of £100m, and given other priorities in the squad, I just don’t see that adding another attack minded midfielder should be high up the list unless one of Elliott or Jones was leaving. If we are going for a midfielder it should be Baleba or Ederson to give us some steel and solidity in the middle. Creating chances isn’t an issue.

Some of you must work at United in their recruitment team: “see good player, want good player”.
Both Rodgers and MGW are top players but we don’t play in a way that accommodates them in anyway.
MGW is a 10, so we drop Dom. What’s the knock on? The reason Mo has 46 g/ a is Dom is his cover and his legs. Are we hoping MGW will do that, because …. nah.
As to Rodger’s, he is the closest in terms of ball progression in tight spaces that I have seen since R9. He also has the worst shot, shot selection and shot power I’ve ever seen. Absolutely mad how little we value our own players, but who are you dropping. He’s not a nine, not an 8 and not a winger. Diaz, Gakpo?

Salah used to get a few goals and assists before Dom signed for us.

And he had Hendo as his legs in his best seasons.
But he’s never had a higher g/ a than this season because he doesn’t have to defend as much. That is a viable option because of Dom.
But yeah, let’s play a traditional 10, something we’ve never done.

I reckon Salah would have to defend less playing with Henderson, Wijnaldum, Fabinho, Milner, Mane and Firmino.
Maybe Salah scored fewer goals because we were more defensively strong and Mane and Firmino would chip in with more goals than the front players Salah is playing with.

Rigsby. Klopp was quite clear that only Messi doesn’t have to do defensive work in his team. That’s was it, that was the exception. It worked, under Klopp we were brilliant. Now we have Ryan and Dom to cover for Mo we can point him at goal and just let him do what he does. This is also brilliant.
You sign a player like MGW then you let him do what he does best, be a 10. We don’t play with a 10. Mo would have to defend more so we may compromise the output of the leagues top performer to fit in a player who doesn’t fit our style of play who is nothing like as effective as Mo.
This seems a bit silly.
