Finding this new Salah interview quite strange where he suggested that the fans were wrong to treat Trent the way we have, and that he deserves a proper farewell etc.
Everything that I have heard from inside the club and around the players is that the general feeling is that of disappointment in him, likewise to the fans feelings too.

Really, everything you've heard from inside club and players is disappointment in him? Name a few players and sources please.
Also, being disappointed in his decision is natural. We fans have seen him grown with the club and be an integral part of it. Generally always had his back when it came to england selection disappointments too. So naturally upset to see him go. But think salah and others are smart enough to know he gave it all (professionally) and they respect his decision moving forward in a mature way.
No one is greater than the club.

Maybe the clubs PR department are pushing the players to back TAA to quiet the negative media and fans as it's taking away from winning the title?
16 May 2025 17:24:12
The whole Trent reaction has been blown out of all proportion. A minority of fans in the stadium booed him. Is it really that surprising? He's leaving for Real Madrid on a free when we are realistically competing for all trophies. I wouldn't personally boo him but I completely understand fans who do. What did people expect to happen? The same would happen at any other club in our situation. The media are trying to make out the reaction was something beyond the pale to create a story for clicks. I find the engagement farming and outrage culture in modern football incredibly tedious. Too many parasites in the industry.
16 May 2025 17:29:42
What did trent expect? A knighthood. Liverpool fans owe him nothing. He's made his bed and now he can lie in it. The club should be held responsible for this aswell.
16 May 2025 17:31:19
20 years he sacrificed for this club and what did he get in return apart from all his medals and about 40 million in pay.
Also for 10 of those years from 6-16 he wasn’t even paid.
But on a serious note I can’t see him playing again this season and it’s a shame it’s ended this way but he will move on and so will the club.
16 May 2025 18:01:49
No worries JawRed mate, I’ll just list everyone I get whispers off now so you can be pleased.
16 May 2025 18:26:40
It wasn’t a minority that booed, self inflicted, Liverpool fans are the most loyal in the land it takes a lot to get them to turn on you once we do there’s no coming back.
16 May 2025 18:30:22
He isn't going to publicly throw his mate of 8 years or so under the bus. The timing might have been awful but Trent is one of our own and we all make mistakes. I sincerely hope he sits out the brighton game to let the dust settle but plays against palace and gets a round of applause even if it's a solemn one when we lift the trophy, he has been a part of the last 8 years success wether you me or anyone likes his decision or not and deserves that.
16 May 2025 18:36:11
It's gone now, no use talking about things you can never alter!
If we had beaten Plymouth Argyle and also beaten 115 charges and counting most comprehensively for the third time this season, then we would be Wembley Bound (without sending 5,000 tickets back! ) tomorrow to face Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final 4:30 KO
Arne-Field would of won the Double in his first Season.
But like me opening sentences, it's no use talking about things ye can never alter!
16 May 2025 18:46:02
Personally I don’t think Trent should have been named in the squad as soon as he made that public announcement to the fans.
He doesn’t want to be here anymore, so he shouldn’t have played for us again in my humble opinion .
Clearly it was going to upset a lot of fans, and understandably.
16 May 2025 19:00:26
Well as has been said we can't tell anyone else how to feel. This issue I have is how long Trent signs for. He signed with us for 4 years. Rumours he'll sign for 6 for RM. If that happens then that for me seals his legacy. Or lack thereof.
16 May 2025 19:00:57
Salah is right.
16 May 2025 19:07:56
Nomids, I think that RM and JB have been in Trent's ear for 2 years and no matter what the club did he was off. Highest paid RB in the league by media accounts and wasn't enough. I never got the vice captain thing either. In hindsight a terrible decision that should have gone to Robbo. At least he puts in 100% every game unlike Trent.
