Hello all,
New to here, got some news I thought i'd share.
Jermie Frimpong to Liverpool is all but done.
LFC have also been invited by Real Madrid to bid for Rodrygo, no idea if he'd be keen on a move. City and Chelsea are also interested.
The club are looking at 'creative options' in the transfer market. When asked, I was told 2 of Europe's top centre forwards are being monitored with player exchanges discussed.
A bit more news in the pipeline too with outgoings so expect some news soon.
More on incomings in the following weeks.

I heard we invited Real Madrid to bid for our young academy duo sodoffinho and doonenski.
On a serious note, thanks for the rumour. I think Frimpong would be a good signing. Rodrygo i don't think we need, he plays mostly as a RW, will have huge wages and obviously cost a lot in Transfer and agent fees so I don't think we'll bid for him.
As the late ed002 always said player exchanges rarely never happen, and when they do its mostly in Italy.

Cheers Carra, one of the more believable rumours to be honest. I'd be very happy with Frimpong. His versatility is a huge pro. Being able to compete/ rotate with both Bradley and Salah on that right hand side means we effectively only need 1 player to replace both Chiesa and Trent. One of the young wingers could be promoted then to get more minutes (Koumas, Doak, Rio etc) as the 6th choice forward.
I personally hope the striker we want is Osimhen (I'm assuming Isak is totally unrealistic with Newcastle near enough certain of Champions League football now) . I think if we had Gakpo, Diaz and Frimpong as a front 3 during the AFCON we'd still be more than capable of scoring goals and winning games.

Tasty rumours I love it. Frimpong would be great, probably will mean an adjustment in our style perhaps not so much as an inverted FB pushing into midfield, more of a case for 1 of CB or CM covering the RB position as Frimpong bombs on. Pretty exciting prospect imo.

Player exchanges will happen more and more in the premier league due to financial Restraints.
I see Liverpool looking to include players for a deal with Isaak. I wouldn’t rule out Anthony Gordon either.

While Frimpong isn't my first, second or third choice stylistically, I like a decisive move after so much dithering in previous windows. And the homegrown qualification can only help.

The right footed Rodrygo plays most on the right but he can and has played all across the front line. Is the right his best position at Real or just because that's where they needed him?
Think he would be a good signing if the finances are OK. Quality and versatility. We were linked to him when he was 17 I think also.

Ed, seeing that Trent is gone, how is our situation with HG rules? Do we need to add more HG players or are we still okay on that rules?

I think it's not that we desperately need more home grown players as it stands. However, the concern is that some of the players we will or could sell this summer make up the bulk of our home grown cohort - eg Kelleher, Gomez, Quansah, Elliott, Morton etc. Add Trent to that list too.

Not a fan of Rodrygo at all, just me personally don't fancy him playing wise, would much rather Sesko or Ekitike (spellings) let Frimpong, Salah, Chiesa even Doak ( who i think will be sold for funds unfortunately as i really like him) be the right sided options, more than good enough for the challenges ahead, a top class, exciting forward is what we need.

In answer to Ed078: If they are itk as they would suggest they would be a very welcome addition to the site but obviously only time will tell. As it stands it is a credible rumour but nothing new that I hadn't read either on here or from other football sites.
