Ideal Transfer Window

Looks like and hopefully it is, an exciting transfer window ahead.
What transfer would you guys like to see?

Out:
1) Kelleher sold (love him, but need the cash)
2) Tsmikas, time to make way for a younger and better version
3) Nunez (love his endeavour, but over time, it is confirmed, he is not good enough)
4) One of Quansah/Gomez (I like both for different reasons but time for an upgrade)
5) Chiesa - matter of cutting loss, although early days. Based on what I have seen so far, my suspicion is he is not made for the robustness of the league

In:
1) Huijsen
2) Kerkez
3) No. 9 (please suggest) - I keep seeing Isak, but given the price, it is unlikely I would think
4) No. 6 - likewise, not sure who is reasonable and good taregt
5) RB ( if Gomez is sold, since not sure who else to provide back up)
6) Kudus- There is an outstanding player here, and should be considered if Diaz/Jota also leav

Mean not entirely sure on how realistic but:

Cb - Huijsen or Murillo (though is left footed)
Lb - Kerkez or Robinson
Dm - Wharton or baleba

With forwards if he won’t sign extension would move Diaz and would also move Jota and Nunez. If three went Cunha, sesko and Jonathan David would be a plausible combination.

If we can go big Isaak or Morgan Rogers. But guess time will tell.

Jota is a spent force.

I’m not gomez’s biggest fan but the lad is very useful being able to play along the back line has more experience than anyone we could bring in, keeps his head down never moans or asks to leave ( I think) in fact I don’t think I’ve ever heard him speak. If he wants to stay I’d keep him. He deserves that he’s still a good player.

I agree there scouse John. Doubt Gomez would generate a huge transfer fee and can’t think he’d be on a massive wage so his versatility might be better value than selling him.

Newcastle offered 45m for Gomnez in the summer as part of the deal for Gordon. English tax.

Just for the fun:
Out:
Kelleher
Gomez
Tsimikas
Elliot
Chiesa
Jota
Darwin

In:
Valencia GK
Frimpong
Huijsen/ Murillo
Kerkez/ Hato
Wharton
Xavi Simmons
Julian Alvarez
Sesko.

That may or may not be the case Johnny, always sounded a duff story that to me, plus with another injury struck season behind him there is no way we’ll see another offer that size. He’s great backup and can stay for me.

Kelleher is the absolute nailed on favourite to move sadly, as with Mamardashvili signing Kelleher will automatically move from second choice keeper to third in line, ye won't get any odds from the bookies for him going, great servant to the club, conducts himself admirably other players should have followed his prime example and also earned the respect that Kelleher will imminently receive. Jurgen will be the first with the richly deserved accolades.

Would not be surprised at all that with the Trent fiasco and despite Becks having adequate years left on his contract, that LFC would consider any serious offer around the circa 60 mill plus region, if he was signed for 68 million and went for the same that would represent shrewd buying and selling.

LFC have just been unjustly badly stung by player power we can't afford that repeatedly every year (no answer to Bosman transfers I would reluctantly say) half a loaf is better than none, also to consider is will Arne's first ever signing not be considered first choice next year! what could he reply to John Henry if Henry whispered why did you sign him to sit on the bench, when we already had a WC goalie with years on his contract?

Henry has probably muted that to Arne with regards to Chiesa, who knows Marv7?

Ok, just for rubbishs and giggles here's my list:

Out:
Kelleher
TAA
Konate (we need a fee if he's not going to sign a new contract)
Tsimikas
Phillips
Williams
Endo
Morton
Elliott
Diaz
Nunez
Chiesa
Doak
Jota

In:
Marmadashvili
Frimpong
Huijsen
Hato
Wharton
Xavi Simons
Jonathan David
Julian Alvarez.

For God's sake, anyone bar Fabio Borini.

White smoke at the Vatican today is that for the two RM players getting married pre-season.

Any Trent well wishers had their invitations yet!

In an ideal world (not that I think we get these) :

Out:

Keller
Tsimi
Phillips
Williams
Konate (only if he doesn't sign)
Morton
Chiesa
Nuñez
Jota/ Diaz (I'd say one of them, not both if Nuñez also going)

In:

Marma
Kerkez
Hujisen
DM (would love a destroyer next to Grav)
Cunha
Isak (probably stays with NUFC for another season if they get CL)

I have a feeling a lot can change in terms of CB, LB and RB in terms of who we get based on what happens with Konate. Ideally they get that sorted with him ASAP and it doesn't drag for too long.

cornwell finest, you are changing the entire team! :)

the few occasions I saw Wharton, I was not impressed.
the players who impressed for premier leagure are:
1. Morgan Rogers - Very good, but I think between a 8 and 10, I feel like a more physical faster macallister. If we can do with him as a backup 6,8,10.it will be fantastic
2. Kudus - Outstanding player, I will have him over Diaz, or Gakpo
3. Cole Palmer - Very very skillful and intelligent player, maybe false 9 in our system.

How hard is it to understand that if a player - say TAA or Konate - has a contract that they are happy to fulfill then the club can’t do anything about selling them. The club and the player both signed the contract so both knew what they were getting into.

As much as the club (and fans) want to sell him Rey can’t do anything about it if he doesn’t want to leave.

We can hope the any new contracts the club offer - having learnt their lesson - have clauses from preventing thus situation happening again - option for club to exercise triggering if contract extensions if players are ‘waiting’ to sign for Ian other club, as an eample. We shall see.

I would prefer defensive additions over attacking ones. Kerkez, Hato and Frimpong (who could cover for Mo and afcon) . We need a no 9, with Nunez definitely going, and Jota likely too, and David is free, but I’d like Harvey to play more and a look at Doak as well in the squad. The full backs bar Bradley need an upgrade. And in a huge Robbo fan. I’d like to see Quansah on loan. He needs his confidence lifted. I don't rate him at RB or CB.

09 May 2025 10:01:29
1) Huijsen/ Murillo, Hato
2) De cuyper - Starter LB
3) No. 9 - Jonathan David and Delap as back up
4) No. 6 - Angelo stiller
5) RB - Guehi (As back upto Bradley and CB cover), Frimpong (As utility player, can play as RWB and RW cover for salah)
6) Morgan Rogers - HG and can play RW, LW and CAM.