16 May 2025 19:21:15
The 20 year statement bugs me. Pr statement. Who speaks about playing as a kiddie when leaving or joining a club. It's a pathetic way to justify leaving. "gave his all for 20 years". Where's the child labour laws? Foolish tripe and it's all beginning to aggravate the fans. Sooner he's gone the better. Sickening how it was planned and disgusting how it's taking away from our 20th title. In what world should we celebrate and cater to an arrogant footballer and his messy brother who's choosing to join a different employer.
16 May 2025 19:30:04
Problem is we tripped on a banana skin.
16 May 2025 19:35:16
Go on then @Victor, name names. So far your whispers seem to correspond with what appears on social media.
16 May 2025 20:05:38
Agree with red flyer probably wasn’t ever going to sign and his brother who will be set for life with this was in his ear, if he strung the club along to get the free transfer then he deserves the boos imho.
16 May 2025 20:06:30
Personally I think Arnold should be placed on gardening leave for the remainder of his contract, and certainly not allow him to start his contract with Madrid early, he should take no further part in club related activity. So no training at the AXA, not being involved in match day squads, no attending trophy presentation and no trophy parade. He can sit and stew while he waits for his new club, and for us, there’s no further toxic atmosphere at the matches.
16 May 2025 20:18:14
The way he handle his exit is worse then him leaving itself, it took him 2 months to tell the club he agreed to join Madrid and honestly he isn't irreplaceable for us.
For me the fact as a boyhood fan that he claims to be choosing winning the Balon D'Or over captaining your boyhood club or winning trophies with them says a lot about how much he really loved the club.
16 May 2025 21:59:54
Trent who. Already moved on to supporting the next Phil Neal replacement! Opened my box with fotos of McMath, OweMe and add Ale$and€r and put trophy number 20 on top of it. MU KCUF.
16 May 2025 22:10:38
I agree Irish, players should look out for each other and the main reason players are well paid now is because of Bosman.
Salah sticking up for his team mate, good on him ?.
16 May 2025 22:51:06
What’s funnier is Salah thinks he’ll win the Balon d’or.
17 May 2025 05:25:31
Trent timed the announcement badly. Could have left it until after the parade and avoided the drama and negativity. Hopefully he doesn't play the last two games because he will get jeered for any errors or lack of effort, and his mind is unlikely to be fully on the game.
Personally, i feel he has left already so would prefer Bradley played against Brighton and Palace.
17 May 2025 06:35:08
This page definitely needs more sloppy, repetitive chat about a player who’s leaving if it’s to survive, yes.
17 May 2025 07:40:59
@OP, why do you find it strange? Perhaps Salah, being a decent human being - and, far more importantly someone who actually knows TAA - thinks that the booing is wrong. Just because Salah has a different opinion to a small number of childish and petty morons doesn’t make it strange.
17 May 2025 07:50:59
@wdw4: go back to bed lad. No one is childish/ petty for having an opinion just you!
17 May 2025 07:51:54
What else is Mo supposed to say? Of course he's going to support his team mate. Easy to say when you make 400k a week basic salary and you're out of touch with the everyday fan who lives sleeps eats breathes everything Liverpool FC. It feels like a betrayal to many like it or not. Better players have left us and will again in the future. But we move on and we support the players that want to be here.
17 May 2025 09:55:46
The trouble is @Scouse John that some people can only imagine what they would do. There is very little, if any, consideration that other people might see things / do things differently. A bit like you just did - you have an opinion about TAA, which is fair enough and, if you were him, you would never leave, like a lot of people, which is again fair enough. But what if there was more to it? What if it is a life choice? I bet you’d brush that off because it is just something you wouldn’t do.
17 May 2025 11:43:21
WDW I ain't petty or a moron, I just like you am allowed to air my frustrations. As scousejohn said, we are the loyalist fans in the land. It takes a lot for us to turn, some people just don't understand the local lad/ local club mentality we have especially if you ain't Liverpool born and bred.
The irony of the 20 years statement was, he was sat there talking to rat face who stayed at UTD his entire career and he said nothing ?.
